Rating: -A: Good story with characters that got better and a slow plot line

Who else was looking forward for this movie? Because I’ve have been looking forward for a new spiderman movie since Tom Holland appeared in Civil War. I made post talking about everything I was looking forward to and was scared about this film which you can read here and I even put this on things I’m looking forward to this year which you can read here. I was excited for this film but I had a right to be scared because let’s look at the past couple spiderman movies. I made plans with my best friend and we went to the six o’clock showing together and like no one was there which surprised me. Like even the ticket lady was like it, make sure to come early because it’s been a popular choice today.

I can now say that this film was amazing and I loved it! I loved Tom Holland as Peter Parker and I love Ned and I loved Zendaya who had a smaller part then I thought. This film was a Spiderman film. It makes you laugh, you get emotional, and it is so great! Is it my favorite Spiderman movie? No I think Spiderman 2 is my favorite like here are my favorites in order.

  1. Spider-man 2
  2. Spider-man: Homecoming
  3. The Amazing Spider-man
  4. Spider-man
  5. The Amazing Spider-man 2
  6. Spider-man 3

As much as I want to put this as my favorite there were some scenes weren’t as intense. Like the scene where Peter is trying to keep the ship from falling apart that wasn’t that of a intense. It was no stopping a train after Doc Oct blows up the railways and Peter holds it back with all his strength. That scene is tense as hell. This movie didn’t completely lack it though I mean that last fight at the beach with the fire and that other scene that happened before that with Peter under the rocks trying to get out so that he can stop the Vulture. I was like crying because it was like a moments out of the comics and I was like ‘Abby it’s out of the rubble! it’s out of the rubble!’. That scene was such a great scene, that was my favorite scene. Tom was fucking great actor in that scene.

I loved Tom in this movie, he is great spiderman. He is so dorky and nerdy and cute and very time things went wrong I just wanted to hug him! Peter was so precious in this film. I loved it. I also loved the other characters in the story like Ned and Michelle who I guess is the MCU version of MaryJane because at the end of the film she is like my name is MJ so I was right about her being MJ but I was also wrong about her being MJ. I loved these characters they are so great and funny. The scene where Ned finds out that Peter is Spiderman was so funny. The death star just falls on the floor and Peter is like what I’m not spiderman and I’m dude I know you what to keep this secret but you can’t get out of this. You’re wearing the Spiderman outfit, it’s too good to be a cosplay, you were on the ceiling like there is no way to lie about this.

Ned starts asking Peter all these questions at a fast pace like are you an average and Peter is like basically yeah and I’m like oh honey. Aunt May comes in the room and it’s just Peter shirtless in his underwear with Ned and she just doesn’t comment on it which was so weird for me. Like your nephew is in his room in his underwear with his best friend and you just right going to say anything about it. Has this happened before? Or does she not care? I’m just wondering because i think it is weird. The next day Ned is asking him all these questions about his powers and I’m laughing because they are some weird questions but like if you had never heard of spiderman then these are like the types of questions I feel like someone would ask. Ned is a fun character and I had so much watching him and Peter on screen. ‘I’m the guy in the chair’. I love when Peter is in trouble and then it looks like the shocker going kill him, Ned gets the web thing and saves him that was so great.

I also loved Zendaya. She has a smaller part then I expected but I still thought she was great. I mean she just pops up and says some one-liners but it’s great. So like I said before she is the character Michelle, she is not Mary Jane but at the end of the film she like my friends call me MJ and me and friend were Oh oh oh ohhh. I think she will probably Peter’s love interest because before Peter leaves she gives him like this look. If you saw the movie then you know what I’m talking about. I loved Liz Allen. I thought her and Peter were cute. I knew that something was gonna happen and that they weren’t going to get together because I know that they don’t together in the comics and they don’t get together in the film. I don’t know why they had that almost kiss in the trailer because it happen in the film.

I called that her dad was the Vulture. Sort if. I said it like a if what thing. I was like if her dad is the Vulture or works for the Vulture how awkward would that be. Then he gets to her house and the door opens and it’s the vulture and I’m like oh shit oh shit oh shit! That final battle was so epic and great. I loved it.

Okay I loved Tony in this movie. He just wants to be Peter’s dad and protected him and I loved it. He wants what is best for him. Also Tony and Pepper might be getting married that could be happening. When the Iron spider suit appeared, I was like whoa but then I was trying to remember what it called. My friend couldn’t remember either when the film ended, we went to the parking lot and asked her brother what it called. The film ends with Peter putting the suit on and Aunt May seeing him which I thought was so funny. I liked Aunt May and I thought she and Peter had a good relationship. There are a lot of jokes about how young she is. Also Flash I loved how we changed from him from dumbass joke to on the smart team thing that I don’t remember what it’s called with Peter. I mean he is still a dick but I liked him. Tony Revolori did great job and you known that they did a good job when they make you hate their character.

The end credit scenes though was so great! So the mid credit was with the Vulture keeping Peter’s identity secret and the end credit scene. I waited forever for it and then Captain America appears and started talking about being patient and I’m dying!

This movie was amazing and so much fun to watch. If you didn’t see this movie then why haven’t you seen it. Like go see it. I know that we’ve seen a lot of Spiderman films and in the end they have flopped but this one gives me hope that it could work out! IT COULD WORK OUT IN THE END! IT COULD WORK! If you have seen it though then what did you think? Did you love it? I loved it! Did you hate it? I hope you didn’t hate. If you did I’m sorry but I loved it. Let’s talk about Spiderman: Homecoming!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m going to talk about my thoughts on the new Spiderman movie starring Tom Holland which comes out July 7, 2017.

Spiderman or Peter Parker is a very popular comic character and one of my favorites superheroes. I normally would explain things about what I was talking about but you should know about Spiderman. Peter Parker was bitten by a spider and then he got powers. He is a great character who is very funny and I love his comics even though I just got into them recently. They are all great. He has had many chances at having live action movies. In 2002 -2007 we got three spiderman movies staring Tobey Magurie as Peter Parker and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson and a lot of other characters.

I have never seen these movies completely before but I don’t want to because they look terrible. I’ve seen some scenes from these, I’m sorry they look really bad. I know people like these movies but I don’t understand how. I mean seriously even after Spiderman 3??? *i’m sorry i know we all have different and i shouldn’t judge these movies because I haven’t seen them. People still like these better than the two movies made in 2012 -2014 which starred Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy.

I have a lot of unpopular opinions but the fact is that I like these movies. I loved Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. They had such great chemistry during this movie and I thought that it was a good movie. It was a good take on Spiderman, it was a deep film that followed a kind of depressing Peter Parker. I’ll admit I could have gone without the lizards and the second one had too many villains which made the third movie Spiderman fail.

These movies didn’t get another one which did upset me but for Captain America: Civil War it was announced they were recasting Spiderman and my sister showed me a picture of the guys they were thinking about casting and all I could think was ‘damn these guys are so young that they could be babies’. I didn’t hear anything else for the movie because I wanted to be surprised but then after awhile I forgot until my dad sent me the second Civil War trailer.

I texted my dad back in all caps SPIDERMAN. Then I saw the movie which was amazing and I think everyone should want to watch and I fell in love with two people that day: Peter Parker *well i already loved him but i loved him even more and Tom freaking Holland. He is so adorable in this film and he is closer to the age then Garfield and Magurie were. If I’m being honest I’m very attractive to Tom Holland, have you seen his Instagram? He is really hot. I loved him in this movie and when Spiderman: Homecoming was happening, I got really, really excited.

Then the first trailer dropped and I’d loved it.

I loved it! I had never seen anything so great and I could only think that is it! We are finally getting the perfect Spiderman movie! It is going to be amazing and perfect! I’m so looking forward to it. It has a great cast, a hot lead, a good storyline, a cute lead, Zendaya is in it and for awhile everyone thought she was playing Mary Jane but she is playing some girl named Michelle *or maybe she is playing Mary Jane I don’t!, Aunt May is really young for some reason, and it looks so good! I was excited for this movie, I put it on Things I’m looking forward in 2017 list because if you haven’t guessed I was pretty damn excited.

But then the second dropped the other day.

It made me excited because we got all new scenes, more Tony Stark, some Iron Man, more Tom Holland, we got to see an interesting Spiderman suit with new stuff added to it, more Peter Parker, and we finally see the new villains. Yeah that’s right villains, plural. You know part of the reason Spider-man 3 and The Amazing Spiderman 2 failed were because they had too many villains. Spiderman 3 had the sand guy and Topher Grace and maybe someone else like I said I have made it through this film. Then The Amazing Spiderman 2 had the electricity guy and Harry Osborn somehow got in there and decide to be the green goblin *i forgot to tag spoilers. spoilers.

I’m not saying it’s only Spiderman movies because there have been movies a lot villains and it’s never worked really and now I’m worried for this movie. That makes me nerve because this film is something that I have been very much looking forward to.

We have been given three villains who are:

Michael Keaton as The Vulture

Michael Chernus as The Tinkerer

The Shocker

I don’t know how I feel about this film now because I was looking forward to it but now everything is changing. I’m a little glad this happened though because my expectations would have been to high and have now they are almost at a realistic level now which is good or else I would have been really mad. I’m still excited for this film, I think it has a great cast and it could still be good. I’m not as excited as I once was.

I’m curious about a lot of things though because there have been rumors about Pepper Potts making a small appearance but I guess the same was said about Civil War but that ended up not happening. There was also that thing about Zendaya playing Mary Jane that went around which I thought would have been awesome but according to everywhere on the internet with information and Zendaya, she is playing some girl named Michelle. I also want to know if we are going to see Peter’s whole backstory, I mean I know we all know it and in Civil War they had Peter six months after he had gotten his powers but every spiderman movie has the origin story.

And another thing if you go on IMBD, you’ll find that a lot of people’s characters haven’t been named and that’s gotten me thinking. Like Donald Glover is in the film and my first thought was Miles Morales and Spiderverse but I’m trying not to think that because that feels like a giant long shot *i mean how cool would that be though, right?

I’m going to see this film, it’s in July and my friend and I are already making plans to go and see which is great because she is a big spiderman fan like me. We talked about this movie so many times this week it’s crazy. Most of the conversations I’ve had with my friends since week have been marvel related. I have a problem.

It’s all I want and all I need *i’m singing this in my head. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting so good and I’m worried that it is ending after Infinity Wars which I don’t want! Like what else am I going to do? Get involved in the new DC movies? Why would I do that? Also Spiderman is going to be in Infinity War which is cool!!!!!

It’s also been going around that there is going to Infinity War and the second spiderman movie but then that’s it for Tom Holland as Peter? Like are they going to others or is that it? If that is it then how dare marvel make me fall in love with new characters and new actors and then take them away!!

What do you guys think about this film? Are you excited to see it? Are you worried about the multiple villains? Let me know! I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to look out for more coming your way. You should follow my book club here and other social media links.
