Gilmore Girls Book Tag!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m doing a very interesting and hopefully book tag which is the Gilmore Girls book tag! If you don’t know what Gilmore Girls is, it is a show about a mother and daughter and it is my favorite show and the revival came out and I have a review for that here. I’m rewatching the show and I really want to this tag because it sounds so much fun!

Let’s began!

A character with a witty or sarcastic sense of humor

Lorelai is my favorite character on this show, she is the heart of the show and the woman I want to be. I love characters that are sarcastic because I’m sarcastic as hell so I have a lot of characters to chose from but I think I’ll go with Mat Cauthon from the Wheel of Time series.

If you don’t know what the Wheel of Time series is, it is a cool fantasy series that I love. I have a review for the series here and a post on why you should read the series here. Mat is my favorite character in the series and I love him. He is so funny and he is always making jokes and being a great character. Like during that last book everything is so emotional and he is just there being Mat and I loved it so much!

Your favorite classic book

Oh Rory look how young you are. I miss young Rory. She is so innocent and lovely, I mean I love her later on but not as much as I loved her in the earlier season. I don’t read a lot of classics but I’ve been trying to read more this year and I’ve been doing a pretty good job with that. But my favorite classic is To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

This book is amazing and I loved it. It is so inspirational and I love it and everyone should read it and lets just pretend that the sequel didn’t happen because I don’t want to believe any of that would ever be possible. No spoilers though.

A book you secretly love, but are afraid to admit

I love Luke and I love him with Lorelai. He is my favorite! A book that I love and that I’m afraid to admit is any romance book out there in the world because most of them are so bad and have like unhealthy relationships. If I had to pick one, I would pick Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

I guess my feelings for Twilight aren’t hidden as I have a fanfiction called Skyfall. I still like it though, I just don’t want to talk about it a lot because again the relationship isn’t the healthy for this book but I just like books are easy to read.

A Musical Character

Lane was a great friend to Rory and even though I’m probably the only one but I loved her and Zach together. I mean I did love her and Dave but he left so I couldn’t love them a lot. There aren’t a lot of characters that do music that I recall at the moment but I’m just going to go with my favorite shadow hunter Jem Carstairs!

My violin playing angel! I love you so much Jem. You are my angel. If you guys haven’t read the Infernal Devices, you totally should because it’s amazing! Jem is my husband next to Will of course. I have a review of this series here. Go read this book and if you have then what do you think of Jem!

A book you’ve devoured

Sooki is such a great friend to Lorelai and she and Jackson are so cute! Melissa McCarthy did such a good job playing this character. Oh where do I began! I’ve read so many books that I’ve devoured I don’t even know where to start! Let’s go with much recently so you probably know what book it’s going to be. It’s Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare!

I don’t know when this is coming out but I do have a review for it, I just don’t know if it’s out right now or not. Whatever so if it is then just go to categories and go to Mortal Instruments part. Or just go to recent posts. Back to the point, there is only one word of this book and it is SHOOK!!! I had so much fun reading this book when it wasn’t making me cry for all my feelings!

Your first book love

Oh Dean. Your character was destroyed and it shouldn’t have. But how about that young Jared Padalecki? Isn’t he cute? And if you are like me and you watched Supernatural before watching Gilmore Girls and you didn’t freak out when you saw him and laughed your ass off when you found out his name was DEAN!!!! Okay back to the question, I want to go with Harry Potter but it wasn’t my first love, it’s just my longest love. So I’m going to go with the 39 Clues by a lot of authors.

I have a whole post talking about how young gigi was hella in love with these books and she still holds a torch for them which you can read here. They used to be really be like these intense books for me but now I just find them fun which should just matter.

A book that you love, that gets the most hate

This asshole. I don’t care if you like, this is my opinion. He treated Rory badly, he treated Lorelai badly, and he treated Luke, the guy that saw the best in him when no one else did, badly. I don’t like that trope where girls fall for guys that complete assholes. A book that I love that gets the most hate is probably any fantasy book because with fantasy it’s either you like them or you hate them there is no in between. For this I’m going with The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare.

*i really love these version of the covers

I have a review for every single one of these books and again if you want to read them then again go back to The Mortal Instruments category and just go from. This is a series that doesn’t really get great until book three which I was willing to push through all of it but a lot of people aren’t which I think is a mistake! Just push through! Do it! And if you can’t get through Mortal Instruments then I would move to the Infernal Devices it seems like a better move.

Miss Patty

A book that was ruined by the hype

I don’t know why this was her question. But a lot of books I read are over hyped, I don’t know how it keeps happening but it does. You probably know what book I’m going to pick but here it is, I’m picking Divergent by Veronica Roth.

I have a review for this book here that should explain how I feel about this book. I’m like so done explaining why I don’t like it. Just go read the review.

An expensive book

Emily is great character and sometimes she can be unfair and sometimes she can be treated unfairly but she does love her family. I don’t spend a lot of money on books because I normally don’t have any money to spend on expensive books. But here an expensive book that I brought I mean I got it for less than the original price and it was a present but it still a lot. That book was the Wheel of Time Companion by Robert Jordan and a lot of people.

It was 26 dollars which isn’t a lot and I got it on Kindle but the hardcover is forty bucks so that’s why it took me forever to buy. I stilled loved this book though it was a lot of fun.

An Uptight Character

I love Paris so much. She was amazing and she can be a little crazy at times but I have so much fun watching her go through life with Rory and Doyle. So an uptight character I’m going to pick is a character that has grown a lot since the first book but he was really uptight when we first met him. If you haven’t guessed it my boo Alec Lightwood from the Mortal Instruments.

Like I said he has grown a lot since City of Bones and has become a master of sass and I love him and I love Malec and I love the fact he has kids now but in the beginning of the Mortal Instruments he was so uptight and rule crazy. I still loved him then but not as much as I did now.

That is it for the Gilmore Girls book tag! I had fun doing this and I can’t help but wonder why there isn’t a Richard or Logan or Mrs. Kim question. I tag you all to do this tag and I hope that you have fun doing it. It summer so I’m hopefully going to get a lot of reading done and then I’ll do my summer reads list like I did last year. I post review, rants, and other stuff one this blog once every weeks. Like, Comment, and follow for more rants like these! The Candy Book Tag!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m doing the Candy Book Tag! I saw meltingpotsandothercalamities *it’s a really cool blog check it out do this and I thought that it was pretty funny and interesting and I decide to do it. Let’s began!

Ah. Healthy food. It is deep, meaningful, and probably won a lot of awards but, um, it really isn’t your thing.

Basically any classics. Look I get that classic books were the ones that started the book lovers and a lot of people love them but I can never get into them. I’ve read a lot of classics that people love like 1984, Dracula, and even the Once and Future King and I can’t get into them at all. I get that they are all probably great to some people but I just don’t see how.

Milk Chocolate

milk chocolate blocks

This is a book you’d recommend to absolutely EVERYONE.

What don’t a recommend? I recommend books that I think are worth people’s time. A book or a series that I have been recommending a lot lately is the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan.

I just started rereading this books and every Percy and Annabeth scene I’m just like screaming inside because they are so young and in love! These books are just the funniest and greatest things I’ve ever read! If you haven’t read these books then I highly recommend them. Don’t watch those movies though. Just don’t!

Black Jellybeans

Why do these exist??

First off, I didn’t even know that these were even a thing. What the hell? What flavor even is that? Well I have some books that I like shouldn’t exist *cough fifty shades cough* but I’m going with The Girl Online books by Zoe Sugg.

I have reviews for Girl Online and Girl Online: On Tour and I have talked about how I feel about them a lot and I don’t love these books. They are just the worst and she keeps writing them or maybe someone else is writing them and she is just taking the credit for them because it was announced that the first book was ghost written but nothing has been said about the other two. These books have characters who never get good development and whatever they get development somewhere in the book it’s just forgot and they return to the way they were. I wish these books just went away. I haven’t read the last one and I’m not looking forward to it.

Chocolate Kisses

Awww this novel had the best romance.

I really hate questions like these because I can’t ever decide. I have too many ships and too many loves to decide but for the first time I’m actually going to pick a couple. This is a couple that has known each other since they were twelve years old and have saved the world so many times. They are so perfect for each other and they have a very heathy relationship. If you haven’t guessed yet it’s Percy and Annabeth from the Percy Jackson series.

Like I said I’m rereading these books and I’m just remind about how cute and perfect their relationship is. I know that they are a lot of other couples that have great romances in books and I very each love those books. But these guys are perfect!

Gummy Spiders

Eek! You made sure to check under your bed every night for a week after reading this scary one.

I don’t watch scary things or read them because I know how I’m going to end for me so yeah I don’t have answer for this one.

Jumbo Lollipop

This took you forever to get through, but hey! You did it!

This is easy. A book that took me forever was The Wheel of Time Companion.

This books took me a whole month to finish and I loved it. It was so worth it!

Cotton Candy

Admit it, you loved this when you were younger (you probably still do). Think children’s or MG fiction.

Again another easy one. A series I loved when I was kid and still do is the 39 Clues series by a lot of authors.

I have a post talking about this series which you can read here. This series was so much fun to read as a kid and every once and while I go back and read one of the books and it’s like nostalgia! I just always have a great time reading these books.

That was fun! Thank guys for reading tag! It was much fun. I’m spring break right now and I’m hoping to get a lot done. I’m tagging you guys to do this if you guys want to do. I post review, rants, and other stuff one this blog once every weeks. Like, Comment, and follow for more rants like these! Also make sure to follow my social media links.

MY EMOTIONS! | History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera review

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera!

Rating: + A: Perfect book with get characters and fantastic plot line.

Every universe I’ve created lately, your face keeps popping up in it. And I thought that if you can’t be cool with that, then I wouldn’t hate you, but I might need some time for myself until we’ve had enough distance that I can imagine made-up worlds without you automatically appearing.”

This book was one that I knew that I had to read because it was one that had all this stuff around. Like everyone was reading it and booktubers were meeting the author who seems pretty cool and very funny. Luckily for me I was able to get this book at my library because I spent all my money on books and pop tarts. I read this book in one day and that day was Valentine’s day *this is being write in the past and let me just say that this book, History is All You Left Me, BROKE MY FUCKING HEART!!

The emotions I had during this book were insane like just crazy. Literally trying not to cry was like a workout *I mean I still cry a little because like i said it broke my fucking heart. This book follows a boy named Griffin and his exboyfriend Theo has just died and he is going through a hard time. He and Theo had broken up but he had sort of always hoped that he and Theo would just come back together. He starts talking to Theo’s boyfriend Jackson and they start bonding and shit happens.

I knew that this book was going to be sad, I mean just read the description but what makes it even more heart breaking is that it’s in two points of view from the past with Griffin and Theo’s relationship and the aftermath of Theo’s death. You see their friendship from when they were young and then all these other milestones and it’s heartbreaking because the more you read about their past the more you learn in the future and more stuff happens in the future and I’m just like crying.

I was in love and love died and the pain you’ve left isn’t pain I can see myself having the strength to face again.”

This book had me on my toes because I thought I knew what was going to happen but then turns out not to happen and something completely else happens. Like in the beginning we met Wade who was friends with Theo and Griffin and we met him at Theo’s funeral and Griffin says something about how they used to be friends. My first thought was that maybe he had a bad reaction to finding out about their relationship but no that’s not what happened. He is pretty calm with finding out the only thing he says is that he doesn’t want to be a third wheel and then I’m thinking that must happen.

No that’s not what happens. After Theo and Griffin break up and Theo starts seeing Jackson and Griffin gets jealous, Wade tells him that he needs someone who he won’t be chasing afterwards and then they have sex. They continue having sex and Wade has feeling for Griffin and Griffin decides that he will finally tell Theo about the fact that the two are sleeping together and then Theo dies. He blames himself and I guess sort of Wade for what happened to Theo and then he distances himself from Wade. But after Griffin comes back from California where he sleeps with Jackson and discovers how he was there that night Theo drowned but he went and got a lifeguard but it was too late. And after Griffin finally gets his shit together he goes and he and Wade talk it out and the book slowly finishes with them rebuilding sort of what their relationship.

One thing I really loved about this book was the characters. I mean like I said Griffin has some issues and in the present point of view but you know his first love died and in the end he gets better. Seeing how much his character changes from the past to the present was a big impact on book because it just shows all the different changes that a person could go through. We didn’t get to that with Jackson but I like him as a character. Thing about Adam Silvera’s characters is that they are very human and you can find this very realistic. I just finished More Happy than Not and I finished it at school and I was just like hyperventilating trying to keep myself from just having a complete break down.

Another thing that just broke my heart was Theo and Griffin relationship in general because they were like seriously in love with each other. I’m not kidding. They came out to each other and then started dating and you go through their whole relationship and even after their break up.

There’s got to be some scientific study somewhere that proves your boyfriend’s sweater will keep you warmer and cure you of any illnesses a lot faster, than some Pottery Barn blanket.”

They were really in love with each other which is seriously heartbreaking because even though they aren’t together they are still chasing after each other. I know that your first love is one that you always remember but you do have to let them. Like even though Theo was with Jackson, he still had Griffin hanging, believing that in the future Theo and him will come back to each other and I’m like no met someone else. We find out that Wade was also was chasing after Griffin a lot.

This book was amazing and if you haven’t read this book or any other books by Adam Silvera then I suggest you go and fix that. You will be left in tears but it will be worth it. I hope you enjoyed this review and are following my book club here and other social media links. I posted rants like this once a week every week. Like, Comment, and follow for more rants like these! Well this was…. something | Children of Eden by Joey Graceffa review

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing Children of Eden by youtuber Joey Graceffa and Laura L. Sullivan and this is also my book of the month for my book club.

Rating: D: Nothing seem to happen. The characters had a bad attitude or were boring until the end. Story didn’t know what it wanted.

But there’s always a price, to every decision.”

I would first like to say that I have nothing against Joey Graceffa or Laura L. Sullivan. I think Joey is a very funny guy, I loved him on the amazing race, he has fabulous hair like it’s so beautiful, and I like some of his songs. Unfortunately I can’t add this book to that list. I had such high hopes for this book. First the storyline sounded new and original dystopian novel about something different the other then the usual storyline. Second look at that cover! It’s gorgeous! Sadly to sad I was disappointed again.

You are probably asking why I read another Youtube book? Well like I said in my review for Girl Online, I wanted to read it because it wasn’t a book about themselves. But I’ve read both books and I didn’t like either of them so maybe I should re visit that. There were a lot of issues with this book but I’m not giving it an F because I enjoyed the beginning of this book but then it went down hill.

This book follows Rowan who is the second child which isn’t allowed in this world with population control. She has been kept hidden in her house while her older brother Ash goes outside and goes to school and does the things she wishes she could do. The people in this universe have like kaleidoscope eyes and after they are born they get surgeries that change their eye to normal since Rowan was like born in secret she has the kaleidoscope eyes. The eyes are cool but they literally have only have one point is that to kept reminding us that she is clearly different from everyone else. After the government people called Green shirts something like that, come to her house and say hey we are going to take your daughter away from you Rowan decides that the only ‘reasonable’ thing to do is to run away in the night *it’s not reasonable I was being sarcastic

She mets up with Ash and her friend and they go out and have fun like teenagers do. I had a problem with this and it was that the summary of this book says that it follows Rowan after she escapes from the house but this doesn’t even last the whole book. She goes out, hangs out with her brother’s friends and then kisses a girl who she just met I think. Then she goes home! I’m just like bitch why did you go home they are going to take you away! Her mother finds her in her room and tells her hey we have to go then they have a whole conversation about Rowan is different again. Then they run away and her mom dies. She mets a squad of people who don’t like the government and they are like hey come us and then after that it’s just really really cliche.

The main issue I have with this book is that it wants to do too many things and it’s not a series * hey G from the Future so this is in a series and it’s a part of a trilogy which i didn’t know when i wrote this and it’s not even 300 pages. This book wants to have a love triangle with a guy and a girl and it wants to do the whole is broken with a fucked up government and it’s tried and escape the government. This book could have the book it wanted to be if it had been longer and written a little better. We could have gotten more plot and character development if it had been longer. I mean if it turns out to be a part of a series then that’s good maybe we can get more but it still doesn’t really fix anything. The whole story is rushed and very boring. It should have been a bigger book and maybe I would have liked it better. It definitely would have been better.

I did mention that there was a love triangle in this and it involves a girl and a guy. In the beginning of the book where she runs away and meets her brother’s friends and one of them is a girl named Lark. They kiss which is like really really rushed because they met a couple hours before and then she goes home then her mom run away then her mom gets shot and dies and then she mets a group of people who help people like her and she mets this guy who is like the leader and I can’t remember what his name only that it starts with an L so both love interests have names that start with the letter L.

I’m going be honest I don’t remember how is book end. I stopped caring. This book is just really boring with characters I didn’t like or find likable. I don’t know if they escaped the city of Eden or if she helped her brother because their dad gave the order to take him away.  I don’t remember and I don’t really give a shit. This book starts off pretty good but then it falls down. I wouldn’t recommend this book. If you want to read this book then go a head, you may like it who knows.

We all have different opinions in this world which is one of the reasons why America is becoming a dystopian society *I’m sorry that is the only time I’ll ever talk about what is happening in the world. I hope you enjoyed this review and are following my book club here and other social media links. This is just okay | Divergent by Veronica Roth review

Greetings everyone! Today I’m reviewing Divergent by Veronica Roth!

Rating: -C: Was expecting more than I got. Characters didn’t get any development until halfway.

Becoming fearless isn’t the point. That’s impossible. It’s learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.”

You all know about this book. You have either read it or saw the crappy movies or you have at least heard of it. This is a popular book in a popular genre that everybody knows about and in 2014 they decide to make films that tried to be like the Hunger Games Films *which didn’t work out. I first found about Divergent from my mom who heard about from my aunt. We brought the first book and I couldn’t get into. Then about a year earlier some my friends had read all the books and they really liked it so I decide to give another try and I still couldn’t get into. Then the film came out and I find again and then a couple more times after that then I got spoiled for the Allegiant, gave up and now I have finally finished it *yay!

I’ve talked about how I’ve think is book is overhyped before and even though I have now read I still really think that. Everyone always talks about how great this book is but I don’t really think that. I understand how everyone can think that and I understand why people hate this book and I’m kind of in the middle. I think that this is book with an okay characters and a storyline that doesn’t really go any where until the last 100 pages.

This book follows Beatrice or Tris as she calls herself later Prior who lives in a dystopian society where everyone is put into different factions. There are four factions which are Abnegation who are the selfless people / the group that everyone makes fun of, Dauntless who are the brave people / soldiers, Erudite who are the smart people / the people who want to rule, Amity who are the peaceful people / hippies, Candor who are the honest fucks that you want to punch in face, and the factionless who are the homeless. When the kids in this society turn sixteen, they have to take a test which decides what faction you will be apart of.

Tris is apart of the Abnegation where she lived with her brother and her parents and because she is in Abnegation people in the different factions like Candor say horrible things about her factions and make of her. She goes to take the test and finds that she doesn’t really fit any of the factions and is this thing called Divergent and the people that rule the government don’t like those people so she is told to lie about her test. Then at the Ceremony where she has to pick what faction she wants, she choices Dauntless and has to try and be strong woman.

It’s a really cliche story that I have read before. Let’s listen them!

  • Story follows a character who is kind of weak and has lived her life following the rules but still doesn’t really fit in.
  • Character finds out one day that they are different from everyone else and is in danger.
  • Character goes to a place that is a little dangerous but safe and has cool people that character befriends but also some dickheads that become the character’s enemy.
  • Character meets a dark and mysterious kind of mean character that is really hot and deep down a giant sweetheart and starts having feelings for them
  • Character slowly grows stronger as they stay and some of character’s friends slowly turn on them.
  • Bad people slowly realize what’s happening and began to take action which leads them to discover the character
  • Character and bad guys fight and character loses people that they love
  • Character and mean hottie escape along with others and the books ends on something beautiful metaphor.

There are probably more but these were some of the ones that were more noticeable. I’ve read most of those cliches over and over again. I look I’m not saying that I didn’t like this book because it’s very cliche, a book can have a lot of cliches and still be good but for that to happen something new has to be brought to the table along with good characters. Nothing really seemed new I mean we have bad guy who goes by the name Jeanine and she isn’t really a ruler but yet she still has power so that’s new. I like the message of the story  which is different from most dystopian book so that’s different but other then that there isn’t a lot here.

Tris is an okay female lead. She wasn’t terrible but she isn’t the best. She complains a lot which really annoys me but what I did like is how she showed everyone who thought she was going to be weak and was the first to leave Dauntless but she proved everyone wrong and I thought that it was pretty cool. She also kind of seems to care too much of what people think of her which is what I thought but she seemed to grow out of that after she finally realized hey I’m divergent I don’t have to prove anything. I didn’t total hate her friends they were cool but they just seemed be there for no reason.

Now Four I have also been really attractive to Tobias and I knew that I was like the guy who acts like a douche but is really a giant sweet heart and I loved him. He was like me favorite part of this whole book. He knows about Tris and he really cares about and he does so much to keep her safe. I love him. He is the best.

I have something I need to tell you,” he says. I run my fingers along the tendons in his hands and look back at him. “I might be in love with you.” He smiles a little. “I’m waiting until I’m sure to tell you, though.”
“That’s sensible of you,” I say, smiling too. “We should find some paper so you can make a list or a chart or something.”
I feel his laughter against my side, his nose sliding along my jaw, his lips pressing my ear.
“Maybe I’m already sure,” he says, “and I just don’t want to frighten you.”
I laugh a little. “Then you should know better.”
“Fine,” he says. “Then I love you.”

This book isn’t the best. It’s not the worst but I enjoy it. Will I read Insurgent? Maybe for what I’ve been told the series kind of goes down with the next two books but maybe I’ll get around to it one day. I know for sure I’m never going to watch the movies again or watch that tv movie or show if it ever happens because I’ve seen like all this stuff about Theo James and Shailene Woodley saying that they no longer what to do Divergent stuff. I do want to read Veronica Roth’s new book called Carve the Mark which takes place in this cool space universe and I love space so I hope to get around and reading that book and maybe I will read Insurgent and may like it who knows. I like Veronica’s writing and I’ve seen a interview with her and she seemed really cool.

If you like this book then that is your opinion and I’m glad you enjoy. If you didn’t then that is also your opinion and I hope you have other books that bring enjoy. I hope you enjoyed this review and are following my book club here and other social media links. Romantic and Relatable as hell | A Totally Awkward Love Story by Lucy Ivison and Tom Ellen review

Greetings everyone! Welcome to my first book review of 2017! Today I’m reviewing A Totally Awkward Love Story by Lucy Ivison and Tom Ellen!

Rating: -A: Good book with characters that got better and a slow plot line

This wasn’t the first book that I picked up and read this year but it was one that I felt so strongly about that I had to review it. Also this book is also called Lobsters by the way and I didn’t figure that out until I went on Facebook and it was just like ‘you are currently reading Lobsters’ and I was just like what the hell. This book follows Hannah who is trying to find the one before she leaves for college and then her and Sam met which is followed by a lot of awkward events. They are both trying to loss their virginities which just adds on to the awkwardness.

Honestly I don’t really know what made me want to get this book but I remember seeing this book at the store and just being like I have to have it. Maybe it’s because it’s called A Totally Awkward Love Story and I thought that the title was just so funny or the cover just being so cute. I don’t read a lot of romance because they are just the same story over and over again. Girl and guy meet, one as a dramatic past that makes the character has issues and the other is just a major cinnamon roll, cinnamon roll characters decides that their lives now revolve around the other even though the dramatic character has hurt them  because they thought it was the ‘right thing’ or some other bullshit reason but in the end they still get together.

It’s the same goddamn story every time!

But this story was different in some ways. The characters are relatable and so is the storyline like I could totally see people going through because it’s really awkward like the kind of awkward that you can relate to in way that you wish you didn’t know how they felt. The characters feel really real which is always great in romance novels. I love the relationship between Sam and Hannah it wasn’t the best but to be honest they were really cute. They just seemed to get each other and I hated moments when they weren’t together  it’s like hey you two are meant for each other just be together!

Hannah and Sam are such fun characters with crazy unique storylines that are really awkward at the same time. Both storylines are about the fact that they really are the best for each other but they kept getting separated and being with the wrong people and dealing with their friends. Like seriously they kept getting with the wrong people. Sam gets with this girl at one point and man that was so awkward. I read that scene in class and I was just cringing. Oh man that was just wow…. that was just so awkward.

This book can get really be graphic during some scene with hand jobs and sex. Also there is a lot of sex talk during this book. Which is expected mainly because its about two people trying to lose their virginities but in most young adult books don’t go as graphic is this book. It could be really cringey at sometimes.

As much I as I did love this book, I did have some issues with this book one of them being cheating. I have a lot of ships and most writers love to give those ships issues and an issue they usually throw out the characters is making them have a fight and cheat on each other. I don’t like cheating and I hate when it is throw into a story with characters that I really like and enjoy. Sam and Hannah’s relationship isn’t perfect in this story which I guess is realistic but after Sam gets the wrong impression with Hannah and other guy named Paz and he doesn’t make the right decision when he needs to handle it and Sam goes and cheats on Hannah with a girl he doesn’t even know that well.

I was so mad when that happened I was just like you little shit how could you ruin this! Hannah thought that they were like Lobsters and where meant to be together and then she goes outside and sees Sam the guy she has spent the whole fucking book waiting for making out some other girl. It just makes me so mad! Also two of Hannah’s friends cheat on their boyfriends so there was a fair about of cheating.

Another issue I had was Hannah’s relationship with her friend Stella. Stella is one of those girls who think that they are all that, put themselves first, and sometimes don’t really care about all of their friends and sometimes they do. I have always been in the Hannah in friendships like that where I feel like I can never be honest with them because it could ruin the friendship. I just hated reading about their friendship because it made me so mad. Hannah kept letting Stella walk over her and I get that but it made me mad because it felt like I was reliving those awful friendships. When Hannah finally told off Stella I was just like hells yeah you go girl!

This book beside it’s issues was a lot of fun to read. It had great characters who got great development and went through so things that were really awkward and really relatable. I had some much fun reading this book. Have you guys read this book? The Pokémon Go Book Tag!

Greetings everyone! Today I’m doing the Pokemon Go book tag!

I get that Pokemon isn’t really in anymore and I’m not a huge Pokemon fan but hey this tag seems like a lot of fun so I’m doing it.

Let’s begin!

For this I’m going to have to pick the series that kick started my fangirl heart which is the the 39 clues series *read my review here.

I do have to give the Emily Windsnap series, A to Z Mysteries, and When You Reach Me honorable mentions because they also help start the book inch but the 39 Clues is like the first series that I completely fangirl over. Fun fact, my mom bought this book for my old sister but I was the one who read the book after I stole it.

For this I’m picking two books which are To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee and Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling.

To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the best classics of all time and you know any one of the five  classics I’ve read. Harry Potter is sooooooooooo ionic and one of all time favorite books and movies. It got me through a part in my life that wasn’t so bright and colorfully and I will forever be thankful.

I’m picking a book that I loved when I first read but after four movies and a really giant hype over these books I’m kind of over them. This series is the Hunger Game by Suzanne Collins.

I loved this series but like I said four movies and soo make hyde that I get stand this series any more. I know it’s a great series but I’m just over it.

I’m going to pick Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.

There are things this series that aren’t totally original but hell I love these books. They are just so fast pace and intense and I think that they are just the best! I still love them. I don’t really see any of the comparisons but apparently they are there. Frankly I don’t care so. If a story is good.

The size of the books never really bother me. I mean I’ve read Game of Thrones series and the Wheel of Time series. In fact when I see a giant book, I think I start floating towards it. There is a book though and that book is War and Peace. I’m mainly not going to read it  because I don’t read classic but whenever I read small classics the seem longer so reading that book would feel like to would be forever!

I have a book from the list about books that have kept me up and that is the beautiful, heart breaking, book that made me unstable called A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson *read review for series here and another post talking about this series here.

I’ve told this story before and I’m telling it again. I was reading the last battle at a track meet and I was trying to stay calm because no one wants to see a girl cry at a track meet. It was so hard though because every time I turned the page someone died and it was painful! I closed the book because I had to run and then I got home at like 11:00 and stayed late just so I could finished it! Then I cried because I finished the best series ever.

I have too many to pick so I’ll just pick my obsessions which are Dorian and Celaena  from Throne of Glass, Rhysand and Feyre from A Court of Thorns and Roses, Alec and Magnus from Mortal Instruments, Rand and Aviendha, Min Farshaw, and Elayne Trakand from Wheel of Time, and Percy and Annabeth from Percy Jackson.

I’m picking Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas.

I have a review for this book here which you should totally check out here. This book is the best in the series and man it’s great. It’s got fairies, it’s got love, it’s got betrayal, it’s got a lot of character development. It’s everything you want from a great book. You should totally read this series because it’s so great.

The Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare, and the Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare, and the Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare because they are all so great. I have a review for Lady Midnight here but I’m rereading the other books and will have reviews for the other books up soon.

I’ve picked a book I just got the other day that everyone is talking about and I can’t wait to read and that book is Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake.

This book sounds so cool and fantastic. It’s about three girls who are princess and have powers and they must fight for the throne. Only one girl can be queen. I have been avoiding spoilers and any reviews on this book so that I can just read in peace because that is all I want.

I’m picking the Mortal Instruments again because the reason it took me so long to read was because my mom told me that it wasn’t a good series but I loved it.

I just want all the leather bound editions of the Wheel of Time books because they are so pretty! Look at them!

SO BEAUTIFUL!! I went to Barnes and Noble to go stare at them and to my disappointment they weren’t there.

I don’t know if this is her first novel but according goodreads it is so I’m picking Trapped in Silver by Emily Sowden.

I’m so looking forward for this book and it comes out next year in February and yes it is a OfTomes book because I’m like so obsessed with OfTomes books. It’s not my fault they keep publishing more great books.

Right now that is Sarah J. Maas author of Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses.

I’m waiting for Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare, the six and finale book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, and Winds of Winter by George R.R. Martin *seriously it’s been six years man.

That was fun! Thank guys for reading tag! It was much fun. I’ve been posting a lot lately how long do you think that will last? I’m tagging you guys to do this if you guys want to do. I post review, rants, and other stuff one this blog once every weeks. Like, Comment, and follow for more rants like these! Also make sure to follow my social media links.

Where is book number two? | Initiate by Laura L. Fox

Greetings everyone! Today I’m reviewing Initiate by Laura L. Fox the first book in new trilogy.

Rating: + A: Perfect book with get characters and fantastic plot line

This book is another book that is being published by the OfTomes company and I was so excited to get my hands on this treasure. One of reasons I wanted to read this book was because of the cover. If you don’t know OfTomes then go to their website and just go stare at their book covers because all of them are flawless.

Look at that cover though! It just makes you think what is happening? What is on the other side of that window or wall thing? Are there aliens on the other side of that because I saw something like that on Falling Skies? That color blue is just great.

This book follows a girl named Riga who lives in this place called the Tunnels which is under the Arctic ice. It were most of the humans live because the earth well the earth has gone to sh*t. One day she and her friend see a whale when they are looking through window then sudden stuff starts happening! This story just is fantastic! One of the reasons I love this book was it evolved. It started out as just a story about a girl and she discover all this crazy and it so great!

I loved Riga as lead. She was great because no matter what was people tell or what the hell she goes through, Riga goes after the answer she wants. I mean so much stuff happens to her. Her best friend gets beat up because they were getting to close to finding stuff out. Her mom turns her in to the government  and she is given a freaking tracker and is sort of torture but it’s crazy.

I love Rhys! He is just the best and he says my favorite line.

Strawberry Marga-Riga!”

It’s a random line but it makes me smile.

I didn’t ship it at first but then when they started working together and helping each other out and I was like YAS! Honestly when he was first introduced the way her friend Mynta talked about him I was like is this going to like be some weird love triangle but it wasn’t and everything was all good. Her friend was a fun character and enjoyed her a lot and when she is first introduced she is just talking about knitting socks. It’s great! The only problem was that she wasn’t  in the story that much and I get why she wasn’t because her and Riga had a falling out of sorts.

In most books like these where it turns out that the government is controlling everything, you have to ask yourself do you want to live in this place? And the answer I have for this book *and very dystopia book ever is no! I couldn’t live in an underground society. I would just go crazy. And it’s under Antarctica even if they had heating, I would still somehow be cold!

There is this cool ski thing that they did in the beginning and it’s crazy and it’s sound fun and seriously dangerous because when Riga is describing it, she just mentions that people have die and there is an age limit because people have die. I probably wouldn’t have gone on it but I would watched other do it.

The end of the book is crazy like so Rhys and Riga are rebelling and are trying to get out. They are fighting a lot of government works and it’s so intense because I was scared that one of them was going to die. No one does though so it’s all fine but Rhys and Riga run out into the cold and the book ends. I need book two! I need the whole freaking trilogy like right now!

Initiate is so great! I think that everyone should buy this book when it comes out November 2, 2016. Just go and preorder the book first now! It’s fun, intense, and one hell of a read. Do you guys want to read this book? If you have read this book what did you think?  I hope you enjoy this rant! I post once a week every week. Like, Comment, and follow for more rants like these! So thrilling its a roller coaster! | Gilt Hollow by Lorie Langdon review

Hello Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing Gilt Hollow by one of my favs Lorie Langdon!!

Rating: + A: Perfect book with get characters and fantastic plot line.

If you didn’t know already *but you should know already but Lorie Langdon wrote one of my favorite series along with Carey Corp. It’s called Doon and I recently wrote a review for that check it out here. But that’s not what we are talking about today, we are talking the emotional thrill ride that Gilt Hollow. This is also her first solo book and it was freaking awesome!

So I saw the cover of this book on Lorie’s Instagram and I was like whoa…. That looks cool and then literally the next week later I go to ALA and there’s Lorie Langdon at panel with a bunch of other authors and she is signing copies of Gilt Hollow. And I got it! SIGNED!!!

This story is about this girl named Willow and she had this best friend named Ashton who was sent to prison because for a murder that happened to a guy named Daniel and he was found guilty. He claims that he didn’t do it and she believed him. Then years go by and Ashton is let out of prison and he wants to know who set him up.

I loved this book so much more then I thought I would. I’m not really a big thriller / mystery person but this book was amazing!

Willow was a great lead and Ashton deserved to be treated better then he is treated because so many character in this book besides Willow treat him so badly. They famed him for stuff to get him trouble. They bully him and they say rude stuff about but he is a nice guy!

Willow is probably the nicest person in this town because no matter what people tell her she stays by Ashton and treats him nicely. I mean it does take a while for their friendship to get back on track because you know the whole going to jail thing for murder. But they make it through.

Also I didn’t expect to ship Ashton and Willow has much as I did. I mean I was reading this book and when it wasn’t talking about the mystery of it all, the scenes with Ashton and Willow were so great. I loved them so much! I mean they are basically a more interesting version of the couple from the Notebook. Seriously Willow wrote Ashton letters and he never got because her mother hide them.

I’ve never seen the Notebook. Or read the book. Or any Nicholas Sparks novel. But I’m pretty sure that she sent the guy letters and he never got them because someone hide them.

Still they are like OTP goals. She takes of him and they protect each other and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!

In this story, Willow gets threatening messages telling her to stay away from Ashton or ELSE! And it’s hard to figure out who it because everyone hates Ashton and they keep telling Willow to stay away from him. But she doesn’t and the messages start becoming pictures of her or her family members walking around. Unlike another story which will stay nameless *it was Girl Online: World Tour where a character got messages and we never figured out who did it, we figure out who did it.

Even though I love this book, I was able to call the ending because it was a little predictable. When the real bad guys were introduced, I could kind of feel like they had something to do with the whole thing. Then I just thought they were bullies and then I thought wow these guys are just awful but then I thought wow these guys totally did it. And I was right! *it was Daniel brother Colin!

Other then that this book was the best and when this book comes out, you guys should buy it and the Doon series because Lorie Langdon’s book are just great! I love this book so much and everyone should read it! I hope you enjoyed this review! Comment, like, and follow for more rants like this.
