YOU HAVE TO WATCH GRAVITY FALLS!

Greetings Earthling! Today I’m reviewing Gravity Falls!

f1a80b13549dcc160b4a7d0c82948341e503d9c5

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

I watched this show in 2017 and I think that I have watched it about five times since then and each time I cry and I laugh and I have never loved a show as much. It has honestly has become one of my favorite shows of all time. It’s just soooo good and wonderful. I love this show so much. If you don’t know what this show was about then I’m going to tell you right now and then you are going to and watch it because it is so good. This show follows Dipper and Mabel Pines who are twins that are sent to a town called Gravity Falls for the summer to live with their Great Uncle Stan. They soon discover that the town of Gravity Falls is filled with mystery and unknown creatures and they find a journal that has some answers but also adds more questions.

The first time I ever watched an episode of this show was some time around like 2013 or 2014 and I was at the someplace and they had an episode playing on the TV. I watched it and I had a fun time watching it but unfortunately I had stopped watching Disney Channel at that time so I wasn’t able to start watching. Flash forward a couple years later, the show ended and I watched Nostalgia Critic and he was talking about this show and I thought maybe I should give it a try. So in fall of 2017 I needed something to watch and I watched this show over the weekend and I cried and laugh so much. Then I rewatched it and cried again and then I watched it with my sister and we both cried. I’ve watched this show so many times and I love it. It has honestly become one of my all time favorite shows.

I love the characters and the story. I wish it had more episodes but honestly I remember how satisfying the ending is and I don’t care that there are only two seasons because they are so wonderful. If you haven’t watched this show then I highly recommend it because it will make you laugh and cry. It is so beautiful and wonderful. That’s it for my non spoiler section. This show is on Hulu and it is good! WATCH IT!

WARNING SPOILERS

SO during my rewatch I’ve spotted so many different things that lead up to the answers and the mysteries that come later on. Like how Bill appears at the end of the opening credits. In the episode where Dipper and Mabel switch bodies, Stan finds a pair of glasses  and you seeing him staring at them with a sad look on his face and it’s Ford’s glasses! It’s just so sad! The plot twist in season two that Stan had a twin brother and you see what happen to them and I just sob because it was so sad. How can this show go from making me laugh to making me cry so fast!

I honestly love season two but I can’t watch it without crying. Usually when I watch something I cry the first two times but then I stop after that but with Gravity Falls I’ve watched it like five times and I cry every time! It’s just so good and I love these characters so much. The last four episodes of season two always break me. I happy cry every time I watch the ending because I want more episodes but I’m so satisfied with how it ended that I don’t want more. It don’t want to ruin it. It’s just so perfect!

The characters will always be some of my favorites. They start off like these stereotypes of characters we have seen before but the more you watch the more you learn about them and you see them go through a journey and how much they care about other. I love the relationship between Mabel and Dipper because they just have one of the best sibling relationships I’ve seen on TV. The scenes where they fight are always the hardest for me because they are just so close and they work so well together. In season two after we met Ford I was so scared that Mabel and Dipper were going to be like Ford and Stan and the finale would be some Gilmore Girls full circle shit where they get into a fight and don’t speak for years. I’m so glad that the ending is a happy one.

I love this show and the characters and the story and I will watch forever! Have you guys watched this show? What did you think of it? Did you like or did you hate it? Let me know! Why I don’t like romance books…. | Rant

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m going a post which I haven’t done in a while and I thought I would do it.

Romance books is a genre that is popular and when you are a girl it is mainly the genre you are expected to like. Most books that are published are romance books and everyone loves them expect for me. I hate romance books. Now to add onto the statement because I’m not saying I hate books with romantic storylines, I am saying that I don’t like romance books where romance is the main storyline. They can be fun trashy books that I read but I don’t really love them as much as I love other books. I should probably say this now before I go on I’m not bashing anyone for liking romance books or anyone who writes romance or is in anyway a part of romance books. This is just my opinion. I will also be talking about topics such as abuse and unhealthy relationships so there is a warning for that as I feel like that should be discussed. I’ve thought about making this post for a while as I’ve felt this way for a while now but I decided to do it after recently reading a romance book that anger me every much. I’m also doing this because I want to discuss things that are in romance books now a days that I feel like people are overlooking or isn’t being said loud enough and should be changed.

With that said let’s get started.

Reason #1: The books tend to lack plot

If you follow me on goodreads which you can here then you should now that ever I read romance books a lot of the time I complain about them never having a plot. A lot of the time that is the case. Sorry but for me whether or not people get together isn’t really a plot for me. I mean it can be an interesting plot point if something else is the main focus such as the world is being taken over or if you find out you’re a part of a race called Shadowhunters or it’s a Dystopian society or one of the characters is dealing with a mental health problems or other real world problems. With romance books where the only thing to continue the story is the couple’s relationship isn’t really a plot. In books like the After series where the whole point of all the books is the relationship of two characters who continually break up and get back together. Some people may like this but I don’t. You can have something going on in the story other then whether or not two people are getting together.

Reason #2: Girls hating on Girls

This happens a lot in romance books, in some books it’s a little better as times have changed but I still come across this books. I wouldn’t call myself the best person ever and in past moments I have judged women on somethings and when I look back on my life I regret that because it is something I don’t stand by anymore and I don’t like it when I find this in book. Yes people can get jealous sometimes but just because a girl is interested in a guy that you like or because they are dating someone doesn’t mean that you have a right to judge them. They are allowed to be with whoever they want to be or do whatever they want to do and you have to be okay with that and not judge them. An example of this is in Anna and the French Kiss where Anna judges every girl that flirts with St. Clair and hates his girlfriend even though she has never met her nor has his girlfriend done anything bad to her. If you have your main girl hating someone have it be not be for slut shaming. Or why don’t we not have girls hate on each other? Female friendships are amazing so let’s just have more of those!

Reason #3: Boys being controlling over girls

Again jealousy is a thing but telling your girlfriend that she cannot hang out with other guys or do things in her life. She is her own goddamn person! Yes we want to protect the people we love but controlling their lives so that they are only focusing on you isn’t okay and that’s really abusive. Judging them for their decision is also not okay. Yes in a relationship you need to be honest but you also have to be there for them. So instead of telling them how they shouldn’t have done that and been stupid, how about you comfort them and support them. That’s the right thing to do! In Fifty Shades of Grey, Christian *does a lot of terrible things tells Ana what to do and gets mad it her when she doesn’t listen, forbids her from hanging out with her friends. In After We Collided, Hardin judges Tessa for kissing another guy even though they weren’t together and she wanted to move on from their relationship. He also makes her feel bad when she goes to hang out with Zed and excuses her cheating. If you are so insecure about your relationship that you have control your girlfriend then you probably don’t deserve her.

Reason #4: Unhealthy relationships

A lot of the times in romance books the relationship are unhealthy. The relationships are unhealthy as they lack trust, one of them is controlling and jealous, they break up and get back together. A lot of time they fall in love so quickly which is so annoying. Not really can the relationships with the main couple be unhealthy the characters can also have unhealthy relationships with their friends. They get mad at their friends when their friends get mad at them for real issues and their friends end up say sorry when the main character should be the one saying sorry. If it is the case that the best friend follows the stereotypical where she dates more then the main character usually slut shames that friend or makes fun of them for their choices. In the end the characters usually give each other and everything is happy even though it should have been brought into question as if they should have forgiven each other as they all did and said some bad things.

That’s it for this weird rant. I’m sorry if I offend you in any way. This is just my opinion and this was in no way a personal attack on you. It is just how I feel I thought it would be an interesting post. I hope you enjoyed this post and look out for more coming soon! What are some romance books you guys like? Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir Review | Season 2 EP 4: Riposte

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing the fourth episode of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir season two!

Riposte_-_Ending_Card

It’s been a couple months since my last Miraculous post and I talked about how season two release date had been announced. I was so excited and I watched all of them and I wanted more. There were only 12 episodes instead of 13 like I thought there were going to be but I still had the best time watching it. I haven’t watched it as many times as I’ve watched season one and that’s mainly because with season one I love watching the story grow and then with season two right now I only have half an arc. Once I get a whole arc I’ll watch it over and over again while I wait for season three. Back to what I was talking so even though they said the episode order was going to be the same it wasn’t. So this aired as episode five  but it is on Netflix as episode four. I will going on the Netflix though just because it’s the order I watched the rest of the episodes in.

Also cause I haven’t said this yet I have other posts because I love this show and I will probably talk about forever. I did two review for the first season which you can read here and here. I did a theory post here and I did a review for the first episode of season two here, the second episode here, and the third episode here. I will have a complete review for the first half of season two soon. I thought that I would be posted before this but it is and I’m too lazy to change the post schedule. I will have an episode review for each episode that is out right now and they will be posted on the last Friday of every month so look out for those.

Riposte is a very good episode. It is more focused on Adrien and Ladybug because something that I’ve noticed is that some episodes seem to focus on one of ships from the love square. I had a lot of fun with this episode. I honestly I loved the villain for this episode. I just feel like she kicked ass. The sweet moments between the two are so good and fun to watch. There isn’t a lot of plot to this episode like to add to the story but I think that introducing this character could lead to some drama that may happen later and I will talk about that more later. I would give this episode an +A. That’s it for my nonspoilery section! If you haven’t watched this episode yet then leave and then come back. BYE!

WARNING SPOILERS

So this episode starts with Marinette auditioning for the fencing because Adrien is on the fencing team and she thinks that it’s a good way for her and Adrien to get along. There are some sweet moments between Adrien and Marinette as he helps her learn about fencing. I have to say one of my favorite things about the episodes we have seen so far is seeing Marinette grow and be able to talk to Adrien with being a complete idiot. I mean she still has a long way to go but she is getting better and it’s so much fun to watch. So they are in the middle of practice when a girl named Kagami shows up and she fights Adrien. Once the fight is over Marinette is asked to find out who won because she was the only one watching and she guess that it was Adrien. Kagami gets upset and then you know what happens when someone in this city gets upset, she becomes Riposte and wants to fight Adrien.

Let’s talk about Kagami for a second. Now I will probably make a lot of people mad but I don’t see the interest. She is a badass and I did like her in this episode but when this episode aired everyone loved her on a different level. Everyone loved her on the level that they love Marinette and Adrien and I didn’t feel the same.  I’ve only seen her in one episode and she doesn’t appear for the rest of the season so I don’t know how I’m able to love her on the same level. Look she is a great character and I would love to see more of her but until we do I can’t say that I love her. I just want to know more and I don’t what her to just be added to be trouble for the love triangle. I feel like we should add her to be like a really cool side character or be a fun friend for Marinette to have. I don’t want her and Marinette to be enemies because I hate when they take two really cool female characters and make them enemies because of a boy! IT SUCKS!

Also is Adrien suppose to believe that Kagami is Ladybug? If that’s the case then we are just making Adrien dumb because there is no way that he believes that. Now they have the same color but other then that I don’t see it. She kind of has a bob haircut going and Ladybug’s hair is always in pigtails. Her eyes are brown and not blue and I know Adrien knows this because of that poem in Dark Cupid where he says that she has bluebell eyes. There is a moment where he looks at her ring and I got the feeling he thought that was her a miraculous but like he knows that Ladybug Miraculous are earrings what was the point! I just think it was stupid and like they added Kagami’s character to add drama and I hate that. I saw a lot of hate on Marinette for this episode which I didn’t like because I didn’t think she deserved it. It was mainly because everyone thought that she was the reason Kagami was akamaized. I honestly don’t really agree with that because she didn’t know what she was doing and she said that she wasn’t sure Adrien won. Maybe she had a part in her getting akamized but I don’t think that it was all her fault.

A thing that we discover in this episode is that if you get hurt in civilian form then the injury will still be around once you change into your superhero uniform as Adrien gets hurt and then when he changes to Chat Noir the injury is still there. I was kind of hoping that this would somehow lead to Marinette thinking something about and get to thinking maybe something is happen but she didn’t and I’m going to have to wait for forever for a reveal. I just need one. I needed one before but I’m done with this teasing shit they keep doing to me. It’s not fair.

I think that’s it for my review for this episode. IF you would like for me to review the next ones then let me know. Also I have not seen the rest of season two and please don’t leave spoilers in the comments or on my social media thank you very much. I will be watching the rest of season two when it airs and you should to. Have you guys seen season two yet? If you have what did you think? Sherlock Season One Review!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing Season One of Sherlock!

sherlock_series_tv_poster_by_marrakchi-d5bcpfa

So ever since I’ve read the Charlotte Holmes series I’ve been in this kick lately to read or watch a lot of Sherlock Holmes. After I read Sherlock Holmes: Complete Novels and Stories Volume One, I decided to rewatch Sherlock. Sherlock used to be on my all time favorite shows but I can’t decided if I still do because I have very mixed feelings on the last season. So I will be rewatching the show and reviewing each of the seasons! Season one is great season as I think it does a good job setting everything up and it’s soo good! I love how with in episode one and two there are the mysteries and they come together so beautifully and at the end of each episode they add onto this other threat that makes the third episode so wonderful and satisfying.

If I had to give the whole season a rating all together then it would probably be an -A. Even though I do fine this show get and wonderful, I don’t love episode two and it can be kind of slow at some points. I will be getting more spoilery so if you haven’t watched season one then you have to leave. Go watch and then come back. There are three episodes and they are on Netflix. If you have watched this yet, I highly recommend it. Bye Non spoiler people!

WARNING SPOILERS!

Let’s start with the first episode the Study in Pink which is loosely based off the first Sherlock Holmes book the Study in Scarlet. I’ve seen this episode a lot mainly because when I started watching this show, I watched without my family, then with my mom, and then with the rest of my family and then a couple more times after that. So weirdly I had a hard time getting through this episode in my rewatch because I’ve seen it so many times. Never the less it is still a good episode. It can be kinda of slow at some points but like I have said before with Sherlock retellings they normally start off slow because they have to set everything. I’m glad that this episode does that because it does it so wonderfully. You met John and you see all this stuff about him and then you meet Sherlock and as the episodes go on you feel like you really know these characters.

If you don’t know there was a sixty minute unaired pilot but then BBC requested that they make it 90 minutes. I just found that out recently so if you didn’t know that then fun fact for you. While watching this episode I sort of had a debate with myself about whether this episode would have worked better as sixty minutes. I think it work though as a 90 minute thing. I just allowed more things to be introduced and more time for us to get into the story. I do really the love the mystery of this episode. I don’t know it’s just so interesting. I love the scene where Sherlock is with the cab driver and it’s just so tense and then when John shot him I was like ‘YES’ because I thought something bad was going to happen even though I was only on episode one.

I do love the acting in this show. Both Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are great in this show. Everyone knows that so I’m basically repeating what people have already said but I mean it. They are so great as these characters. They always do a wonderful job. The Study in Pink was a great episode even though it did have some slow moments. I think that I’m going to give then The Study in Pink a -A.

Now onto the Blind Banker which has always been one of my least favorite episodes simply because for the longest time I had no clue what the hell was happening in this episode. Over my last two rewatches of this episodes I’ve exactly come to like this episode more as I’ve started paying attention and I figured everything out. The Blind Banker is an original idea episode meaning it wasn’t based off a Sherlock Holmes book. Honestly during this rewatch I really liked this episode more then I previously had. It’s still not my favorite episode but I did enjoy it more. I really like how they set so many things up and then they all come to together. It’s just so good! One thing I didn’t like about this episode was the police guy whose name I don’t remember. He was just so annoying! Like shit was going down and he was just like ‘Oh I don’t like Sherlock so I’m not going to do anything’ and I was like ‘Dude you are the worst cop ever’.

I mean Sherlock and John also kind of got on my nerves as like Sherlock just keeps leaving and then John gets very angry and I was like ‘Guys come on’. I think my favorite thing about this episode was the ending. We get another reference to someone master minding everything. It’s just so good. All we know is that someone called M is doing this and they kill the lady behind everything. So much happens and it gets us started for the next episode which I’ll talk about in second. Another reason this episode is good because  it isn’t as slow as the first episode. We know who the characters so there less to set up and we can just get started and learn the mystery.

Story wise this episode is good. I feel like I have been too hard on this episode in the past because honestly even though there are things that bother me a bit I do enjoy it. It still isn’t my first episode as I’m not that into the mystery of this episode. I don’t know just with the first episode they mystery was so interesting and I was really into it. With this one when it took while for me to get into it. I did enjoy the Blind Banker, it’s not my favorite but I enjoy it. I’m giving the Blind Banker an +B.

The next episode is The Great Game and it is my favorite episode in season one. Where the villain that has been lurking in the shadows finally comes into play and it is great and dark and so good!!!!! SO in this episode when see the smiley face on the wall which has now become like an icon and we get Sherlock being bored. If you have been confused whenever those things have been referenced well now you know. Baker Street blows up everything is okay but they find a pink phone which starts leading the to mysteries and if they don’t solve that mystery then a person will die. Moriarty is my villain of Sherlock and he is just so amazing and the fact is you don’t even know him before he is introduced. You don’t even know his name until the last couple minutes of the episode.

The whole episode is just Sherlock fighting against this guy who we don’t even know which is honestly the thrill of this episode. You don’t know who the villain is but you know what he can do so it is enough for you to fear him. This opens a lot up for who this guy and the first time I watched this episode and Sherlock was about to have to show down and John comes out. For a second I thought it was John but then he takes off the coat and he is wearing a bomb and AHHH! This episode is just so intense and its great! I also think that this episode is good because Moriarty just appears and we don’t think anything about him so when he finally reveals himself, it’s just so shocking!

The cliffhanger was so great because you think that everything is going to fine and then Moriarty just comes back and it’s like fuck. And then Sherlock points the gun at the bomb and the screen goes black. I watched this for the first time in 2011 so I didn’t wait as long as everyone else did but still I was shook and I was so scared for season two. I really enjoyed this episode because there are so many different elements to it and the climax is intense and epic and honestly this is way the show is great. I’m going to give this episode an +because it just so good.

I love this season. I love this show and I can’t wait to rewatch the rest of it because it’s just so great! It is so wonderful. I love how everything is done and it’s so great. Have you guys watched this show? What did you think of it? Did you like or did you hate it? Let me know! I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to look out for more coming your way. AAAHHHHHH!!!! | Avengers: Infinity War review

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing Infinity War!

1522147258_avengers-infinity-war

WARNING SPOILERS

BECAUSE I’M NOT HOLDING BACK

I’ve been waiting for the movie for a long time. I was so worried about it and excited to see and I made a whole post about it which you can read here. I wanted to see this the day it came out but I went out of town and then my family wanted to see it all together so we had to wait but I finally saw it and I am so emotional and it was so good! I loved it. It was so good. I have a lot of opinions on it so again if you have not seen you have to leave. If you are like me, you have been spending all your time avoiding spoilers. It was so hard! It was easy at first but then a week past and then suddenly everyone was talking about it without tagging spoilers and it got so hard that I had to get off Tumblr because no where was safe.

So let’s get talking about this movie because I have so many thoughts and no theories! This movie had my shook from the opening scene. I knew that we would probably begin with Thor and we did. Thanos is attacking the ship that was at the end of Ragnarok and Thor is getting beaten up because Thanos wants the tesseract and then Loki as the tesseract and he tries to attack Thanos and all I could think was don’t do this you idiot! Then he did and he died! I thought that he might die but I didn’t think he would die three minutes into the film! I have no clue if Loki is really dead. I don’t want him to be dead because I love him so much and he is just so great! I can’t believe he died in the first fucking minutes!

Everyone was so great in this film and a person that I surprisingly really enjoyed was Doctor Strange. I don’t know why I just really enjoyed him in this film. He was so great and I loved his interactions with Tony. There were so many good jokes and moments and I’d loved it! I also really enjoyed Tony in this movie because in Ultron and Civil War they sort of made him out as a bad guy but this film we got to see him as a good guy again and I loved it! The chemistry between all the characters was amazing and wonderful. I was worried about how they would deal with all of them but I really enjoyed.

Weirdly I didn’t enjoy the Earth scenes that much which I wasn’t expecting. I thought that I would enjoy them with me always loving Cap, Sam, Bucky, and Scarlet Widow together but this time around I don’t know them seemed to just be there and they weren’t really in that story much. That’s weird because in the trailers it seemed as if they were in most of the film but they weren’t really. I loved Cap’s entrance with the training going by and then there he is looking all cool in the shadows. I just love Cap so much. He is always my favorite. A surprise to me was that I really enjoyed Scarlet Witch and Vision. I’ve never really enjoyed them but for some reason I really liked them. I just connected with them and I loved their scenes.

The Guardians in this film were great as normal. I loved when they met Thor and Peter was trying to one up him and it was so funny. Everyone was just so great. When Gamora died, I was just so sad. Before she died, she was giving that big speech about how he loved nothing and I was like ‘Shut up! He is going to kill you!’ and then she died. I loved seeing more of her relationship with Thanos. It was just so interesting to watch and seeing it play out was just so great. You’ve never seen anything about Thanos and what it was like for her and Nebula you have only heard stuff about it and watching it was so interesting. So let’s talk about the ending because what else is there. So the ending has been talked about a lot since this movie can out and I was so scared to see it.

So Thanos is attacking everything and Strange gives him the Time Stone and I was convinced that it was a trick but it wasn’t. He gives him the stone and I was like ‘What the hell man?’ Then he gets the stone from Vision and Thor wounds him and I’m thinking yeah we’re gonna win but then he is still kicking and he snaps his fingers and goes to some hut! Then Bucky disappears and I fucking lost it. I was crying so hard. Then for a second I thought that Okoye was gonna disappear and then it was T’Challa and I was gone! Then Groot disappears and it was released that he said ‘Dad’ and Omg! Then the Guardians disappeared which was not fair and then Strange disappears but he says that it was the only way which what the fuck does that mean. Then Peter disappears and he is just like I don’t want to go and it reminded me of when David Tennett regenerated into 11 and he said that and I was just crying so hard. Tears were going down my neck! It was just so emotional! My sister was like ‘Calm down it’s okay!’ but it wasn’t okay.

And then movie just fucking ends! With our core four still living but half the universe is gone! And what the hell is gonna what happen next? Strange said there was one outcome  were they one and then he fucking gave Thanos the Time stone and before he dies he tells Tony that it was the only way. Is this a plan? It’s not a great plan man. Still pulling that Sherlock Holmes shit and not telling anyone your plan. Another thing that is kind of stupid but I was kind of disappointed that they didn’t make a Sherlock joke because both Benedict Cumberpatch and Robert Downy Jr. have both played Sherlock and I thought it would have been funny. Back to the main point, I don’t know what they are going to next. I know that people are going to live because they have sequels coming out but how the hell are they going to bring them back? So the thing that I’ve thought the most is that they are going to use the time stone to fix things but that would basically make this movie worthless. Time travel is a tricky thing to have in your plot and if you use it to fill your plot hole that’s just not fair.

I was convinced that Iron Man and Cap were gonna make up and then they were gonna die but that didn’t happen so that will probably in the next film. Will they like sacrifice themselves to save the lives of everyone else? A theory that I saw was that their souls are in the soul stone and that’s why when Thanos used it we see baby Gamora because her soul is there. That probably isn’t true but in the comics someone was in the soul stone so it could be a possibility. Honestly Infinity War was a great movie and I think I’m going to give it an -A. I would love to an +A but unfortunately I didn’t like the ending. I’ve never been a fan of open endings and I wasn’t not a fan of this one. I hope that there was a plan for this ending and it wasn’t just for shock value and that they don’t completely erase it. This film is funny and heartbreaking and a step up from Ultron.

That was my thoughts on Infinity War. I’m so ready for Avengers 4 because I need answers and I can’t wait to see Captain Marvel rock it. I’m ready for my girl! If you have seen it though then what did you think? Did you love it? Did you hate it? You should follow my book club here and other social media links. The Last Summer of the Garrett Girls by Jessica Spotswood review!

-B: Could has better and was too slow and only got good at the end

I got this book from Netgalley and this book comes out on June 5, 2018. This book follows four sisters who are trying to get through the summer and it has been described as Gilmore Girls meets Little Woman. I wasn’t excited to read this but I was interested in reading because it sounded cute and I only have sisters so whenever I watch or read something about siblings I just love it so I decided to request this book. I honestly won’t say that I loved this book but that I loved some of the moments in this book.

I really enjoyed the first part of this book but then the second part of this book wasn’t great. I thought that there would be more sister bonding and it was more like sisters and their love interests. They did have some good moments but I felt like they were more towards the end. I think that Des was my favorite. I don’t know I felt like with her story I was more present in that one. I did enjoy the other girls but I don’t know I just couldn’t connect with them that much. This book is like a Sarah Dessen book and I don’t know I can’t ever connect to the story with her books. They are written the same way and I couldn’t really connect with the characters. I felt like I barely knew them and their grandmother which sucked because I really wanted to.

I did like how diverse the story is. One of the love interests was bisexual and one of the girls is into other girls. I wish that thing with Paige had worked better because I liked her and her relationship with Des. I didn’t enjoy Bea’s storyline that much. I don’t know she reminded me of Rory with Jess and I just couldn’t get into. I do like the scene at the end where the girls all talk to the other and it was a really nice scene. This is a great summer read and it has some good messages in it. If you like Sarah Dessen and Gilmore Girls then I recommend that you read it.

Have you guys read this book? If you have what did you think? Did you like it? I hope you guys liked because I thought it was great. The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas review!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing the Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas!

the-assassins-blade

+B: Had a weird pace and took me a while to like the characters.

“If you can learn to endure pain, you can survive anything. Some people learn to embrace it- to love it. Some endure it through drowning it in sorrow, or by making themselves forget. Others turn it into anger.”

Remember how I said I was going to do this review in like 2016 while it’s 2018 and I’m now writing this review. I don’t why I haven’t written it before I think it’s because a fine book that I don’t have a lot of opinions and a whole book that is focused a character that I don’t like as much as used isn’t as interesting. Also because of reason that have been pointed out to me that this series kills off POC characters and non straighter characters or puts them in stereotypes. I still like this series but I don’t think my love will be on the same level that it was on before. I case you’re new here I have reviews for all the Throne of Glass books. I have a review Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, and Empire of Storms, Tower of Dawn so if you would like to read one then click on the names of the books or just go look at the Throne of Glass category on the side. I reread this book because Aisha from A Chapter of Aisha is hosting a read along and I’m a part of it and for the month of March this was what we were reading.

Now this book isn’t my favorite in fact that was the reason it took me so long to read it hell just to review it. I just don’t have a lot of thoughts on it. I should have done it when I still liked this series. I mean I still like it but not as much. Weirdly sometimes it was fun reading this book as I was back at the beginning with Celaena and not with Aelin and all the freaky fairy fucking that happens in the later books. Dorian wasn’t in this book so that was sad because if you don’t know I love him. Chaol can choke.

I honestly don’t have many opinions on this book. It’s a prequel and it’s said that you have to read this before you read Queen of Shadows but honestly I don’t really see that as I read this after reading Empire of Storms and I was fine. Have you guys read this book? If you have what did you think? Did you like it? I hope you guys liked because I thought it was great. The Elites of Eden by Joey Graceffa review!

Greetings Everyone! Today I’m reviewing the Elites of Eden by Joey Graceffa!

WARNING SPOILERS

DHysuD9UwAAxYuY.jpg

F: Wasn’t a good read and a was a waste of time. Characters were dulled and annoying and so was the plot line.

“There’s always a choice. Sometimes the choice means you suffer so someone else doesn’t have to. Sometimes it means you give your life so someone else live. But you can always choose to do the right thing, even if it’s also the hard thing.”

The book that was wanted to be a series in less then 300 pages has a sequel that is less then 300 pages. The Elites of Eden is the sequel to Children of Eden which I did not like and it even made my least favorites of 2017 list. If you want to know my thoughts on the first book without reading that review basically the Children of Eden wants to be the Hunger Games and Catching Fire in less then 300 pages. The book is too small and wants to do so much and it’s disappointing because I so wanted to like. I didn’t know it was getting a sequel until Tyler Oakley posted something on his instagram story and I wasn’t going to read unless it came available at the library because I’m not spending money on this book. I didn’t even remember how the book ended!

I probably remember things that happened in this book. I’m only going to be talking the things that I do remember and have strong opinions on those things. SO this book starts with this girl who is named Yarrow and I was just like who is this and we follow her through the first part of this book. I was not interested in reading about this character because she is so cliche and boring as fuck. I cannot tell you. This is to show the different lives that some people lead in this world which can be interesting but nothing happens! If you are going to give me a point of view you have to give me something to read other then me reading a 100 pages about a girl going through nothing! Some while I’m reading this book Lark appears and Lark is the female love interest in the first book and she and Yarrow start talking and they kiss and start a relationship and I’m sitting reading this wondering what the hell is happening! Did she and Rowan break up? And I just forget about it?

We continue on and then my favorite and only favorite part of the book comes and we discover that Rowan was brain washed and become Yarrow. Now I don’t remember a lot of this book because of how boring this book so I can’t explain how this happened but I thought that this was so interesting and creative that I loved it. It’s so cool because if you read the summary for you’ll see that it gives a summary for both characters and that makes you think it will switch point of views but it turns out the first part of the summary is the first part of the book and the second part of the summary is the second part of the book and I love how it just tricks you. After that twist happened I was excited because I was like the story could get better from here but it didn’t! Oh it just got worse. The first book wants to be the Hunger Games and Catching Fire in less then 300 pages and this book wants to be Catching Fire and Mocking Jay in less then 300 pages. It is more like Mockingjay just so much more boring.

We reunite with that other guy who was a love interested but I don’t care about him because he is an ass. We have like this weird Julian and Emma moment were she discovers that he has been painting her and it was so awkward. Because she just walks in and notices it and then he walks in and is just like hey there. Rowan doesn’t at all seem freaked out by this which why isn’t she? I mean a guy she barely know has been painting her at least with Julian was they had been friends for years. Why! This love triangle is one of the things I liked about this book as it is a love triangle that as one love interest is a male and the other is female. I’ve loved that but this book ruins. I never thought that Joey Graceffa would be the person to lean onto the ‘Bury Your Gays’ Trope but he did and I’m upset with this. So Lark the female love interest is killed off in this book and I was so upset by this. We have something different and you just did that! Seriously! Now I have no clue if she is staying die or is still alive or was brought back to life but it was still a dick move and I’m so upset by this.

Also her brother is so useless and terrible and I hate Ash so much! He annoys me so much! Weirdly he keeps getting in terrible and I’m just like seriously! The ending of this book was trying to do that Catching Fire thing with something being revealed and then the book ends. The ending of this book is shit happens that I can’t remember and suddenly Rowan finds herself meeting her mother who was shot in the last book and I’m just what! Not only does this make no sense it completely messes things up and kind of ruins the whole point of this series because wasn’t she doing this for her mother? I hate this book and I wish it was only one book.

The Elites of Eden isn’t a great book. This whole trilogy right now isn’t great. I want to love but it keeps breaking my heart and proving me. I don’t know if I’ll read the next book. I might and I probably won’t pay for it so I’ll check it out at the library when it becomes available. A part of me hopes that the third book will be good but I know I will be disappointed again. Have you guys read this book? If you have what did you think? Did you like it? I hope you guys liked because I thought it was great. YOU HAVE TO WATCH STAR VS THE FORCES OF EVIL!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m talking about Star vs. the Forces of Evil!

r_starvstheforcesofevil_hero_359432e3

*i couldn’t find a trailer so here is the opening

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

I don’t know why I’m making this review. I watched Star in Fall of 2017 and I thought about doing a review but I was so stressed around that time that I didn’t do it. But now I’m still a little stressed but less stressed then normal and I’ve been rewatching a couple episodes and I’ve been looking at the summary for episodes of season three and I’m really emotional so we are going to talk about it. I have only have seen season two so I will mainly be talking about those two seasons. I might talk about season three from my nerves to want might happened and from what I’ve heard has happened and how I’m very emotional. I started watching Star because I had just finished Gravity Falls and I wanted something like that because I needed a new show to watch and I remember people had been talking about this show on Tumblr so I decided to start watching and just like Gravity Falls I didn’t expect to love this show as much as I did nor did I expect to make me cry.

Man kid shows are a lot more intense then the shows I watched when I was little. Seriously! So if you don’t know Star Vs the Forces of Evil is a show about a Princess named Star who when she is fourteen is gifted a magical wand that is passed down to the heir of the Thrones and they are always women! Such is so great! It’s like Buffy but with more magic wands and it’s a family thing. After she sets some things on fire, her parents send her to Earth where she can continuing her training cause there is no magic on Earth. On Earth she mets Marco Diaz who she moves in with him and his family and Marco helps her with Earth things while Star gives him what he wanted which was some adventure in his life and together they fight monsters that come after Star so that they can steal her magical wand.

Honestly if you like anime or cartoons or just a fun show that has an impact then I would highly recommend this show. This show has everything you want friendship, strong female characters, a male character who doesn’t suck and is so funny, traveling through dimensions, a super interesting storyline, and from what I know season three gets more intense so enjoy that fun season while it last friends. Star is so funny and adorable and yes she made not understand some things sometimes but she cares so much about her friends and her family so when it comes down to it she will take care of them because she loves them. Marco is such a wonderful friend and one of my favorite characters I love him and will protect him with my life! Also Starco forever. I think that it is for my spoilery free section and if you haven’t watched Star vs the Forces of Evil then you should leave if you don’t want to get spoiled! BYE!

SPOILERS

I said it before I never expect to love this show as much as I do. I thought that this show was just so cute and I loved the relationship and the characters are so wonderful and entertaining that I was having such a good time. But then Toffee just shows up and I was like noo. This is my happy show please but make my happy show sad by hurting one of my characters! When he took Marco and Star had to break her wand I started crying because it was sad seeing my baby girl crying. Then the hug between after they discover the wand it was so beautiful and wonderful. I ship them so much! Starco forever. After that episode I was just thinking maybe this show will go back to be happy but then season two came around and it was like FUCK NO BITCH YOU CONTINUE CRYING! The whole time I was watching season two I had this feeling of something is going to happen and it is going to be bigger then last time.

Honestly I didn’t know how I felt about Star and Marco being a couple that first season because I thought they would have been cute but they have such a good friendship that I don’t want that to be ruined. Then season two came along and now I’m just like there is no other ship that isn’t Starco! STARCO IS CANCON! That episode where Marco gets locked in the closet and he has to figure out her secret to get out and he finds the journal that says her feelings on Marco and that was when I was like ‘Shit! She has a crush on Marco! What’s gonna happen?’ and then nothing like major happened for the next couple of episodes. But then the Bon Bon the birthday clown episode came and Marco gets a date with Jackie and Star gets jealous and spies on them on their date and I was just oh no things are about to get real intense up in here! Then Star mets 30 year old Marco and is super attracted to him and I was like who can blame you but then I was like   Star thinks Marco is hot and you can’t fight me on this!

We then have the Sleepover episode and the truth box says that one of them is lying about who they have a crush on but then they get into a whole thing and the box gets destroyed and thrown away. But then at the end of the episode Star screams Marco’s name and the box just goes ‘Yes Star has a crush on-‘ and then it crushed again! I was just like what! You can’t do this to me! Then the FUCKING JUST FRIENDS EPISODE! OMG! I just want Star to be happy and she just seemed so upset and I just wanted to protect her and give her love! If you don’t think she was upset then fight me because she basically destroyed a sign. Then comes Face the Music with Patrick Stump and he sings a song about the book being lost and Star having a thing for Marco and again I just wanted to comfort her because SHE DOESN’T DESERVE THIS PAIN! THEN STARCRUSHED HAPPENED AND I WAS CRYING SO MUCH! What is with this show and sad season finales?

The two are both awkward around each other ever since the song day happened and after a while they finally make up but then her mom tells her she has to leave because Toffee has returned and she finally confesses her feelings then leaves. He chase her up the stairs to talk to her but then the room is empty and then the credits is just silence as it shows the Diaz house and the place where Star’s room used to be and I just started crying because she left and she told Marco she liked him but before they could talk about she left and AHHHHHH! How could this show do this to me? I thought that this show would be cute and fun and it is that but then it just had to go and break me. I love Star and Marco and I just want them to be together. If they don’t get together I’m going to be so sad. I like Tom. He is fun character and I enjoy his friendship with Marco but I don’t like him being with Star. I’m sorry!

I don’t want Marco with Kelly either or Janna or Jackie…. I’m sorry if you disagree but this is just my opinion. I do think that Janna and Tom would be cute and I only think that because I read about it in a fanfiction and I thought that was cute. I haven’t see any episodes of season three but I have read some of the episode and I got so emotional that I started crying. I know it seems dumb but I love it so much.

That’s my post of Star Vs the Forces of Evil! Or aka why Starco is best post. I hope you enjoyed this post! If you haven’t watched this show, I highly recommend it! IF you have watched it then what do you think? Do you love it? Do you ship Starco? I hope so because I do and if they don’t become canon then I’m going to scream! Have you guys watched this show? What did you think of it? Did you like or did you hate it? Let me know! I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to look out for more coming your way.
