Top 10 Favorite Shows! | 2017 Fall Edition

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m doing a top 10 of all my favorite shows of summer of 2017! I did one for winter in February which you can read here and I did one for spring in May which you can read here and one for summer which you can read here. I have watched so many shows this summer that I had to remove things from this list so that I could other things to this list. Picking the order of this list was hard because I liked a lot of these shows and it didn’t know where some of them should go Whatever. Let’s begin!

But first some honorable mentions!

Games of Thrones

I watched the first season of Game of Thrones. Are you proud universe? This is literally the show that almost the whole world watches and I just now finished the first season. I’ve read the first four books and I loved the first book, I liked the second book, I love the third book, and I hate book four. I debated about if this should be on my list or if it belong in the honorable mentions but I’m putting in the honorable mentions because I loved everything on the list more than I loved this show. I think I would have liked this show better if I watched it when I was reading books 1-3 and not post book four because post book four me is done with this series. I mean it’s a good show but I’m just done with it and all the hype.

Orphan Black

I finished it and it was beautiful and yes I was very scared about how it would end but every thing was fine and I cried for like an hour. I started crying and then I would stop and then I would start crying again. I’d really going to miss this show! If you haven’t watch Orphan Black what are you doing with your life? GO WATCH IT! All seasons are on Amazon so you know go get your life together and watch it. I wanted to put it on the list but it was on the list last time and I watched so many shows this season that I decided that it would just be better to put it here.

The Defenders

I did enjoy this show even though the rest of the world didn’t really seem to. Is it the best Marvel show? No that title is held by Jessica Jones but it doesn’t suck. I loved how all the aesthetics of each show blended together and I loved how the characters worked together. I’m glad I missed the Iron Fist as is the rest of the world and he was okay in this show I just loved everyone more. I’m excited for Jessica Jones season two I’m excited for Luke Cage season two and I’m really excited for Daredevil season three because you know that shit is going to be awesome! Again I enjoyed this I was going to do a full review but I didn’t have a lot to say about it other then I enjoyed it. If you like the Marvel Netflix then watch The Defenders. It won’t be your favorite but you will enjoy it.

The Five

This show! Oh my god was no what I expected it went for crime drama to crazy serial killer shit happening all in three episodes. I would put this on my list but I’ve only seen three episodes because my mom started watching it without. Hopefully I’ll pick it up again soon because I really enjoyed. If you didn’t know this is a show where a group of teens went out one day with one of the boy’s brother and then the boy’s brother goes missing. Years later at a crime scene his brother’s blood comes up in a DNA test. There is all this other cool stuff going on and it’s just crazy I was so looking forward to seeing how all of it played out. Again hopefully I’ll start watching it again.

Hit The Floor

This was going to be on the list but I started watching this other show that you’ll read about soon and I had to switch them out. This is show was one I kept reading about on tumblr and my sister and I started watching it together and then suddenly my mom and little sister joined in on it and we all watched all three seasons together. I love this show it was so crazy and dramatic and fun. I love Zero, I love  Jude, I love Kyle, they are all such great characters. It’s just so much fun to watch. I’m interested to see how the next season will work because like no one is coming back for it.

#10 The Catch

This was the show I switched out with Hit the Floor and it’s worthy because this show is soo good and I’m so sad it got canceled. This show is just so amazing! It has Peter Krause from Parenthood and I love him and I love their relationship. The whole show just reminds me of one of my favorite shows of all time White Collar and it kind of goes along the same lines. It follows Alice who is engaged and works as a private investigator and she is looking for a criminal who is called Mr. X. She comes home one day to find all of her stuff and money gone and turns out her fiancé is the guy is look for. Guys this show is so amazing and I’m so sad it got canceled. I miss it! This show is on Hulu so you can start to stream all two season which I highly recommend.

#9 Broadchurch

I watched all three seasons with my family and it just so good! If you like crime dramas then I’ll highly recommend this one. This show just ended and it wasn’t canceled I just want to say that. The mysteries on this show are so amazing and I just have so much fun watching it. The woman who is becoming the new doctor is on this show and there are like a million other people from Doctor Who who have roles on this show. This show does deal with some heavy and dark topics so if you are an young person like of five years old then I would not recommend you watch this show. I really enjoyed this show and I know that the first two seasons are on Netflix and I think season three will be on there soon so go watch it.

#8 Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency

I would just like to start with I have not finished the first season of this show and please do not leave spoilers about season two on this blog or my social media. I started watching this show because when I was watching Broadchruch on the BBC America app and I kept getting ads for this show which looked pretty interesting. My little sister and I started watching it and I’m almost done with the first season and I’m hoping to get to the second season soon. This show is so much fun and weird an quirky and I love it!

#7 Wynonna Earp

Damn dude this show was amazing! I’d been hearing about this show for awhile now and the first two seasons were on Netflix so my sisters and I were like let’s give it a shot. It’s so good and so funny. Like Supernatural but a lot better. It’s so silly but also serious at the same time. It’s just so amazing! I love it! I haven’t seen all of season three yet but I’m ready to finish it because I’ve heard so many good things about it. If you like supernatural shows then you’ll enjoy this. The lead is amazing and so funny but like it’s funnier then Supernatural and better then Supernatural. Watch it you’ll have a good time.

#6 Star VS The Forces of Evil

I started watching this show because I had seen it on tumblr and some commercials but I didn’t know what to think. I finished watching Gravity Falls and Miraculous wasn’t out yet so I was just like did something like that, something with plot and but still funny and enjoyable and that’s what this show is. I love it so much! It’s so cute and has a lot of heart and I really love Star and Marco. Marco is the best! I love him! They are both so cute and funny! Guys watch this show! because You’ll love it!

#5 The Bold Type

The show I never expected to love! I have a review about it you can here if you want. I talked about how from the commercials I thought it was going to be another cheesy freeform chow but it really isn’t! This show is just so amazing and wonderful! We have been confirmed for both a second and third season so we have thought to look forward to which I’m excited for because I miss this show! I re watched the finale and I was just reminded of how much I love this show because it’s soo good! This is one of the best things on FreeForm and just watch because you’ll love it.

#4 Big Little Lies

If you don’t remember I read this book back in the like September I think but either way I loved the book. It was so much fun to read and it left me like oh shit that happened and it was so amazing. I read the book and I decided that I would want to watch the show which had just come out. My mom who have read a lot of books by the author of Big Little Lies so we started watching it together and it was a lot of fun. They didn’t change a lot of things and a lot of the things that they changed where like things weren’t like important to the story things. I can see how they want to be a second season because the show didn’t finish it where the book left off so if they did do a second season it could work.

#3 The Mindy Project

The final season had aired and finished and I’m so sad because I have no clue what I’m going to without. I was so happy with the finish for this show because season five was okay I didn’t like Ben. I only ever wanted her to get back together with Danny. This season was amazing and funny and so beautiful. I’m so sad that it’s over. I miss it already. Mindy is just so funny and great! Why did you have to go so soon? Because I miss you! *okay i’ll stop now

#2 The Good Place

I was worried for this season because I had no clue what was going to happen but I have never laughed harder then I have watching this show. It’s so much fun and enjoyable to watch I just love it so much! if you haven’t watched the Good Place yet then what are you doing? The first season should be on netflix and the second season has some episodes on hulu so go watch it because it is so amazing. It’s just so much fun to watch! I’m excited to see where the rest of this season is going because the start right now has just been amazing and so funny and weird!

#1 Gravity Falls

I started watching this show because I had been hearing stuff about it for months and after watching and loving Miraculous Ladybug I figured that maybe I should it a try because it has a great cast and a lot cool people guest star. All two seasons are on Hulu by the way and it also as a person from Parenthood, Jason Ritter. I loved this show and it’s was just my favorite this season. I’ve watched it so many times. It’s so amazing and I would recommend it if you love mystery and fantasy. Dipper and Mabel just have a great  friendship and I’m going to love this show forever. I remembering watching the finale and just crying my eyes out and then I started rewatching the show with my little sister and the same thing happened over again. It’s such a good show.

That is all my top 10 shows for Fall of 2017! I hope you guys enjoyed this list! I’m doing one of my top 10 favorite tv shows of this year soon. Next up is favorite books and then after that my least favorite books of 2017. Then we will be having more reviews in the oncoming months of 2018. Do you guys agree with what I’ve said? Books I Read This Month! | November

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m talking about the books I read in the month of November of 2017! I have one from the month of October which you can read here. Aka the wrap up that I don’t call a wrap up because I don’t want to call it that. I only read six months this month and that really disappoints me. I had NaNoWrimo this month which I won so I didn’t get around to reading a lot but I still tried so. Let’s began!

The Rose & The Dagger by Renee Ahdieh

-B: Could has better and was too slow and only got good at the end

I read the first book in September and I started this in October but I wasn’t able to finish in the month because stuff is happening in my life. I’m finished now. I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed it more then the first book. It was so good. I thought it was a step up from the first book and I really it liked it. it’s not my favorite book ever but I still I really liked it. I read this on the car ride to State and it kept me entrained. I would recommend this book if you want to read it or you enjoy intense romance books.

Want by Cindy Pon

D: Nothing seem to happen. The characters had a bad attitude or were boring until the end. Story didn’t know what it wanted.

I went into this book with high expectations because I’ve heard great things about Cindy Pon and the cover of the book looks so cool! But again I read this on the ride to State and I wasn’t really entrained. I’m thinking maybe I should give this book another chance but I just didn’t like this book. The timeline was kind of confusing and the characters were really dull. I wish I had liked this book.

The Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

savage song

-A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

I’ve been wanting to read this book for awhile and I was hoping to read it around Halloween but I didn’t get to it until this month and after reading this book I can say that I wish I had read this book sooner because it was so amazing. I loved the character and I loved the story. It was so good and I understand why people love it. I can’t wait to read Our Dark Duet which is the sequel to this book. There were so parts were I would drift away but then I would be pulled back into it. Hopefully I can get to that before the end of the year.

Furthermore and Whichwood by Tahereh Mafi

+B: Had a weird pace and took me a while to like the characters.

I’ve read some of Tahereh Mafi books before I read Shatter Me and that was a little over hyped for me so I couldn’t get through it. I found an arc of Furthermore and Whichwood in my house and I heard everyone talking about Whichwood so I started that one first before getting like a 100 pages into and realizing that maybe I should read Furthermore first. You probably don’t have to read them first because Whichwood is a companion book but I felt like I had too. Because I felt like I could get to know the characters before and understand the world more. I liked both books the same amount. Furthermore took me a little longer to like but because I expected it to be like Whichwood which was kind of dark and mysterious and I liked that. Once I got into Furthermore I did really enjoy it. Both worlds are really interesting and creative to reading about. I liked the writing Whichwood more because it was so creative and weird creepy and I loved it.

Dating You / Hating You by Christina Lauren

+C: A work in progress. Okay writing, not so great characters and story line but pulled through and was readable.

I’ve been wanting to read a Christina Lauren book for awhile and I finally got to this book. Usually I don’t read romance books with Enemies to Lovers stuff because I get really get into them and I usually find the relationships not the best. Also a lot of time the guys are real jerks. I really enjoyed this book the characters with entraining at some points. I mean it wasn’t my favorite book like it was cliche at some points but it did ask about real things like working in the office when you are woman as Evie has a boss who isn’t the best and there are lines that talk about how he isn’t the best when it comes to women. I did enjoy parts of this book but I did think that the prank seemed like something out of a middle school book. It was good like I said I don’t like romance but if you do then I think you should read this book.

I know! This is an all time low for books I’ve read this month. Like I said I had NaNoWrimo which I won! I know I already said that but I’m so happy that I won because I’ve never won before. I’ll make a post about that later but a way this month wasn’t a good month for me as I also moved. So yeah. Things are really crazy right now. I hope you enjoyed this review *many reviews and make sure to look out for more coming your way. You should follow my book club here and other social media links. Grace’s Reaction to Love, Simon Trailer!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m talking about my thoughts and feelings about the Love, Simon trailer!

*warning! I talk about both the trailer and the book so spoilers

So it’s out in the world and I have a lot of things on it! I have never done one of these before and I probably won’t do it again as I don’t really watch trailers anymore. Trailers give me anxiety about movies I’m really excited for and I get really scared and I like about them until I get really bad aches. There have been a lot of Books to Movie Adaptation in the works this year and I’m excited for a lot of them including this one but I watched the trailer because I wanted to even though I knew I shouldn’t and now I have a lot of anxiety!

Let’s just start with the whole trailer in general. Well it’s a good first trailer, it gives you a feel for the characters and the story without giving you a lot of information on them. Literally the only thing that you really learn about anyone is that Simon is gay and he is in high school that it’s! Which is good. You can’t give away the plot in the whole trailer or then no one is going to go see it and it’s also trailer #1 so when more trailers come out we will probably get more and I need more! I thought the straight people coming out scene was funny with their parent’s reaction. I’m guessing that’s like a fantasy scene in Simon’s mind. There is also like a clip of Simon almost kissing someone under the mistletoe and is that a fantasy thing too? Or is that something that is happening? I’m confused! And that’s thing with this trailer, it has confused me!

I mean I did like it and I’m excited about the movie but it has confused me to the point where I had to write a blog post about it! We see Simon looking at Bram and then Bram is kissing someone and he seems upset about it. What was that? I’ve checked like five times on IMBD and it says that it is Bram so like what the fuck is happening!! I know it’s just a trailer and it’s hasn’t given us a lot to go on but if we are following the plot of the movie then you might what to be a little better at keeping secrets!

I probably just need to calm down and wait for the next trailer. Becky Albertalli if you are reading can you tweet me everything is going to be okay. In fact can everyone just tweet me everything is going to be okay. This is a short post but it was never going to be long in the first so. I hope you enjoyed this really random post and make sure to look out for different and a little more sane posts coming your way soon. You should follow my book club here and other social media links. I posted rants like this once a week every week. Look out for more reviews and other random posts. Well that was emotional and I’m so super sad | Final Fall by Heather W. Petty review

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m review the third and final book in Lock and Mori series, which is Final Fall by Heather W. Petty!

-A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

Before we get into much into the book, I would just like to thank Heather who sent me an arc of this book which was signed and I also got a cool little book mark to go with it. I always like it when authors give out bookmarks. It’s nice! So I couldn’t wait for the release date of this book for me to read like I planned. I was going to be start and wait for November to read but it came in the mail today I got so excited and I had to read! In case you are confused because this will be published the day after the books release, I’m writing this in past! I have a review for Lock & Mori and than I have a review for the sequel Mind Games so check those out if you haven’t. If you don’t know Lock & Mori is a take on the Sherlock Holmes Story where it shows the relationship of Sherlock and James Moriarty before they became enemies and Moriarty is a girl.

I loved book one and book two so I was really excited but scared for book three. IF you’ve been here before then you know that I love books that explain how villains turn bad but I also don’t because it’s so sad watching them go from having people they love to becoming such a terrible person. That’s what this trilogy is though like you watch Lock and Mori fall in love in the first book and then you watch their relationship slowly falling apart through book two and book three and it’s so sad because they love each other and they still do after this book! It just makes me so sad!! Like this book let me tell you I was worried that I wasn’t going to like it because it is a very small book. I don’t know if it’s just my arc or if it’s just like that in general. I kind of like that it was short though because we have a main focus on the story and we didn’t waste any time with other things. I was upset at first that there was a time jump but now that I think about that I’m glad that it was there because I hate Alice and I just wanted her and her brothers to get the hell out of there.

I hate Alice. She sucks and she is the reason that Lock and Mori have this really messed up relationship. ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!!! Not to repeat myself but she sucks. Literally that first couple chapters with Alice and the guard I was like maybe this book isn’t so great but then we jump into the future and Mori has been trained and she has revenge on her mind and she isn’t backing it out. Her escaping and trying to save her brothers was so insane. The whole scene that involved her getting out was so intense. I’m debating if  I would have wanted to see Mori get trained because I want to see her descent into madness. I know that sounds weird but Heather W. Petty is so good at writing Mori get darker with each book. I also think it would have been a little dragging for the story and I probably would have been like ‘Ugh where Lock? Why is this happening?’.

Lock though I wanted to cry whenever he and Mori had a scene together!! When she goes into his house and into his room. When he comes in and she’s hiding in his room and Sherlock is just ‘Either you touched this once or you just walked by and that’s your perfume I smell.’ It was something like that and when I read it I got so sad! Also John and Sherlock were hanging out at Sherlock’s house. I can not describe to you how happy I was to read that part like I was smiling just writing this. If you didn’t know this because I’ve talked about it in both of my reviews if you don’t know the lack of John Watson in these books has been really upsetting for me. It’s still a small scene but it’s John and Sherlock talking and it makes me happy! When Mori is talking to Mycroft and he is like I need to pretend to be his enemy and she was like I can make him hate me for feel. It was too much! She still loves him! With that finally line about how she would never love another boy like she loved Sherlock Holmes and my heart just shattered.

Sherlock just wants to talk to Mori and pull her out of this mess and get her out of the killing spree she is on *she kills a lot of people in this book. He just wants to help to her!!! This book guys it’s just so amazing and wonderful and heartbreaking!!! Guys just go read this series because it’s wonderful and heartbreaking. I do kind of wish that we had gotten some sort of epilogue but then we don’t really need one because we know what happens next. Well that’s it for this review! You guys need to read this series because it’s so good and I can’t wait to see what else Heather has to write about. I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to look out for more coming your way soon. Surprising I really liked this book! | Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas

Greetings earthlings! Today I’m review Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas, the sixth book in the Throne of Glass series!

tower of dawn

-A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

“Don’t you waste one heartbeat now being afraid of a coward who hunts women in the darkness.”

I wasn’t sure if I was going to review this book but I’ve review all the other books in Throne of Glass so I was like why not? I case you’re new here I have reviews for all the Throne of Glass books. I have a review Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, and Empire of Storms so if you would like to read one then click on the names of the books or just go look at the Throne of Glass category on the side. For some reason I want to call this book seven and I did the same thing with Empire of Storms like I was always being like ‘reading book six’ and then realizing that it’s book five and what the hell am i talking about.

This book is basically what Chaol was doing during the events of Empire of Storms because if you don’t remember he was only mentioned in Empire of Storms and it was great! If you don’t know I hate Chaol. Ever since book one I was hated him and in every book since then he has just gotten worse and worse. He is just so winy, and kinda of boring, and he is a real jerk to Aelin in the beginning and I hate him! But so many people love him it turns out which is weird. I like Dorian and my best friend likes Dorian but everyone else like ‘CHAOL OH MY GOD I LOVE HIM’. They talk about Chaol the way I talk about Tom Holland and Harrison Osterfield. I got my mom to read Throne of Glass and I was like ‘what do you think of Dorian?’ and she’s just like ‘Oh he’s nice but I like Chaol’ and I was just in shock. I had low expectations for this book because I didn’t even really want to read it. Even when it was going to be a novella I was like no. But because it’s book six and I love Throne of Glass so I read it and to my surprise I really enjoyed it.

*gasps for effects! I know! Crazy right? But it was a lot of fun, Chaol was enjoyable to read about, I love Yrene, and I loved the story and I just love Sarah J. Maas books!! They are so good! I liked Chaol in this book like I enjoyed reading his point of view. I mean at first I enjoyed Yrene’s point of view but then I soon enjoyed them both. Yrene and Chaol oh my god I really enjoyed reading about them and their story. They went from hating each other to loving each other and they got married! So I guess now that Chaol is married we can finally claim that Chaol and Aelin is a die ship. Yay. I’m glad that he is happy though this book was good! Nesyrn though reading about her and Chaol and that she was still sort of holding on to. When she saw him and Yrene together and run away, I was so sad. I’m sad that this series is ending and that I have to wait like a whole another year for the next book to come out which sucks. This book was really good and I think that if you enjoy Throne of Glass then you should read this book. Did anyone else read this book because I saw anyone haul it but then no one did a review on it. What happen? Was it not worth reviewing?

Nesyrn was so great in this book and I just wanted to protect her. And weirdly a part of me was still hoping that maybe her and Chaol would patch things up but they didn’t and I was okay with that because he and Yrene seem to just go with each other. Nesyrn though when she sees Yrene and Chaol and they are like having a moment and she gets upset and she just leaves with that guy. The note she left for Chaol and it took him like forever to get it, I knew that he was going to get upset and like yell at Yrene because Chaol is a whiny little child and because that’s what normally happens in this types of situation. That happened and I just wanted to like hug everyone and at the same time just talk them in a room and have them talk about everything. I’m excited for what happens next and I’m very happy that I enjoyed this book. Guys just read this book because even if you don’t like Chaol then you’ll stay enjoy this book. It’s not my favorite book in the series that title is currently being held by Heir of Fire and Empire of Storms but this book still is amazing and beautiful written. Sarah was done another great job with writing this book.

And that’s it for my Tower of Dawn book review! I’m so sad that we only have one more book left but I hope it goes off with a bang! And it probably will. Well I hope because if I’m being honest I was disappointed by ACOWAR and I’m hoping that whatever book seven is going to be better and I’m interested into seeing whatever Sarah is going to be doing next. I have no clue whatever posts are coming soon because I’m writing this in the past. I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to look out for more coming your way soon. Life is Strange: Episode Two | Gameplay

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m doing a gameplay of the second episode of Life is Strange!

*again I have no clue if i should tag spoilers

I did a GamePlay for the first episode which you can read here. I have done episode two and I’m very much enjoying this game it’s so much fun. Again I still have no clue if I’m making the correct decision. Like the girl named Kate is getting bullied for a video that was posted online and it has her kissing a lot of people and I told her to go to the police and then told her that I couldn’t help with that and then you know my favorite butterfly affect symbol shows up and reminds me that I could just have fucked everything up in the future for everyone. At first I was like okay that’s there and I was starting to get used to that fact but then literally all the effects for my decisions started happening. I didn’t answer Kate’s phone because Chloe suddenly got very bitchy with me and I was too busy focusing on her and then later when Kate is trying to commit suicide, she brings up that she was upset that I didn’t answer.

But you know what I saved her! IGN said I probably wasn’t going to save but I did! Yeah I knew all the right things to say. I think that was probably the only right thing I did in the game like in the first episode when the principle was talking to me and I first told him about Nathan and he didn’t believe so I rewinded and changed the thing so that he didn’t know. When Nathan and Max were in the the principle’s office and I was like Nathan uploaded the video and he was waving a gun around yesterday in the bathroom and then the principle is like hey you never mentioned this when we talked and it’s like shit I forgot I changed that. Luckily I still got everyone to side with me so it started out hard and bad but we got it this, I got this. I’m saying this but my next post will mostly likely me  typing in caps ‘I FUCKED EVERYTHING UP’.

I did have some hard times like Chloe gets her feet stuck in the railroads because teens are rebellious and you know they have to be around railroads. She gets stuck and it took me like a million years to figure out how to save her and she just kept dying and dying and I kept having to go back in time. Max can’t run very fast through which I found annoying unless there is a run button and I just have no clue where it is. It was so annoying with Chloe just crying at me and me not being able to run and hurry things up. Chloe was kind of crazy in this episode with like her making me test all Max’s powers and it’s starting to hurt Max and she just kept making her do it. Then the guns come out which I should have expected because teens with powers also seem to want and test things with guns. The bottle researching was fun because I learned more about Chloe and Rachel and I 100% believe that she is using Max to replace Rachel which I don’t like.

Victoria is a bitch she is in like 2% of this episode and I could not stand her. I was like want happened to make you such an awful person. Her and Nathan were just hanging out by my desk and she’s like oh my gosh she thought we were going to be friends and I just wanted to scream ‘Not true! I was just trying to be a better person than you! With this thing called nicest!’ Unfortunately this a video so I can’t scream that and have her hear me. Also this teacher I don’t like him because he seems like a creep and he keeps calling out my name in class for me to enter this thing and clearly he doesn’t understand this thing called she’s a woman and can make her own decision. So we are leading up to Max’s powers and the effects of her using them having an effect on the world and her which I thought was interesting. I kind of expect the whole the world might fall part with the snow in the summer and the eclipse for no reason.

And I think that’s all I have for this part! Look out for part three which I hope will come faster then this part came out so! I recommend this game to guys and if you enjoy time travel and another games that make you question everything. I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to look out for more coming your way. Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir Review | Season 2 EP 1: The Collector

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing the first episode of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir season two!

I know what you are probably thinking right now. You are probably thinking one: Grace it’s not Wednesdays and I thought we were done with double posts a week what the hell? Well I’ve been having some trouble with this blog like I have so many post ideas but when I only update once they won’t be out for a long time and I don’t want that to be like that all the time. Like if I kept doing that then this would out in February and we would be done talking about season two, we would be losing our shit about season three and what comes next. So yeah I’m not doing this every week, I’m only doing it if I want something out soon whether then later and it will mostly only be reviews. You probably have another question which is why are you talking about Miraculous I thought we were done with it? Well I took like a month break from Miraculous which I need because I was at the point where I had watched Miraculous so many times and studied it so many times that it was giving me a headache. After I did my Let’s Talk About It for this show, I was like I will not talk about this show or watch it or learn anything about until I could watch it again without like studying it and giving myself a headache. I also stopped because I knew if I kept doing that I would overhype for myself which I don’t want.

But like I said it’s a been a month and episodes have aired and I’m better now and I’m ready to reenter the world of Miraculous. If you don’t know what Miraculous Ladybug is I have two review for it because I wrote the first part and then like a day later I realized I wasn’t done talking about it so I made part two. If you want to know stuff about it then read the first one. It’s streaming on Netflix I think everywhere *don’t quote me on that.. no.. stop it and if you live in France then some of the new episodes have already aired so watch season one and then watch season two and come back. I honestly forgot that it was airing the night this episode came out because I left to get my life together. I was at a restaurant with my sister who also watches the show and I went on tumblr for two seconds and there is Miraculous Ladybug trending. I click on it to discover that the first two episode had aired in France and I lost my cool and so did my sister. I was going to wait for all the episodes to come onto Netflix next month so I could stream them all together like I did with the first season because I knew that if I watched one episode I would want more. But I couldn’t help myself I miss this show and I couldn’t watch season one anymore knowing that more information had come to light and I knew nothing. I watched this episode and next thing I know I spent a lot of the day looking for information now season two because I need it now!

I don’t know if I’ll do this for every episode but I had a lot to say about this one so I thought I would do a review for it. Maybe all do more leading up to it coming onto Netflix for the others who haven’t watched it yet. I don’t know! I enjoyed this episode it was a good start into season two and it gives us a sign that we are getting more this season and I’m loving it! It also doesn’t spend time like telling us what happen last time which is what most shows do when they come back but this didn’t. I didn’t think it was possible but I somehow fell more in love with Adrien / Chat Noir. Every time I saw Adrien or Chat my heart just swooned! Marinette is still amazing and I still love her very much. The Collector was an interesting villain for this episode let me tell you. It was all crazy and amazing. It wasn’t as bad as I thought and what I mean by that is I thought it was going to be Volphia which an episode I had a hard time finishing because I just want everyone to be happy and stupid bitch Lila was going to mess it. There were some moments that came close to that but I survived for now. I would give this episode an +A because I really enjoyed it. I don’t know what else I can say without not spoiling people so I think that’s it for my nonspoilery section. If you have watched this episode please leave and then come back when you have watched. BYE!

OKAY! I would just let to start with Gabriel Argeste. If you are new here then let me tell you that I have been talking about the Argestes ever since I started this show because we don’t know much about them. I thought that Gabriel was HawkMoth when I first watched season one and as season two got closer I was beginning to change my mind but then what do you know he turns out to be HawkMoth! It was like Thomas was watching me and being like ‘HaHa you thought it wasn’t true so now I’m making it happen’. We start off with Adrien getting in trouble with stealing the Miraculous Book because like Marinette, Nathalie has a bunch of photos of Adrien and is showing them to Gabriel. Why do people have so many pictures of this kid? Where do they get them from? So Gabriel has like a fit over this and tells Adrien that he can’t go to school anymore and then when everyone leaves the room, he just starts destroying it for some reason. I still kind of confuse on why he did it because what the hell man! You just destroyed your house for no reason. He tried to pass his anger off as the book was inspiration for his designs to Adrien and I knew right then it was complete bullshit. We got a better excuse later when he tells Adrien that it was the last thing Mrs. Argeste got him before she disappeared. I’m still wondering if it was even an excuse like maybe that is why he holding onto the book or if he believe it help in the future. I’m still not sure yet.

Marinette has met Master Fu and we met the turtle kwami and like while the whole meeting is going on we just see him and Tikki just goofing around I loved that. It wasn’t something big and important but it was a nice thing to see. We learn that Master Fu is a Guardian of the Miraculouses which was interesting because I thought that he was the Turtle Miraculous holder. Maybe he is both? I don’t know. He tells her that he made a mistake which we already knew that last him the butterfly miraculous and the peacock miraculous and the Miraculous Spell book which was the book that Adrien found in his dad’s safe. Master Fu tells him that whoever had this book last probably is HawkMoth and I knew she was going to lie to save Adrien because that’s what she does. She protects Adrien even though he only sees her as a friend but Adrien protects her when she is Marinette and he is Chat Noir or at least I think that’s whats happening. Marinette just starts freaking out over the fact that she got the book from him and believes that he could be HawkMoth. I couldn’t help but face palm because the girl can’t even realize that she fights next to the boy everyday! I mean yes it was expected for her to have that reaction but for some reason I got upset about it. She goes to the school to find out that Adrien has been pulled out of school for stealing his dad’s book which then leads Marinette to believe that Gabriel is the owner of the book and not Adrien.

We go to HawkMoth which before we got started on that I have to comment on somethings. First off and I’ve talked about this before which the name HawkMoth. We learn that he has the Butterfly Miraculous and if it’s called the butterfly miraculous then why the hell is his name HawkMoth? Like was Butterfly hero not cool enough for you? With Ladybug and Chat Noir there isn’t a lot of creative for them and I guess there is for this other miraculous maybe? Maybe the creators of something were just like oh those two are the most powerful so they don’t get as much creativity with the name. Okay back to what I saying we got to HawkMoth who is getting ready to Akamatize Gabriel and he sends off the akama but it doesn’t leave though and then HawkMoth detransforms into Gabriel *who saw that coming? everyone!. Gabriel decides that he needs to akamatize himself so that he throw him off his trail and my respond to that was who are trying to throw off! Are you using your weird thing that shows you people’s emotions to see that Ladybug thinks you are HawkMoth? Like how does he know that people are beginning to  think that they know he is doing all this shit? Does he think Adrien thinks that he is HawkMoth because Chat Noir didn’t even find out until a couple minutes later when Ladybug told him she thought Gabriel was HawkMoth. Either way Gabriel comes The Collector and continues to destroy everything in his house.

Gabriel is like so EXTRA about everything and we already knew he was extra because he locked his son away from the world for years because he was like I have to care about your safety and he won’t let Adrien do anything! And we literally see him destroy his whole house over a book and if he didn’t want anyone to know that he is HawkMoth then maybe you should calm down! He goes to Adrien’s room to like hurt him but he sneaks out to met Ladybug and I was so glad about that. Like no one hurts Adrien no one! Adrien seems really upset when Ladybug tells him that she believes that his dad is HawkMoth and I just wanted to hug him and tell him everything is okay. He believes that there is good in everyone while Marinette sometimes will be like no you’re evil and I hate you which is why their relationship works. Because they strengths and weaknesses seem to even each other out and it makes the a good team. Also I forget that HawkMoth has to say ‘Dark Wings rise’ and ‘Dark Wings Fall’ and when he say it  I just died laughing because it still makes no sense to me what so ever. The whole fight at the house was so interesting and it was intense because there were so many moments where I was like shit what if something happens to my kids. Adrien has gone back to believing that his dad is innocent but I know this now and he needs to get away from his father. I love that Ladybug kept checking in on Chat Noir because she could just tell that something was wrong and my heart was just full.

There wasn’t any Lila which I wasn’t expecting. I thought because we weren’t make where we ended then she would be there and she wasn’t which I was so thankful. In this episode we also learned Kwamis can’ be photographed and that Chat Noir’s tail comes off which where two things that I thought were interesting. Gabriel said that he got the over seas so maybe that’s where he also got his miraculous. Also Nathalie knows that he is HawkMoth so I’m wondering how much she is getting paid to kept these secrets. I’m really interested to see what happens next with this whole story and does Gabriel know who Chat Noir and Ladybug are? I need to know more! I’m so excited to see where else this season is going because I can tell you I think this is going to be a good one. I think that our heroes will have to deal with finding identities for each others and HawkMoth and I’m worried that Adrien might discover who his dad is and will side with him and he would fight Ladybug and that’s when the other Miraculous come into play. That would also be cool and break my heart at the same time.

I think that’s it for my review for this episode. IF you would like for me to review the next ones then let me know. Also I have no seen the rest of season two and please don’t leave spoilers in the comments or on my social media thank you very much. Have you guys seen season two yet? If you have what did you think? I have a writing post coming up soon and I have my Life is Strange GamePlay next week so look out for that. Books I Read This Month! | October

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m talking about the books I read in the month of September of 2017! I made a post for the month of September which you can read here and please do because I had fun doing this. If you are wondering what this is, it’s basically a wrap up that I didn’t want to call a wrap up. I read eleven books this month and I enjoyed them….. Some of them! Let’s begin!

Final Fall by Heather W. Petty

-A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

I have a whole review coming soon once the book comes out so I’m not going to talk about all of my feelings right now. Also I would like to thank Heather for sending me the copy of this book. I won it a giveaway and she sent me an arc that was signed and had a super cool bookmark. I was so happy to read this book before it came out because I could not wait for November. This book broke my heart. It was sad and emotional and I can’t believe that this series is over. I finished thinking that there was going to be a book four but then I remembered that this is end. Well I’m guessing it’s the end. I’m not going to be mad if Heather was just like here’s book four I would love but I’m looking on the more realistic side which is that this is Lock and Mori’s final story together. This book was amazing again I would 100% recommend this series to Sherlock lovers and book lovers all around because it’s amazing!

Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

+B: Had a weird pace and took me a while to like the characters.

I’ve made to book two ladies and gentlemen! Is everyone proud of me? You should be because this series is hitting the over hype scale. The first book was good and I talked about it in my last post and I really enjoyed it. This one however was not as great as the first one I’m not saying that I hated it but it’s not the best thing in the whole world. It was kind of a let down. I mean it was still a good book but we were kind of just drifting along through the story and I’m really had hard time enjoy this book. I like Mal a little more than I did in this first book but he and Alina’s relationships was so annoying. It’s the hero move were they clearly want to be together but they aren’t and they get kept getting jealous and upset like it’s so annoying. Also the Darkling felt more like a footnote in this book which I didn’t like. So good book but the first one was better.

Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo

+C: A work in progress. Okay writing, not so great characters and story line but pulled through and was readable.

Again this book was a let down. I didn’t really enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed the first book because with this book I kind of realized that this book doesn’t really seemed to have a plot. Like the first book was setting everything up and leading up to this epic sequels but then with this and book two we honestly just feel like we are just floating around in this world and not really doing anything. And Darkling didn’t really have a path that made him good which made me mad because what the hell? You made me like him and then have him be a bad guy that feels more like a footnote to me. I was just so upset with this book and honestly guys maybe it’s just because this overhyped because everyone talks about it. Maybe her other series will be better like Wonder Woman or maybe I just don’t like the Grishaverse because I read Six of Crows *that’s on this list and again I find myself struggling to read it and like it. Leigh Bardugo needs to stop writing good books so that everyone will stop overhyping them for me.

I hate everyone but you by Gaby Dunn and Allison Raskin

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

This is my second time reading this book this year. I got this book in July as an Arc and I read it and I loved it and then I started watching Just Between Us and I’ve been spending the last couple of months watching all of their videos *i’m almost done watching them. This book was on my Top Five Youtuber Books and if you go back and read that then you’ll see that I gave it an -A but now I gave it an +A because it took a whole second read to realize that this might just be my favorite book of 2017. Thing is I really need this book this year because it deals with a lot of things that I’ve been struggling with and this book just deals with all of it so well with taking away from the humor and not romanticizing anything which is a hard book to find now a days. One day I was feeling sick and my head was filled with a lot of thoughts because I was super stressed and I was trying to calm down so that I wouldn’t cry and have like a panic attack. I was watching some JBU videos and they were talking about the book so I just picked up my copy and started re reading the book and I just loved it soo much!! Guys go read this book and go watch their  channel. I feel like I should review this book. Maybe I will who knows but I like I have all posts planed out until December so it won’t be out for a while.

Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh

+C: A work in progress. Okay writing, not so great characters and story line but pulled through and was readable.

I might re read this book because I feel like I didn’t appreciate the normal amount. I like Renee’s other books the Wrath and the Dawn and I’m currently reading The Rose and The Dagger so I went into this book thinking it was going to be The Wrath and The Dawn which it is not. There is definitely a difference between this and her other books. This book is okay like I said I need to re read it. I don’t really have a lot to say about it right now…. I’m sorry.

Turtles All the Way Down by John Green

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

I’m doing a full review for this book because I loved this book! The review won’t be out for awhile because like I said earlier I have the month of November and December planned out so it probably won’t be out for a while. I have posts out for November so that’s all filled out and then I have more reviews in December and then after that I have my favorites post things are so stressful right now. So safe to say I loved this book because damn was this relatable as hell! I got so sad at so many parts and it was just so good. I would recommend going to into this book not knowing anything because that’s what I did and I’m glad that I did that because I avoided me probably overhyping the book for me. I also got this the same week it came out so I also avoid all the reviews that also would have taken part in me overhyping this book. When I finished this book, I wasn’t sure about who I felt about it and then like five minutes later I was like ‘Whoa that book was amazing’. This might be my favorite John Green Book I’m not sure yet but I  really loved it.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

-C: Was expecting more than I got. Characters didn’t get any development until halfway.

I’m sorry!! I really want to like this book. Everyone likes it but I can’t get into it. It’s just so boring and I’m not at all entertained. I tried to read Crooked Kingdom too and the same thing happened. I just can’t with this. I’m sorry.

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

This. Book. Was. Insane. Like I thought it was going to be an LGBT+ contemporary that took place in the different time but then suddenly there are pirates and kidnappings and they are running away. It wasn’t what I expected but it was amazing and I’m really glad that I didn’t expect any of it because that’s why this book was so amazing. I love Monty and I love Percy their relationship was just so great but here’s the thing for a lot of this book I was just like ‘Will you two just get your acts together and kiss already?’ I would recommend this book to people who love LGBT books.

Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line

So I started this book like last month. I got the audiobook and I was listening to it and it give me so much anxiety that I couldn’t finish the book. I stopped at 100 pages and then decided that I had to go and read the actual book to see if it would stress me out less. Nope! This book isn’t supposed to stress you out, it’s suppose to be a nice book with a good message with some hard hitting moments. I was just so scared about everything and I just wanted Willowdean to be happy and I didn’t want anything to bad to help to her. This book though was really great though and I’m so excited for the film that is coming out soon and it’s going to be amazing. I love the message this book has and it’s just so great! I cried at some points which I’m not going to talk about because spoilers but this book is amazing and if you haven’t read then you are missing out. Also there making a movie and I hope it’s amazing.

Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer

-A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

It’s the return to the Lunar Chronicles Universe. This is a graphic novel which I was excited to read because I love the Lunar Chronicles. I did enjoy this book but there was just something about it that just kept me from totally loving it. It’s super cute though in some scenes with Wolf and Scarlet and Cress and Thorne and I enjoyed seeing things again. I wasn’t super happy that things weren’t working out in some ways which I guess is a different take but still I just want everyone to be happy.

Remember when I said I wanted to read something scary this month? Well I failed. Sorry not sorry it’s been a hard month for me. We’re sealing my house and then I had regions and school stuff. Also I didn’t read any F’s so hooray!!! But I still I only read a couple books that I truly loved this month that I didn’t re read. Look at for writing post coming next week and then my GamePlay for Life is Strange Episode two. I hope you enjoyed this review *many reviews and make sure to look out for more coming your way. The Handmaid’s Tale TV Show Review| Epic Adaptations

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m talking about the tv show, The Handmaid’s Tale, based off the book by Margaret Atwood which is my October book of the month!

If you don’t know I have a book club called Epic Adaptations where every month I pick a book that has been adapted into a book or movie and then I’ll review both and then I compare it. For October I picked The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood which was adapted into a show by Hulu. You may have heard of it because it would so many emmys and I’m glad it did because it was amazing, I have a whole review for the book so check that out right here.

This show was amazing. The acting was amazing, the filming was amazing, the aesthetic of the whole shows was wonderful, and the feel of the book is in the show which I loved! They did such a great job just capturing everything and putting it together. I have to give out a warning if you want to watch this show there are some graphic scenes so I won’t let like a youngen watch this show because some scenes are hard to watch. If you old enough though and have Hulu I would 100% recommend this show and the book too because it was so amazing! I love watching this show that sounds wrong because this show deals with a lot of hard stuffs but it’s just so amazing and great.

The girl who played Offred is great and she won an Emmy so that should show. All the other actors are great because they make you either love or hate their characters which is great when you hate them because you known you are suppose to hate them. The show is amazing and it’s very close to the book but then in some ways they changed a lot to add on to the story because they were things that either weren’t answered in the book or they were in the book but they were put in a different order. Like her real name being June, that’s not a thing that was talked about in the book. You never learn her real name but one scene the name June is mentioned and fans of the book labeled her as June and they wrote it into the show. Scenes are out go of order like the Doctor’s appointment was earlier in the book but that was in like episode four.

I’m not complaining about that though because I enjoyed that they did it that way. It’s different from other book to movie adaptations because they change things to the story for some reason and it doesn’t add anything to the story but when they change the story in this it stills adds onto the story. Another thing that I think was good was the fact they give more information on some of the characters like her husband, Moira, and Ofglen. Alexis was fucking fantastic as Ofglen that scene with her watching the girl getting hanged was so sad. All the actors and actress were so good!!! Just watch this show it’s great! And we are getting a season two which I’m excited about because the book just ends and the season one ends the same way so we are getting more and hopefully it will be good.

Accuracy: 75%

Like I said it’s basically the same story but they did change a couple of things. It’s not something I would complain about though because it’s still a fantastic show. The show and the book are both wonderful stories that play out so well. I can not stresses this enough guys just please watch this show. It’s so great!

Rating: +A for being amazing and scary just like the book

I enjoyed this show and I would recommend that everyone who likes the book to go and watch it because you will enjoy it. Have you guys watched this show? What did you think of it? Did you like or did you hate it? Let me know! I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to look out for more coming your way. You should follow my book club here and other social media links.
