The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas review!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing the Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas!

+B: Had a weird pace and took me a while to like the characters.

“If you can learn to endure pain, you can survive anything. Some people learn to embrace it- to love it. Some endure it through drowning it in sorrow, or by making themselves forget. Others turn it into anger.”

Remember how I said I was going to do this review in like 2016 while it’s 2018 and I’m now writing this review. I don’t why I haven’t written it before I think it’s because a fine book that I don’t have a lot of opinions and a whole book that is focused a character that I don’t like as much as used isn’t as interesting. Also because of reason that have been pointed out to me that this series kills off POC characters and non straighter characters or puts them in stereotypes. I still like this series but I don’t think my love will be on the same level that it was on before. I case you’re new here I have reviews for all the Throne of Glass books. I have a review Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, and Empire of Storms, Tower of Dawn so if you would like to read one then click on the names of the books or just go look at the Throne of Glass category on the side. I reread this book because Aisha from A Chapter of Aisha is hosting a read along and I’m a part of it and for the month of March this was what we were reading.

Now this book isn’t my favorite in fact that was the reason it took me so long to read it hell just to review it. I just don’t have a lot of thoughts on it. I should have done it when I still liked this series. I mean I still like it but not as much. Weirdly sometimes it was fun reading this book as I was back at the beginning with Celaena and not with Aelin and all the freaky fairy fucking that happens in the later books. Dorian wasn’t in this book so that was sad because if you don’t know I love him. Chaol can choke.

I honestly don’t have many opinions on this book. It’s a prequel and it’s said that you have to read this before you read Queen of Shadows but honestly I don’t really see that as I read this after reading Empire of Storms and I was fine. Have you guys read this book? If you have what did you think? Did you like it? I hope you guys liked because I thought it was great. I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to look out for more coming your way soon. You should follow my book club here and other social media links. Surprising I really liked this book! | Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas

Greetings earthlings! Today I’m review Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas, the sixth book in the Throne of Glass series!

tower of dawn

-A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

“Don’t you waste one heartbeat now being afraid of a coward who hunts women in the darkness.”

I wasn’t sure if I was going to review this book but I’ve review all the other books in Throne of Glass so I was like why not? I case you’re new here I have reviews for all the Throne of Glass books. I have a review Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, and Empire of Storms so if you would like to read one then click on the names of the books or just go look at the Throne of Glass category on the side. For some reason I want to call this book seven and I did the same thing with Empire of Storms like I was always being like ‘reading book six’ and then realizing that it’s book five and what the hell am i talking about.

This book is basically what Chaol was doing during the events of Empire of Storms because if you don’t remember he was only mentioned in Empire of Storms and it was great! If you don’t know I hate Chaol. Ever since book one I was hated him and in every book since then he has just gotten worse and worse. He is just so winy, and kinda of boring, and he is a real jerk to Aelin in the beginning and I hate him! But so many people love him it turns out which is weird. I like Dorian and my best friend likes Dorian but everyone else like ‘CHAOL OH MY GOD I LOVE HIM’. They talk about Chaol the way I talk about Tom Holland and Harrison Osterfield. I got my mom to read Throne of Glass and I was like ‘what do you think of Dorian?’ and she’s just like ‘Oh he’s nice but I like Chaol’ and I was just in shock. I had low expectations for this book because I didn’t even really want to read it. Even when it was going to be a novella I was like no. But because it’s book six and I love Throne of Glass so I read it and to my surprise I really enjoyed it.

*gasps for effects! I know! Crazy right? But it was a lot of fun, Chaol was enjoyable to read about, I love Yrene, and I loved the story and I just love Sarah J. Maas books!! They are so good! I liked Chaol in this book like I enjoyed reading his point of view. I mean at first I enjoyed Yrene’s point of view but then I soon enjoyed them both. Yrene and Chaol oh my god I really enjoyed reading about them and their story. They went from hating each other to loving each other and they got married! So I guess now that Chaol is married we can finally claim that Chaol and Aelin is a die ship. Yay. I’m glad that he is happy though this book was good! Nesyrn though reading about her and Chaol and that she was still sort of holding on to. When she saw him and Yrene together and run away, I was so sad. I’m sad that this series is ending and that I have to wait like a whole another year for the next book to come out which sucks. This book was really good and I think that if you enjoy Throne of Glass then you should read this book. Did anyone else read this book because I saw anyone haul it but then no one did a review on it. What happen? Was it not worth reviewing?

Nesyrn was so great in this book and I just wanted to protect her. And weirdly a part of me was still hoping that maybe her and Chaol would patch things up but they didn’t and I was okay with that because he and Yrene seem to just go with each other. Nesyrn though when she sees Yrene and Chaol and they are like having a moment and she gets upset and she just leaves with that guy. The note she left for Chaol and it took him like forever to get it, I knew that he was going to get upset and like yell at Yrene because Chaol is a whiny little child and because that’s what normally happens in this types of situation. That happened and I just wanted to like hug everyone and at the same time just talk them in a room and have them talk about everything. I’m excited for what happens next and I’m very happy that I enjoyed this book. Guys just read this book because even if you don’t like Chaol then you’ll stay enjoy this book. It’s not my favorite book in the series that title is currently being held by Heir of Fire and Empire of Storms but this book still is amazing and beautiful written. Sarah was done another great job with writing this book.

And that’s it for my Tower of Dawn book review! I’m so sad that we only have one more book left but I hope it goes off with a bang! And it probably will. Well I hope because if I’m being honest I was disappointed by ACOWAR and I’m hoping that whatever book seven is going to be better and I’m interested into seeing whatever Sarah is going to be doing next. I have no clue whatever posts are coming soon because I’m writing this in the past. I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to look out for more coming your way soon. More like the Storms of my EMOTIONS | Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas review

Greetings earthlings! Today I’m review Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas, the fifth book in the Throne of Glass series!

Rating: -A: Good book with characters that got better and a slow plot line

Aelin had promised herself, months and months ago, that she would not pretend to be anything but what she was. She had crawled through darkness and blood and despair-she had survived.”

We are back with my Throne of Glass reviews. I have reviews for all the other books which you can check out with my Throne of Glass here, Crown of Midnight here, Heir of Fire here, and Queen of Shadows here. This is the fifth book in the series for some I really want to call it the sixth one and after this one we have one more and then the series is over! I don’t know how it will end because so much stuff happened in this book and it was all too much and I’m just like how our we going to able to do everything in the end. So much shit happened in this book like I stand by what the title of this review is called.

A storm is coming. A great storm.”

This in this book everyone is a lot better in this then they were in the last book as I talked about in my review. I mean I still don’t like Aelin that much because this bitch be crazy and she kills everyone *i love her but she drives me insane sometimes. Let’s just say that this book is crazy and I only want to cry. Like 98% of these tears were of sadness and then 2% were of the happiness of that Chaol isn’t in this book. He is mention like a couple times but he isn’t in this whole book and I loved it and I hope it stays that way.

If you haven’t read my other reviews then you know that I think Chaol is a major asshat. He was so rude to Aelin in the first book and I couldn’t get pass that. Dorian on the other hand was sweet and kind and is a prince with dark hair and blue eyes *i love dorian with you didn’t know. In Queen of Shadows, it was like their ship was just dead and I was very happy about that. Dorian and Aelin were my number one ship in this series and they happened for awhile but then she was just like you’re the prince and I’m the champion this can’t work’ and I was just like what why would do that *seriously i need to stop that’s book one stuff if you want that the link is up top.

I really thought that they would end up together but then Rowan came into the picture. I was hoping that it was only for one book and that Dorian would end up being her mate but in this book we figure out that Aelin and Rowan are mates and they began husband and wife and then they have sex on the beach which is a beautiful but strange scene and this is the first R rated book in the series. Their are on a beach and they are going at it and then Aelin is like on fire so the sand is turning into glass. It’s just so weird but it’s beautifully written. How is Rowan during this scene is he like getting burned while he is getting laid? What are they going to do with the glass that is now on the beach? Will it disappear? Are they going to put a sign that says there is the glass that was formed when Prince Rowan and Queen Aelin went down on each other?

His wife. Gods above.
He was over five hundred years old – and this… this girl, young woman, she-devil, whatever she was, had just bluffed and lied her way into a job. A sword-thrower indeed.”

I don’t hate Rowan but I don’t think that it is fair that we had these two characters already to love interest and we didn’t need other one *i need to stay on track and i’m pretty sure that I talked about this in the last review. Dorian and Manon is a thing though which I felt like would happen and truth be told I don’t hate it. At first I was just like no but then I was just like yes. There is a scene with them in the tent and so much sexual tense that I don’t think i knife could cut it. Maybe a chainsaw could do it. I love how they are just like witchling and princeling to each other. I never knew how much I would love this and how much I need it in my life. There has to be something between Aelin and Dorian because after he talked to Manon in the hospital, she is like jealous af. How I feel about Rowan and Aelin is like I think they are cute but if something happen to Manon or Rowan, I would be sad but it would open up a chance for Dorian and Aelin.

At one point in the book, Rowan is like flying across the lands for like three days and it keeps mentioning how tired he is and I’m just like something is going to happen. It felt like something was going to go down and Rowan wasn’t going to be left standing because they just kept talking about how tired and weak he was. That didn’t happen though Rowan was left standing and then they did it on the beach *well not right after. i need to start talking about the plot now. I thought a lot of characters were going to die in this book like I thought Dorian was going to die *but i always think that, Manon I thought was going happen because last time we gave Dorian another girl that didn’t end well, Lysandra because of another scene that happen and something is happening between her and Aelin’s cousin.

Elide and Lorcan let’s talk about them for a second. There are so many moments between them and every one of them was great. Like he is just like your clothes are dirty get them wash and you can sleep naked and her reaction was great. Through their time together, Elide was always putting him in his place and I’m just like yas! She had something against Aelin because her mom die protecting her but she is just like I have to go to talk to Celaena and I’m just like oh honey you didn’t get the message. They are the same person and she didn’t know. Like me when it comes to pop culture, tv, and books, she is late to the party.

Lorcan reached out, grasping her chin and forcing her to look at him. Hopeless, bleak eyes met his. He brushed away a stray tear with his thumb. “I made a promise to protect you. I will not break it, Elide.”

“I will always find you,” he swore to her.

Her throat bobbed.

Lorcan whispered, “I promise.”

Let’s be honest this book should just be called Empire of Ships and Emotions.

So I’m going to talk about the plot now and this review is 900 words long and I have barely even mentioned it. Like we have talked in my last reviews the enemies we are facing are called the Valg who are like demons with superpowers that I kind of want but don’t because they also scare me at the same time. My children also have this thing called the Eye of Elena and it is said to help them destroy the Valg. In this back we get some past on Elena and how everything happen because she fucked up. There are these gods right and they make a make a deal with Elena’s parents to help get rid of the the Valg. Her mom does like the first part and her dad is going to do the second part but Elena tries to be helpful and she goes and mess it.

The gods are just like ‘what the fuck? bitch what did you?’

She is just like ‘I was trying help’

Then the gods are like ‘well your dad was going to fix this problem but now he can’t! so the next person who has Valg blood and fire powers or something can fix this’ *if you couldn’t tell I’m paraphrasing the hell out of this. Guess what? Our great and angsty team of royalty has two people that fit the description and it’s Dorian and Aelin. Chances are someone has to dead or do both of them have to die? Because with Elena’s parents both of them were willing to give up both of their lives to make sure those Valgs go away. Did I miss something? If you know anything please tell me because if I can’t WAIT ANOTHER YEAR!!! If Dorian dies, I will kill everyone. Sarah if you’re reading don’t kill Dorian, you have caused enough pain.

He gripped her hard, forcing her to meet his eyes as he snarled, “I see you. I see every part of you. And I am not afraid.”
I will not be afraid.
A line in the burning brightness.
My name is Aelin Ashryver Galathynius . . .
And I will not be afraid

This book was fantastic and painful and I love every second of it. Around the end of this book, I was sitting in the car while my mom was getting some stuff from the store and I was just so emotional with everything that was happening. I was in my mom’s car alone and crying because everything was just going down. Eventually I finished and I cried even more because the book ends with Rowan going after Aelin. Like the last line is Rowan saying he is going after his wife or something like. The ending was crazy, everyone is fighting with battles, and I’m so scared that everyone will die because in fantasy books EVERYONE ALWAYS DIES!!! *it’s the truth read game of thrones, wheel of time, and even this series is on that list.

I had an emotional time reading this book but I loved everything second of this book. This was amazing and I’m so sad that there is only one before the end of series. I can’t believe I waited so long to read this series and it’s now ending. Same of ACOTAR series, there is only one more book, I think. I really love this series and I hate that they are ending. I really hope that no one dies. Let me rephrase that I hope no one that I care about dies. Let me rephrase I really hope that Dorian doesn’t die. If he does then the world sucks.

Power called to power among the Fae. Perhaps Aelin Galathynius was unlucky the cadre had been drawn to Maeve’s power long before she was born, had chained themselves to her instead. Perhaps they were the unlucky ones, for not holding out for something better.”

Empire of Storms was much better then Queen of Shadows and it may have beaten Heir of Fire because it was awesome! Seriously this is my longest review at 2000 words and I meant very word it because it was the best book ever.  It was awesomely, painfully, and beautifully perfect and everyone should read it. Fights and Attitudes but still awesome | Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas review

Greetings everyone! Today I’m reviewing Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas, the fourth book in the Throne of Glass series.

Rating: +B: Had a weird pace and took me a while to like the characters.

She was fire, and light, and ash, and embers. She was Aelin Fireheart, and she bowed for no one and nothing, save the crown that was hers by blood and survival and triumph.”

I have now read all four books in the Throne of Glass series. I have a review for Throne of Glass here, a review for Crown of Midnight here, and then Heir of Fire here. I thought Throne of Glass was okay, I thought Crown of Midnight was great, and I thought Heir of Fire was the best thing ever! I started this book with such high hopes and I over hyped for myself which is something I do a lot. Don’t get me wrong I still loved this book. It’s just there are somethings about this book that I didn’t love as much as the last book.

I did love the fact that Chaol and Celaena’s ship is dead. Yeah that was great because I hated them together. This book follows Celaena who now goes by Aelin because if you don’t remember in the last book, she decide that she was the long lost princess with the long name and she wouldn’t be afraid *i’m making fun of the end quote from Heir of Fire. She goes and meets up with this guy named Arobynn who is from her assassinating days. He tells her about her cousin who after the events of Heir of Fire is in prison by Dorian’s dad and he will help her find Aedion if they bring down the Valg people.

This book wasn’t my favorite, I should start by saying that. I don’t know if it was because everyone had told me that this book was just crazy and awesome or maybe it’s like how Mockingjay was for me. I was soo into the last book that when I get into the next book I’m just disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, this book didn’t totally suck there were parts in it that I was just screaming and crying during but for most of the parts, I was just like can we get back to the good stuff. For the whole book, Aelin has this whole I’m a like the true heir to be  the fairy queen now so I’m going to have this bitchy attitude for the whole freaking book.

I’ve never wanted to punch character so bad. Well that’s not true. I always wanted to punch Chaol. So if it came down to a choice, I would want to punch Chaol more then I want to punched Aelin. We do met some new characters in this book like Lysandra who is also from Aelin’s assassin pass and they hated each other. She is pretty badass. At first I didn’t like her but then she goes and like goes against that Arobynn and kills him and I’m like YAS bitch because he was shady as hell. Sincerely, he uses this ring thing in one part to control Aelin and it was soo creepy. Lysandra also takes are of this little girl.

One part of this book that break my heart was Dorian. He has been through so much like he went through some shit in the last book but we had no idea what happened next. And then we finally met him after everything in Aedion’s point of view and he was dick and he was still working for his dad. I’m just like my child what happened? Then he get his point of view and he has no idea what the hell is going on. We learn later on that he has been taken over by a demon. They all break into the castle because they are doing that take down the king thing and Aelin tries to kill Dorian!!!

When Chaol finds out, he like what the hell why would you do that? And I’m just like this is the only time I will agree with you. Dorian is my kid! I love him and HE DESERVES TO BE TREATED BETTER!!! I’m mean I know that this is fiction and fictional characters good though things that make me emotional unstable but Dorian is my cinnamon roll and I love him and he should have a better life then Chaol! If you haven’t guessed it the only main problem I had with this book was Aelin because she decide that she wanted to lean with the whole bitch fairy thing.

I was be excited that I was right about Aelin and Rowan happening. I still think it is weird that they have the same aunt. They also have a weird conversations in this book which I don’t really want to talk about. I still don’t really ship them but I know that they are going to be canon. They are going to be each others mates and yes I think that they are cute at some moments but Dorian. He is my favorite and Sarah J. Maas can’t bring in another guy. He didn’t even go here until the book before this. How can you not ship Dorian and Aelin?

They were infinite. They were the beginning and the ending; they were eternity. The king standing before them gaped as the shield of flame died out to reveal Aelin and Dorian, hand in hand, glowing like newborn gods as their magic entwined.”

They should be together!! She almost gave up the Eye of Elena so that she could save him.

One of my favorites scenes is that kick ass fight scene between Manon and Aelin and man was it the best! Oh yeah I talked about hoping that she grew as a character in this book and she sort of did. She takes care of this girl named Elide and helps along with other person who I can’t remember. So it’s really just a giant fight with Aelin and her squad against the witches but really it’s Aelin and Manon. They go up against each other and it’s CRAZY!!!! Manon is about to die at one point but Aelin saves her and so now she owns something to Aelin which I know that we bring back up the next book, Empire of Storms!

This book like I said wasn’t my favorite but I still liked this book. I’m so excited for Empire of Storms but I’m also not because I’ve heard that it is a emotional roller coaster so chances are I will be found crying in a corner. Have you guys read Queen of Shadows? What did you think? I hope you enjoyed this review and are following my book club and other social media links. THE BEST ONE YET | Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas review

Greetings everyone! Today I’m reviewing Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas, the third book in the Throne of Glass series.

Rating: -A: Good book with characters that got better and a slow plot line

She was the heir of ash and fire, and she would bow to no one.”

We get four new characters in this book. First one is Rowan who is sort like a mix between Chaol and Dorian. I mean like at first he is mean like Chaol but unlike Chaol I grew to like Rowan. Rowan is a prince like Dorian which is like the only reason I thought they were alike. He isn’t the nicest guy in the beginning but I grew to love him in the end. His background story about him and his mate nearly killed me. I did find it weird that he and Celaena had the same aunt because I feel that there was something going on between them.

I have done a review for Throne of Glass and a review for Crown of Midnight so check those out. I liked Throne of Glass and I really liked Crown of Midnight and I was really excited to get into this book because everyone kept telling that this was the best one. I got this book right after I finished Throne of Glass along with Crown of Midnight and after that ending in the second book I was ready to jump right in it.

The book starts with Celaena and she is no longer with Dorian or Chaol. She is in this place  called Wendlyn and has been having a lot of ‘fun’ since she was sent to there after the events for the last book. Celaena is looking for these keys that go against the new enemies in this book and that takes her back to the fairies and the life she left behind. If you don’t remember in the last book we discover that she is long last fairy princess Aelin. She mets this guy named Rowan who is a fairy prince and he takes her to fairy queen. In the last book we got like really tiny glimpse into the fairies in this world but in this book we get more of an intro to fairies and their lives and stuff like that.

At first I was like ‘fairies yay’ but after getting a couple pages into this could say that most of the fairies in this book are giant dicks.

Seriously! I didn’t like Rowan in the beginning. I thought we had another Chaol on our hands and I was just like no. I didn’t like Rowan until he explained his back story and then I was just like ‘you poor baby angel, let me protect you!’ Her aunt on the our hand though is head bitch of the fairies which makes sense since she’s the queen. I mean in the beginning of the book she is just like, ‘I’ll give you the answer to the Wyrdkeys if you can use those magical fire powers that you haven’t used in like ten or more years.’ and she just  puts Celaena through all this crap and training with mean Rowan before I liked him.

The second character we met is Aedion who is Celaena’s cousin but he call knows her Aelin which was her name before she changed it. He is pretty cool and he’s like a double agent, working for the king but he also is secretly working Terrasen *aka the fairy people. Aedion is a cool character and I really hope that he doesn’t die because I want to see where his character goes.

The next character we met is Manon *these names are easy for me to type but I can’t say them for the life of god. She is witch and an okay person. I mean she is cool with being a witch and all but she kinds of suck as person. Hopefully she can grow as a character the more the books go on if she doesn’t die. Her grandmother though is much worse and I hope she does die.

Then the fourth person is Sorscha and she is the only person in this book who won’t get to carry on in the books because she dies and it’s heart breaking. She works with Dorian because he is trying to control the magic that we discovered in the last book after he saved Chaol *disappointing frown from Celaena trying to kill him. She helps him try to control this magic and then they fell in love which I called and I was very upset about that because I still ship Dorian and Celaena and I called that it wouldn’t last very long. So Chaol, Dorian,  Aedion, and Sorscha are called into the king’s throne room. Aedion is taken to prison and then the king just executes Sorscha right in front of Dorian! *oh snapple!

Dorian gets really mad and uses his magic in front of his dad and Chaol gets to escape and we don’t know what happened to Dorian. We don’t know if he is safe! But we do know that stupid ass Chaol is safe and well!!!! *if you are wandering why I’m not talking about Chaol it’s because I don’t care about him enough. He saved Fleetfoot though so that’s probably the only good thing he has done.

We sort of have multiply villains in this story. The witches aren’t the nicest, the king sucks but the main villain are these things called the Valgs and they are sort like these demon creatures and they are really really shady and that’s why she was looking for these things that can discover and it’s her and Rowan fighting them off.

There reason that this book is better then the other two is because it’s never slow. There are so many great fight scenes, character scenes, and romantic scenes that unlike the other two I was never bored or waiting for the action to start back up because it was always there! One of my favorite scenes is when Celaena has this show down with her aunt and she is just like ‘i’ll be burn down your city.’ Then her aunt is just like ‘my city is made of stone’ and then Celaena just goes ‘but your people aren’t’ and I’m just like OHHHHH!! *let me just get the quote

You wanted a demonstration,” Celaena said quietly. Sweat trickled down her back, but she gripped the magic with everything she had. “One thought from me, and your city will burn.”

“It is stone,” Maeve snapped.

Celaena smiled. “Your people aren’t.”

This book was fan-freaking-tastic! There was a lot of character development and it just beats those other two books. I can’t wait for Queen of Shadows and discover what is next to come with all of our over characters and hopefully they don’t all die! Have you guys read Heir of Fire? If you have what did you think? Did you think it was the best one? In other news I made a book club on Goodreads so check that out. I hope you enjoy this review and I post once a week every week. Like, Comment, and follow for more rants like these! Also make sure to follow my social media links.

Better then the first one | Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas review

Greetings everyone! Today I’m review Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas the sequel to Throne of Glass!

Rating: -A: Good book with characters that got better and a slow plot line

But he had no idea what sort of darkness lurked inside her, or what sort of monster she was willing to become in order to make things right.”

I posted my Throne of Glass review literally like two weeks ago and you can find that review here. That book took like fifty years to get into but when I got into it, it was a great story! Now here is what I think about book two in this great fantasy series.

The end of the first book was really great expect for the fact that Dorian and Celaena which was stupid *delaena forever! I literally finished book one and went to the store and bought Crown of Midnight and Heir of Fire and then started this book. It still took a long time this book because everyone at the beginning of this book was so sad. All the characters had were depressing thoughts. Celaena was like oh I can’t be anything but an assassin or be with anyone because I’m an assassin.

The Dorian is like oh Celaena why did you break my heart did you even love me at all?

Then Chaol is just Celaena be with me but your in love with my friend who is basically like my brother so we can’t be together at all.

Seriously that’s what the first fifty pages of this book is like.

But then it gets GOOD!!!

Celaena is the king’s champion which means she goes around killing people for the king. But it turns out that she isn’t killing them at all. Celaena has grown as a character which means she a lot nicer. What she does what the people she assigned to kill is that she fakes their deaths before helping them escape. King then gives Celaena a name that is the leader of the rebellion who is looking for the lost princess named Aelin Galathynius *i know why do fantasy characters have such long completed names?

Aelin Galathynius is like a fairy princess who is the heir to Terrasen and I bet you can’t guess who it is. That’s right we find out in the end that Celaena is girl with the weird long name who is a fairy princess. I know it’s very expected but that doesn’t stop this book for being great.

Celaena Sardothien wasn’t in league with Aelin Ashryver Galathynius.

Celaena Sardothien was Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, heir to the throne and rightful Queen of Terranes.

Celaena was Aelin Galathynius, the greatest living threat to Adarlan, the one person who could raise an army capable of standing against the king. Now, she was also the one person who knew the secret source of the king’s power—and who sought a way to destroy it.

And he had just sent her into the arms of her strongest potential allies: to the homeland of her mother, the kingdom of her cousin, and the domain of her aunt, Queen Maeve of the Fae.

Celaena was the lost Queen of Terrasen.

Chaol sank to his knees.”

There is this character whose name I can’t remember and I think he is a door knocker but he was pretty funny.

The one thing that I didn’t like was that Chaol had a much bigger part this book then Dorian did. I case you missed it in my Throne of Glass review, I hate Chaol. He was mean to Celaena and he doesn’t deserve her. In this book he was just whinny and caused one of the death of a character I love because he had to go and get kidnapped.

Celaena should have just killed him. Why did Dorian have to stop her????? Also Dorian discovered that he has magical powers and stops Celaena from killing Chaol because he and Chaol are basically brothers. Also Celaena and Chaol date in this book and I really really hate it. After Nehemia dies and it’s all Chaol’s fault she goes on this rampage and starts killing everyone to discover who killed Nehemia. And Fleetfoot almost got hurt, guys. Fleetfoot was almost killed!

In the end because Chaol thinks that he and Celaena are made for each other that he needs to get her out of the lands so that she can be safe and I’m like she can take care of herself! Then after everything, Chaol finally works his brain for the first time in this series and discovers that she is lost princess.

I really enjoyed this book though. It was action packed and full of adventures. There was so much mystery and I can’t wait for me to drive right into Heir of Fire which I have hear great things about. Again if you haven’t read the Throne of Glass series then push through the first book and read this one because it so much better then the first one. Have you guys read Crowns of Midnight? If you have want did you think of it? I hope you enjoyed this review! I post once a week every week. Like, Comment, and follow for more rants like these! I FINALLY READ IT | Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Hello Earthlings! And after trying for years, today I’m finally reviewing Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas!!!!

Rating:-B: Could has better and was too slow and only got good at the end

Sometimes, the wicked will tell us things just to confuse us–to haunt our thoughts long after we’ve faced them.”

Throne of Glass is about a girl named, Celaena *it’s fantasy the names are always hard, who is an assassin and she is brought to the castle by the prince named Dorian *he’s the best to and a guard named Chaol *who is a stupid jerk and I hate him so much compete in a competition to be the King’s Champaign. People start dying and another stuff happens.

Chances are you have heard of this book because most everyone who has a blog has talked about this series. Literally I’m not kidding. This book was almost like Divergent for me. Everyone talked about Divergent and said it was greatest thing ever and I read Divergent and now I hate Divergent.

I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long. Let me rephrase that I’ve been trying to read this book for a long time. I got this book like two years ago and I started it then I got a hundred pages into before giving up on it because for a book about a female assassin in a competition to be the king’s assassin it was very boring. Then I tried reading it again last year and I still couldn’t get passed those first hundreds pages the only character I liked was Dorian.

This year I decide though I was going to say that I finished this and whether I liked it or not. And I got passed those pages and now we’re here. You have to get to the half way point before anything happens in this book. Because it’s mainly complaining, complaining, training, training, weird love triangle that was add in for a reason, then stuff starts happening and people begin to die.

This book was pretty good. There is a lot of mystery elements to it and some action and I think the idea of how Sarah J. Maas came up with it. The characters took a while for me to like because they were in desperate need of character development. My favorite character is the wonderful prince Dorian with his blue eyes and black *all great male characters have black hair and blue it’s just facts and he loves books. My least favorite character is Chaol and don’t think I that I only hate him because I love Dorian I hate him because he treated Celaena badly.

Seriously every time they were in the same room, it was like verbal abuse. He never had anything nice to say about her. It’s not like the normal mean but secretly in love it’s was like secretly wishing that person was die *unless that’s like a new thing. One of my other favorite characters though is her friend, Nehemia. They’ve got a good friendship and in this book and I like her. Even though at one point I thought she was the one killing everyone but she wasn’t so it’s great.

There is this one girl named Kaltain who is going to be married to this Duke is like super in love with Dorian like in the end she tried to kill Celaena but Celaena lives because she is badass and healers helped out.

My name is Celaena Sardothien. But it makes no difference if my name’s Celaena or Lillian or Bitch, because I’d still beat you, no matter what you call me.”

Celaena really is a great character it took awhile but I grow to love her as a character. She became a great female lead and DORIAN AND CELAENA FOREVER! I ship them so hard like when they kissed it was the best. The king in this story is a complete jerk and I hate him. There is this plot with a queen who turns out to be a ghost which is a cool story line because she is trying to help out Celaena win the competition. It’s really cool!

This book is great and even though it took while for me to get into but everyone should give this book a try because honestly it’s worth. Have you guys read this book? What did you think of it? Let my know what you thought. I hope you enjoy this rant! I post once a week every week. Like, Comment, and follow for more rants like these! Also make sure to follow my social media links.
