Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing The Last Summer of the Garrett Girls by Jessica Spotswood!

-B: Could has better and was too slow and only got good at the end

I got this book from Netgalley and this book comes out on June 5, 2018. This book follows four sisters who are trying to get through the summer and it has been described as Gilmore Girls meets Little Woman. I wasn’t excited to read this but I was interested in reading because it sounded cute and I only have sisters so whenever I watch or read something about siblings I just love it so I decided to request this book. I honestly won’t say that I loved this book but that I loved some of the moments in this book.

I really enjoyed the first part of this book but then the second part of this book wasn’t great. I thought that there would be more sister bonding and it was more like sisters and their love interests. They did have some good moments but I felt like they were more towards the end. I think that Des was my favorite. I don’t know I felt like with her story I was more present in that one. I did enjoy the other girls but I don’t know I just couldn’t connect with them that much. This book is like a Sarah Dessen book and I don’t know I can’t ever connect to the story with her books. They are written the same way and I couldn’t really connect with the characters. I felt like I barely knew them and their grandmother which sucked because I really wanted to.

I did like how diverse the story is. One of the love interests was bisexual and one of the girls is into other girls. I wish that thing with Paige had worked better because I liked her and her relationship with Des. I didn’t enjoy Bea’s storyline that much. I don’t know she reminded me of Rory with Jess and I just couldn’t get into. I do like the scene at the end where the girls all talk to the other and it was a really nice scene. This is a great summer read and it has some good messages in it. If you like Sarah Dessen and Gilmore Girls then I recommend that you read it.

Have you guys read this book? If you have what did you think? Did you like it? I hope you guys liked because I thought it was great. Unpopular Opinions Book Tag!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m doing the Unpopular Opinions Book Tag! Before we began just a reminder these are my opinions and I’m not trying to offend anyone. I’m sorry! I haven’t done a tag in a while so let’s began!

#1: A popular book or series that everyone loves but you

There is a lot I could put for this question like Divergent, Little Monsters, 13 Reasons Why but I think I have to go with Six of Crows and Shadow and Bone.

……. I’M SORRY! I really want to love these books and I don’t hate them, I just don’t love them as much as the rest of the world does. I liked Shadow and Bone but I didn’t like the rest of the books so that me made change my opinion on how I feel about the series as a whole and I’ve tried so many times to read Six of Crows and I always come out not as in love with it as the rest of the world is. I don’t know! Maybe I should listen to the audiobook because I’ve heard good things about that.

#2: A book or series that you love but everyone else hates

This should be easy to guess but I’m going with Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard!

23174274

I loved this book! My Aunt got me this an arc of this book so I got to read it before everyone else did and I loved it! I thought that this was so much better then the first book and then everyone else read this book and they all didn’t like. They liked it but they thought the first book was so much better. I don’t know.

#3: A book with a love triangle and the protagonist ends up with the wrong person

*SPOILERS! This is one is very easy as I was so upset by this that I started crying. My pick for this question is Conrad and Belly in We Will Always Have Summer by Jenny Han!

8680278.jpg

I really enjoyed books one and two in this trilogy but then book three comes along and I really hate these books now because of what she did in book three. I hate Conrad, he is such an ass and treats Belly like she is nothing and abandons her. He is the worst. Jeremiah on the other hand was great. He treated her right, he respected her, he was just the better choice in my opinion. The second book ends with them getting together and in the third book Jenny Han destroys his character just to make Conrad look better and so Belly GETS WITH HIM!!!! I was so mad I just started crying because I hated Conrad so fucking much! I really want to pretend like this book doesn’t exist.

#4: A popular author you just can’t get into

I try to give everyone a chance but an author I’ve given like three chances to is Sarah Dessen. I’ve read third of her books and I can’t remember any of them. They all seem interesting and deep but in reality they are these fluff pieces that are like Hallmark movies and I just don’t like them. Everyone loves her though and I’m just like is there a book by her that is amazing? It’s not the three books I’ve read by her.

#5: A genre that you rarely reach for

In this order sci-fi, romance books, and dystopian. I want to read more sci- fi I just don’t know where to start. Romance books have honestly just become the same and I can’t get into them. They are the worst. Dystopian novels are okay I honestly just feel like it was a phase in time that’s over now. Also they all started to feel the same.

#6: A book character that everyone loves but you can’t stand

I’m going with Jacob Black from Twilight and Chaol from Throne of Glass!

They are both so annoying and they are the worst and I just want them to both go away! Chaol is rude and the worse and I don’t know why everyone likes him. How can you like him when you have someone like Dorian in the picture? How? Jacob is just so annoying. People say he is better for Bella but he is just as worse. He is just like ‘Bella why are hanging out with Edward!’ ‘Bella why don’t you love me?’ ‘Bella stop dating him!’ and I’m like shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up!

#7: A trope you are tired of seeing

I want to say love triangles because they are the worst but since everyone has probably said that I’m going with is douchebag with a heart of gold or abusive relationships being marked as romantic and real. Basically a bad boy character who treats the main lead like shit and is controlling and gets jealous but then they are secretly deep and kind and everyone loves him. I hate this trope. So much. Ladies if a guy treats you terribly and gets jealous a lot it’s not a healthy relationship! Can’t we just have a nice boy be our love interest? Honorable mentions for this questions are slut shaming, siblings sleeping together, underage drinking, and the chosen one.

#8: A popular series you have no interest in reading

I give everything a chance but a book that I started and won’t finish it or the series is the Bone Season by Samantha Shannon!

tumblr_okpc9oVbum1s2msv3o1_500

Okay I did give this a try but unfortunately the setting of this book was the something that caused me to stop. It is in just something I couldn’t get by which kind of upsetting because the world sounds cool. People have also gone and said that the setting where this book takes place is also something that is a negative for them. Also in the parts that I have read, it did some think the main girl was going to have a unhealthy relationship which I did not want. If you want to read this book I won’t stop you.

#9: The say goes “The book is better then the movie”, but what movie or TV do you think is better then the book?

It took me while to pick out one but I then I remember one of my favorite movie is based off a book and that is Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist!

MPW-56702.jpg

Honorable mention is Ballet Shoes. I do love this book but I just connected with this movie more then I did with the book. The movie is a lot more funny and it handed the humor and storylines a little better then the book did. I was just more entertained by this movie more then book which is sad because David Levithan co wrote the book and I love him, he is my favorite author.

#10: A book adaption that everyone loves but you

I made this question up because I wanted to do it. It sort of goes with this tag so just stick with me right now. I have two choices for this one and I bet you can guess which one of them is. I’m going with Twilight and Thirteen Reasons Why!

Everyone loves this adaption and I just don’t. I have a whole review for 13 Reasons Why talking about why I hated it so you can read that here and I was going to do a review talking about the Twilight film but then WordPress like deleted it and I got lazy and decided not to rewrite. They are both so bad in different ways. 13 Reasons Why deals with hard topic but it deals with it in the wrong ways and it’s all over the place. Twilight is badly acted, the effects are really bad, and they made the characters so awkward. I just don’t like them. I’m sorry if you like them.

That was the Unpopular opinions book tag! I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings! These are just my opinions! I tag you guys to do this if you want to! I also I tag Maxxesbooktopia, the Past Due Review, and meltingpots. More reviews and other fun things are coming out soon so look out for that! The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas review!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing the Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas!

the-assassins-blade

+B: Had a weird pace and took me a while to like the characters.

“If you can learn to endure pain, you can survive anything. Some people learn to embrace it- to love it. Some endure it through drowning it in sorrow, or by making themselves forget. Others turn it into anger.”

Remember how I said I was going to do this review in like 2016 while it’s 2018 and I’m now writing this review. I don’t why I haven’t written it before I think it’s because a fine book that I don’t have a lot of opinions and a whole book that is focused a character that I don’t like as much as used isn’t as interesting. Also because of reason that have been pointed out to me that this series kills off POC characters and non straighter characters or puts them in stereotypes. I still like this series but I don’t think my love will be on the same level that it was on before. I case you’re new here I have reviews for all the Throne of Glass books. I have a review Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, and Empire of Storms, Tower of Dawn so if you would like to read one then click on the names of the books or just go look at the Throne of Glass category on the side. I reread this book because Aisha from A Chapter of Aisha is hosting a read along and I’m a part of it and for the month of March this was what we were reading.

Now this book isn’t my favorite in fact that was the reason it took me so long to read it hell just to review it. I just don’t have a lot of thoughts on it. I should have done it when I still liked this series. I mean I still like it but not as much. Weirdly sometimes it was fun reading this book as I was back at the beginning with Celaena and not with Aelin and all the freaky fairy fucking that happens in the later books. Dorian wasn’t in this book so that was sad because if you don’t know I love him. Chaol can choke.

I honestly don’t have many opinions on this book. It’s a prequel and it’s said that you have to read this before you read Queen of Shadows but honestly I don’t really see that as I read this after reading Empire of Storms and I was fine. Have you guys read this book? If you have what did you think? Did you like it? I hope you guys liked because I thought it was great. YOU HAVE TO WATCH STAR VS THE FORCES OF EVIL!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m talking about Star vs. the Forces of Evil!

r_starvstheforcesofevil_hero_359432e3

*i couldn’t find a trailer so here is the opening

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

I don’t know why I’m making this review. I watched Star in Fall of 2017 and I thought about doing a review but I was so stressed around that time that I didn’t do it. But now I’m still a little stressed but less stressed then normal and I’ve been rewatching a couple episodes and I’ve been looking at the summary for episodes of season three and I’m really emotional so we are going to talk about it. I have only have seen season two so I will mainly be talking about those two seasons. I might talk about season three from my nerves to want might happened and from what I’ve heard has happened and how I’m very emotional. I started watching Star because I had just finished Gravity Falls and I wanted something like that because I needed a new show to watch and I remember people had been talking about this show on Tumblr so I decided to start watching and just like Gravity Falls I didn’t expect to love this show as much as I did nor did I expect to make me cry.

Man kid shows are a lot more intense then the shows I watched when I was little. Seriously! So if you don’t know Star Vs the Forces of Evil is a show about a Princess named Star who when she is fourteen is gifted a magical wand that is passed down to the heir of the Thrones and they are always women! Such is so great! It’s like Buffy but with more magic wands and it’s a family thing. After she sets some things on fire, her parents send her to Earth where she can continuing her training cause there is no magic on Earth. On Earth she mets Marco Diaz who she moves in with him and his family and Marco helps her with Earth things while Star gives him what he wanted which was some adventure in his life and together they fight monsters that come after Star so that they can steal her magical wand.

Honestly if you like anime or cartoons or just a fun show that has an impact then I would highly recommend this show. This show has everything you want friendship, strong female characters, a male character who doesn’t suck and is so funny, traveling through dimensions, a super interesting storyline, and from what I know season three gets more intense so enjoy that fun season while it last friends. Star is so funny and adorable and yes she made not understand some things sometimes but she cares so much about her friends and her family so when it comes down to it she will take care of them because she loves them. Marco is such a wonderful friend and one of my favorite characters I love him and will protect him with my life! Also Starco forever. I think that it is for my spoilery free section and if you haven’t watched Star vs the Forces of Evil then you should leave if you don’t want to get spoiled! BYE!

SPOILERS

I said it before I never expect to love this show as much as I do. I thought that this show was just so cute and I loved the relationship and the characters are so wonderful and entertaining that I was having such a good time. But then Toffee just shows up and I was like noo. This is my happy show please but make my happy show sad by hurting one of my characters! When he took Marco and Star had to break her wand I started crying because it was sad seeing my baby girl crying. Then the hug between after they discover the wand it was so beautiful and wonderful. I ship them so much! Starco forever. After that episode I was just thinking maybe this show will go back to be happy but then season two came around and it was like FUCK NO BITCH YOU CONTINUE CRYING! The whole time I was watching season two I had this feeling of something is going to happen and it is going to be bigger then last time.

Honestly I didn’t know how I felt about Star and Marco being a couple that first season because I thought they would have been cute but they have such a good friendship that I don’t want that to be ruined. Then season two came along and now I’m just like there is no other ship that isn’t Starco! STARCO IS CANCON! That episode where Marco gets locked in the closet and he has to figure out her secret to get out and he finds the journal that says her feelings on Marco and that was when I was like ‘Shit! She has a crush on Marco! What’s gonna happen?’ and then nothing like major happened for the next couple of episodes. But then the Bon Bon the birthday clown episode came and Marco gets a date with Jackie and Star gets jealous and spies on them on their date and I was just oh no things are about to get real intense up in here! Then Star mets 30 year old Marco and is super attracted to him and I was like who can blame you but then I was like   Star thinks Marco is hot and you can’t fight me on this!

We then have the Sleepover episode and the truth box says that one of them is lying about who they have a crush on but then they get into a whole thing and the box gets destroyed and thrown away. But then at the end of the episode Star screams Marco’s name and the box just goes ‘Yes Star has a crush on-‘ and then it crushed again! I was just like what! You can’t do this to me! Then the FUCKING JUST FRIENDS EPISODE! OMG! I just want Star to be happy and she just seemed so upset and I just wanted to protect her and give her love! If you don’t think she was upset then fight me because she basically destroyed a sign. Then comes Face the Music with Patrick Stump and he sings a song about the book being lost and Star having a thing for Marco and again I just wanted to comfort her because SHE DOESN’T DESERVE THIS PAIN! THEN STARCRUSHED HAPPENED AND I WAS CRYING SO MUCH! What is with this show and sad season finales?

The two are both awkward around each other ever since the song day happened and after a while they finally make up but then her mom tells her she has to leave because Toffee has returned and she finally confesses her feelings then leaves. He chase her up the stairs to talk to her but then the room is empty and then the credits is just silence as it shows the Diaz house and the place where Star’s room used to be and I just started crying because she left and she told Marco she liked him but before they could talk about she left and AHHHHHH! How could this show do this to me? I thought that this show would be cute and fun and it is that but then it just had to go and break me. I love Star and Marco and I just want them to be together. If they don’t get together I’m going to be so sad. I like Tom. He is fun character and I enjoy his friendship with Marco but I don’t like him being with Star. I’m sorry!

I don’t want Marco with Kelly either or Janna or Jackie…. I’m sorry if you disagree but this is just my opinion. I do think that Janna and Tom would be cute and I only think that because I read about it in a fanfiction and I thought that was cute. I haven’t see any episodes of season three but I have read some of the episode and I got so emotional that I started crying. I know it seems dumb but I love it so much.

That’s my post of Star Vs the Forces of Evil! Or aka why Starco is best post. I hope you enjoyed this post! If you haven’t watched this show, I highly recommend it! IF you have watched it then what do you think? Do you love it? Do you ship Starco? I hope so because I do and if they don’t become canon then I’m going to scream! Have you guys watched this show? What did you think of it? Did you like or did you hate it? Let me know! I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to look out for more coming your way. After We Collided by Anna Todd Review!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing After We Collided by Anna Todd!

WARNING SPOILERS

81iwgTvwHGL

F: Wasn’t a good read and a was a waste of time. Characters were dulled and annoying and so was the plot line.

“Just because he can’t love you the way you want him to doesn’t mean he does’t love you with everything he has.”

I wasn’t going to review this book because I didn’t think I had a lot of opinions on it but then I started my goodreads review and I wrote like four paragraphs and I still have somethings to say about it. Because it’s this book is so terrible and it’s been a while since I reviewed a book I hated. In case you are wondering ‘ Grace didn’t you read the first book? Didn’t you like the first book?” Yes two both questions. But just because I liked the first book doesn’t mean I have to like the rest of the books. If we are being real I don’t even like the first book anymore. I honestly debate about whether I even like that first book and it’s mainly because the relationship in these books is really terrible but they are more characters and a lot more scenes where the characters are likable.

So this book takes place right after the events After and Tessa is super upset that Hardin *still not used to that awful name only dated her as a bet. Hardin continually tries to win her back despite the fact that she wants him to leave her alone and he does it in the weirdest and creepiest ways ever. Tessa needs to get her car fixed and Hardin just takes without telling her. He also follows her, calls her, and whenever he screams at her a lot. He still gets super jealous even though they aren’t together. When Tessa is drunk and she drunk calls him, he goes to her hotel room and sleeps with her even though she is drunk and he is sober. When she wakes up, he keeps telling her that she wanted him and that he didn’t take advantages of her but I’m like Hardin you did. Yes Tessa said she wanted you but she was drunk and you were sober and you slept with her knowing that if she was sober she wouldn’t be sleeping you so you did take advantage of her.

I would just like how to say that I have no problem with big books but then thing about big books is that THEY CAN ONLY BE GOOD IF SOME FUCKING HAPPENS IN!!! Lord of Shadows is a big book and it is a big book that I love with all my heart but stuff happened  in that book *that book also had people i cared about. This whole book is Tessa and Hardin fighting, having sex, making up, fighting, breaking up, fighting, having sex, making up and it’s so annoying. There is six hundred fucking pages of all that. Their first break at the end of After which continues into this book last about hundred pages. This book as a lot of flaws the main one is that between the relationship is the main problem because it’s toxic. Super toxic. The beginning of this review has some great examples of why they relationship is toxic but I’m going to give you so more examples. For one Hardin is so super jealous. Even when they aren’t together he is still jealous like the scene after where they slept together when she is drunk and he is sober they are getting along but then suddenly she mentions that last night that she kissed someone and he flips out.

He is the worst! Hardin even tells her a lie just to hurt her and I’m like I know that you are hurt but you guys weren’t together so you have no right to act like such an ass. He leaves without telling her and goes out and hangs out at some other girls apartment and Tessa gets into a car accident looking for him. When she finds out that he went out and was at someone else apartment, he keeps saying how hurt he is and he does this all the same fucking time. Tessa was in a car accident, she is hurt physically and emotionally and you are saying you are hurt right now are you fucking kidding!

The characters aren’t the best. Tessa tries to be a strong heroine but a lot of time she isn’t. Hardin is one of my least favorite male leads I’ve read in a book. Sometimes as this book as chapters in his POV I would feel bad and think he was growing as a character but then he acts like an ass and we are back to square one. The character Zed is made to look like a villain even though he is just trying to get Tessa out of this relationship as all Hardin does is betray her and treat her like she is beneath him. He is does care about her and he loves her which he admits but he is trying to get her out of this relationship because he sees that it is unhealthy and abusive and Tessa literally says that everything Hardin has done is her fault which is not true. Landon continues to be my favorite and he is in like less then five percent of this book.

The sex scenes are so bad I couldn’t even read them. I tried to but the writing is so cringing. Half the time they have sex in public places or with people around and you have to wonder don’t they see? There is a scene where she leans back onto her desk and lifts her skirt and they have desk against the desk and it was bad. You have to wonder how can’t people see them. I mean she is an intern there is no way she has a private office and don’t people work around her? It just didn’t make sense. Maybe it was explained I didn’t may attention during any of the sex scenes because they are the same and badly written. Also I don’t like romance books.

Look this book has its flaws and I wouldn’t say that I loved it as I’m not a romance lover. I don’t know if I’ll continue this series unless book three is on sale or I somehow get a copy for free. I’m not saying it’s bad I mean at some points I was weirdly interested in the story but then Hardin would do something stupid and over react and Tessa would cry and I wonder how these two haven’t realized they need to break up?  Also is no one talking about the fact that the author took a line from Wuthering Heights and people are now crediting her for that line. Just me?

“Whatever our souls are made of his and mine are the same”

Speaking of Wuthering Heights this book really wants to be Wuthering Heights as both the leads are compared to Catherine and Heathcliff but hey AT LEAST WUTHERING HEIGHTS WAS INTERESTING!!! The author also really wants Hardin to be like Will Herondale which isn’t possible honey. There is one Will and you can’t replace him!!!! Will Herondale would throw up if he saw you. Will Herondale had a reason for pushing Tessa Gray *a good heroine because he was scared that he was going to kill her because he cared about her. Hardin just pushes Tessa away because he is insecure and he is abusive and he is such an ass. I think I like the first book more even though I didn’t really enjoy that book either as like this one it’s about six hundred pages long and nothing happens!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I should see the movie when it comes out because that would be one fun review.

Also the slut shaming in this book is terrible. Why do we always have to turn girls against each other to cause drama? Seriously? Can we just stop? It seems as if in romance books if you aren’t a virgin you are the bad guy or a whore and if you are a virgin everyone will love and you are an idiot which either of those things are true. I’m going to say this which is that as long as you are comfortable, being safe, and have consent when it comes to sex then that is okay. It just annoys me. Why do we have to put girls against each other? We should be fighting together but not against each other. Let’s write romance books with healthy relationships, good storylines, good characters. Okay? Okay. Writers let’s stop slut shaming, stop abusive relationships, stop making girl’s lives change when they met a boy.

Look this book is terrible. It’s one of the worst things I’ve read this year. The relationship is super unhealthy and this book is so fucking long and nothing happens other then them fighting and having sex. But I got what I wanted out this book. I wanted a read that I didn’t have to focus on and read easily, something that I knew I wouldn’t love but I wouldn’t hate *but i do hate it. Have you guys read this book? What did you think of it? Did you like or did you hate it? Let me know! I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to look out for more coming your way. You should follow my book club here and other social media links. The Last of August by Brittany Cavallaro review!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing the Last of August by Brittany Cavallaro!

y648

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

“I tended to spend too much time with my favorite things, loved them too hard until I wore them down. After a while, they became more like a shorthand for who I was and less like things I actually enjoyed.”

I have a review for the first book which you can read here. If you have read my review for the first book or you follow me on twitter then you probably saw that I was so excited for this book and that all I have done is think about the characters and the story because I love it so much. It came in the mail yesterday *i’m writing this on saturday the 17 of 2018 and I was excited. I tried not to read it because it was 12 and I would go be go for the rest of the day and wouldn’t be back until later. But I have no self control so I read this book and oh my god!! There is only one word to describe this book is shook. I have never had a book made me feel this shook since Lord of Shadows! Every page I felt like I was going to cry. So much stuff happens in this book and it’s crazy.

This book takes off a couple weeks after the first book ended with Jamie and Charlotte meeting up and hanging out after winter break. When I finished the first book I was so hoping that when this book started off we would get these fun and cute moments between Charlotte and Jamie and then all the drama would start but boy! That was not the case! We start the story and they are already fighting. So Jamie and Charlotte are spending time together in his house in London and we are told that all these cute and wonderful moments happen between them and then they are talking he tries to kiss her and but then things get awkward! When Charlotte said that she wanted to talk to him but she knew that they would fight so she decided not to say anything I break me because they love each other so much. This whole book I was waiting for them to kiss because they so wanted to but everything with August and everything else things were crazy. When they finally kissed and Charlotte asked him if thats what he wanted and they started fighting and then he told her to leave. Then she went out and used drugs and I was so upset because I just care about them so much.

After the thing with Jamie and he is in the hospital and they do stuff and she says that she just wanted to do something before he hated her it just broke me. The whole thing with her family just reminded me that they all need to go to group therapy. They don’t treat their daughter right at all and it sucks. They kept all this stuff from her so shit happened and AHHHH! We finally met Leandar but he isn’t around a lot because he goes missing and doesn’t appear until the end of the book. He carefully does care about Charlotte and he treats Jamie so nicely. I think that his part will grow as the books go along. Milo is in this book a lot more and like with the first book even though they don’t say it he and Charlotte really do care about each other in their own weird way. But with the end and he kills August! I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT! He shot August! He thought that he was his brother and he shot him! And then tells Charlotte that it’s her mess. THEN THE BOOK FUCKING ENDS!

I said it in my review for the first book I don’t trust August and through out this book I still didn’t trust. He was going do something shady and I wasn’t gonna let him hurt my children. Then when I finally allowed myself to like him HE DIED! I was upset! It was Aaron from the Silver Mask all over again. August is a good character like everyone else morally grey and maybe should get some medical help. I do have an issue with this book and it’s the same with the first book which is the fighting between Jamie and Charlotte. Their fights are repetitive and they never talk because every time they tried to talk things don’t go well. But if they never talk their relationship will become hella toxic and I don’t want that. Another thing is where this book is going with Charlotte and her mental health and drug abuse. She needs help and Jamie knows this as he has tried to tell her she does through out the book. I’m scared that this book will go down the Love can heal Mental Health and that’s just a trope I can’t see past. I’m scared that she will just be like I just have Jamie and I’m fine. I hope that their relationship can give her a reason to go and get help. I haven’t read a Case For Jamie and I’m scared because I’ve read the sample pages and I’m scared about what the hell is going to happen because they aren’t talking.

For Question for Holmes I’ve come up with an ending that could work and what the question could. I think that a possible ending is Jamie and Charlotte fake their deaths like Sherlock Holmes but they do it together and then Milo takes them into hiding and it’s like the Mockingjay ending where they adjust to their lives together but then one day they are like ‘hey let’s get together’ and they get live happily ever after. After then that I think could happen which doesn’t have to go with that weird theory but basically the A Question for Holmes we get like a flash forward to an older Jamie and Charlotte and they are together and happy and the question is Charlotte will you marry me and then she says yes and it relates to the first books ending with like ‘He always says yes’ but now it’s with Charlotte. Let me know if you think I should write this fanfiction. I’ll do it don’t think i won’t!

So in short this book messed me up and I love it so much this has honestly become one of my favorite series. I love it so much. I will totally be reading Case for Jamie whenever I can because my love is too great! These characters are just so amazing and wonderful and they all have problems and I hope that they get help and a happy ending. Have you guys read this book? If you have what did you think? Did you like it? I hope you guys liked because I thought it was great. I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to look out for more coming your way soon. *crying noise* | They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera review

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m reviewing They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera!

WARNING SPOILERS

33385229

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

“I cannot tell you how you will survive without me. I cannot tell you how to mourn me.  I cannot convince you to not feel guilty if you forget the anniversary of my death, or if you realize days or weeks or months have gone by without thinking about me. I just want you to live.”

So if we are being honest I read this book in 2017 but I had already posted my favorites of 2017. I told myself when I got it that I need to wait for 2018 so that I could put it on my favorite list because I knew I would like it but unfortunately I’m impatient. So I read it and I loved it but I felt like I was on edge the whole time like wondering when they were going to die and if they were go to get together that I was unable to put fully put myself in this world. So I decided when 2018 came I would re read this book and I would love it and put it on my favorite lists! basically I love They Both Die at the End. I have read Adam Silvera’s other books and I loved them as well but this one might be my favorite because I cried reading it. With History is All You Left Me and More Happy than Not I did this weird thing were I just hyperventilated because I have so many emotions. But with this one I just cried because even though the title tells you what happens I was still sad with what happened in the end *i also just took my act that day so i was really tired.

They Both Die at the End is about two boys who receive a phone call saying that sometime in the next 24 hours they will die. There is this app called the Last friend app and they meet through it and shit happens and it’s very sad shit and thinking about it is making me tear up. This is a great book and it is one of my favorites of 2018 so yeah. This  book was just wonderful and amazing and I love it! The relationship is so beautiful and wonderful and I loved the characters are so great. I was so upset that Mateo was never going to talk to his dad again and how he went to see him. After he died and Rufus went to the hospital and left his dad that note telling him about their lats day and that’s honestly the moment when I started crying. I mean I had like teared before that but I was like sobbing *i’m tearing up thinking about it.

I loved how you can also see the other points of views of other characters around them. It reminded me of The Sun is Also a Star whenever it did that which was also a book that I really loved. I thought that worked really well with this book as you do focus on Mateo and Rufus but you see everyone else and it just made the world and everything around it all read to me. I don’t know what I can say about this book another then the fact that it was perfection and I want to rereading until the end of time! Favorite book of the year! If you haven’t read this book then I highly recommend.

I love this book. It’s beautiful and heart breaking and beautifully heartbreaking. So hopefully the next I talk about this book I won’t tear up. I can’t guarantee that though. I’m really excited for What If It’s Us even though that book will fuck me up more than this one because both Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli are both writers that make me cry. Have you guys read this book? What did you think of it? Did you like or did you hate it? Let me know! I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to look out for more coming your way. The Silver Mask by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare Review!

Greetings Earthling! Today I’m reviewing the Silver Mask by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare which is book four in the Magisterium series!

The_Silver_Mask_cover.png

-A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

If you have read the first couple Book I read this month most then you know that I’ve been reading this series for a whole. This book came at sometime in fall of 2017 and I was on hold for it for a while and now months later I finally got to read it and I loved it! This is probably my favorite book in the whole series which really surprised. I thought it would just be another book in the series and I wouldn’t like it as much because Aaron was killed off in the last book. But I really liked it! I read this book on the way to airport which was a two hour drive and I finished it before the drive was even over.

I loved the characters and story. I wanted this book to be longer and it’s same sizes as the other books! It just wanted it to last forever. I can’t believe that this series has one more book it in because I love it. So basically the book starts with Call in prison and him dealing with it. He gets out with the help of Jasper who I grew to love with this book. I mean I feel like with every book I learn to love Jasper a little. In this first book I didn’t like him, the second book I liked him a little more, the third book I liked him a little more, and in this book I had never loved him. His and Call’s relationship was great. He is just talking about his love life and Call is just like shut up.

Tamara and Call begin a relationship which I was just like what the hell? I mean I wasn’t against it just came out of nowhere. I mean I don’t know what I could say about. It was like Cho and Harry’s relationship in Order of Phoenix. I think that they are both going through stuff and they needed someone. It also was out of the blue because I just didn’t see them as a couple and suddenly they were kissing and say hey you’re my girlfriend and you’re my boyfriend. It was all so fast. So if you didn’t read one of my books I read this month I talked about how something happened in the last book and I was very upset by it. My favorite character in these books was Aaron and in the last book he was killed off against my will and it broke me! IT BROKE ME!

So basically I was wondering what would happen next and you know whenever a character you love dies you wish that they would come back from the dead and GUESS WHO DID!!! YEP! Aaron came back and I was so happy but unfortunately I have seen this before. When characters are brought back from the died you know that they are going to pull some shit that breaks your heart again so while Aaron was alive I was waiting for something to happen because i knew something was going to happen. So I spent the whole book waiting for something to happen and then I reached the end of the book and I thought maybe I was just crazy to think that something was going to happen and then something fucking happened! I was like less then twenty pages from finishing the book and for some reason I thought it would be fine but clearly I thought that the last ten pages of Lord of Shadows was a blood bath! So my favorite character died again.

I really loved The Silver Mask! It’s my favorite in the series. There was so much in the story and the characters were amazing. I can’t wait for the final book. Have you guys read this book? If you have what did you think? Did you like it? I hope you guys liked because I thought it was great. I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to look out for more coming your way soon. Books I Read This Month! | January 2018

Hello and welcome to books I read this month! January / 2018 new year edition!!! SO I didn’t do one for December because I only read like three books. In case you guys are wondering I read 242 books in the year of 2017 which is amazing! January is always that time of the year where I read the most books because I read one like every day until I give up. I did re read a lot of books this month because I didn’t feel like starting anything new this month.  Let’s get started!

Zenith by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings

31394234

+B: Had a weird pace and took me a while to like the characters.

This is my second time reading this book and I have an official review coming soon so look out for that. I got a copy of this book at ALA after waiting an a line more then thirty minutes but it was worth because I’ve been wanting this book for a while now and I got it! I read this book the first time when I was in a book slump and even though I still enjoyed it I wasn’t able to place myself completely into the book. I told myself that when the release date got closer and I read it and I loved it a lot more my second time around. I’m not going to say a lot because I have a review for it here and I want people to read that. But I loved it and if you are looking for something to read I would recommend this book.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan

-A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

This was also I re read. I basically re read a lot of books this month because I want to read every single book on my book shelve and this was the first book on my shelf. I didn’t like this book as much as I did the first time but I still loved it. It’s just a fun story to read and I still enjoyed.

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

-B: Could has better and was too slow and only got good at the end

I did a review for this book last year which you can read here. If you guys don’t know who emmmabooks is, she is a booktuber who this year is hosting a read along for Shadowhunter books all the way to the release of Queen of Air and Darkness. The first book was City of Bones so I read it and it’s also Epic Adaptations January book of the month so my review for the movie will be coming soon.

Because You Love To Hate Me by Lots of People

bylthm_covcomp19_ver25b15d.jpg

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

I got this book on sale and man I loved it! This is my favorite anthology. I don’t usually like them because I only like a couple of the stories but for this story they were all great and wonderful and super dark. Also the booktuber stuff was amazing. I think my favorite one was Christine’s because it was so funny. I did like Sasha’s and Jesse’s and they were all so good! You guys should read this book because it’s great. All the villain’s story are just great.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

hpsorcstone

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

Um.. I love this book. It always brings me nostalgia. I don’t know what else I can say. I love Harry Potter.

The Silver Mask by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

I’ve talked about these books in the past and they’ve always been okay but this one let me tell you! I wasn’t expecting to love this book but I did! I’m going to make a whole review which is coming out soon. Basically the characters were amazing and I flew through this book and it broke me!! I can’t wait for the last book because it’s gonna be good!

Passenger by Alexandra Bracken

25326840

D: Nothing seem to happen. The characters had a bad attitude or were boring until the end. Story didn’t know what it wanted.

I wanted to like this book because everyone has been talking about this duology for awhile but I wasn’t entertained and it was boring and none of the characters were great. I wanted to like though maybe that was problem. I have no clue where I should read book two but I don’t want to.

Chasing Red by Isabelle Ronin

chasing-red-isabelle-ronin

D: Nothing seem to happen. The characters had a bad attitude or were boring until the end. Story didn’t know what it wanted.

Pros about the book:
• Veronica is an good lead (probably one of the better ones on romance books. meaning she has a brain and doesn’t someone to tell her what to do)
• Caleb isn’t a terrible person (I’m mean he has his moments when he should shut up)
• their relationship is okay (not completely unhealthy but there a lack of trust on Veronica’s side that leads to the down fall of their relationship)
• it has funny moments (but has the book goes on it stops being funny)

Cons:
• it’s really boring. this book is 397 pages and nothing really happens until your 90% Into the book and it’s still not that great.
• you can predicted everything that happens. some parts are original but not a lot
• Kara (the sassy best friend chapter who is getting her own book) isn’t funny. a lot of things she says are weird and not in a funny way like an awkward tempted to be funny.
•the relationship is very fast like they haven’t known each other for very long and suddenly their in love and they live together
•girl hate. enough said
•there is no plot for this book unless you call Veronica and Caleb being ridiculous plot. there is plot in the first 20 pages and last 20 pages and that’s it
•look I’ve read better if you like romance you’ll like this

I might do a whole review because I have a lot of feelings on it but I feel like this explains how I feel best.

If I was Your Girl by Meredith Russo

if-I-was-your-girl.jpg

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

I have no words. This book was amazing. It follows Amanda who is transgender and she is keeping this a secret and she mets this guy but she doesn’t tell him how she is. This book was so great and I would recommend it to everyone. It’s an own voice novel which means the author is also transgender. I just loved this book so much. I will do a full review later but this might be one of my favorite books.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

9781595148032

+C: A work in progress. Okay writing, not so great characters and story line but pulled through and was readable.

I enjoyed this book. I do think that it was overhyped for me and I did struggle a little but once I got into it I really enjoyed it. I will be reading the second book soon so look forward to that next month. I really liked Laia’s point of view more then Elias’. I don’t know why I just did. I really shipped them a lot  and I hope they get together.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon

41bz6juMwiL

-C: Was expecting more than I got. Characters didn’t get any development until halfway.

This book was interesting and I liked the way it was written. The story was fine. I kind of wish more had happened.

Cure for the Common Universe by Christian McKay Heidicklet

23656453

+B: Had a weird pace and took me a while to like the characters.

It started as fun, quirky book but as it went on it became awkward and boring. The amount of video game jokes just about kill me and that he was sent to video game rehab makes me laugh so hard.

Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab

-A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

That ending!!! What!!! What!!! Oh my god I didn’t expect that to happen. This book is amazing! I want more! I loved the first book and this book was just as great and I should probably read more books by this author.

Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella

9780553536515

-A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

I liked this book about the same as I did the first. It is a really fun book and I love the stuff with her mom and her brother. This book deals will with social anxiety as from what I’ve read social anxiety is you have a hard time going outside and making contact with others (i’m not a professorial) and I think that it did a good job (again I’m not a professorial). The relationship with Linus and Audrey is cute. I’m not like in love with them as a couple they’re cute but I wasn’t into it. I loved the family stuff more. It still bothers me that you never figure out what happen in the past.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

image

+ A: Perfect story with get characters and fantastic plot line.

This story was incredibly cute and I loved the characters! I related to Cath so much and Levi is the best fictional boyfriend ever! This was a reread and I loved it more the second times then I did the first time. It’s just such a fun read.

Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfield

61gxs4axKhL._SL1109_

-C: Was expecting more than I got. Characters didn’t get any development until halfway.

I mainly wanted to read this book because I love the movie. It’s one of my favorites and I was really excited to read the book but I was disappointed a little. I mean the book is still really cute and it’s enjoyable and I had a good time but I was expecting more I guess. I still love the movie. The movie is really good. I would recommend you guys watch the movie.

Paris for One and Other Short Stories by Jojo Moyes

thumb

D: Nothing seem to happen. The characters had a bad attitude or were boring until the end. Story didn’t know what it wanted.

It’s an okay book. I mean I mainly just wanted to the story about Paris and I tried reading the other stories and they weren’t great. Look this book is cute and I didn’t expect it to be great or anything and it wasn’t.

So I heard like 24 books in the month of January but because I read so many and I didn’t have a lot opinions on them I didn’t put them on here. I might take only talk about the book I have big opinions on for the next couple months. For this month I either loved so books or I didn’t like them.
