Confess TV Show Review | Epic Adaptations

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m talking about the tv show, Confess, based off the book by Colleen Hoover which is my September book of the month!

confess tv shows

I did a review for the book which you can read here because it should be out by now. Let’s just hope that future Grace remembers to add the link. If you don’t know I have a book club called Epic Adaptations where every month I pick a book that has been turned into a TV or movie. Last month I reviewed Still Star-Crossed which I loved so much, you can read both reviews here and here. I was going to do the Handmaid’s Tale but I haven’t finished the show and I thought that it would work better in the month of October because the society in that book scares me so much!

This show follows Auburn, who works at an old folks home, and Owen, who is an artist and runs this art studio, and they have this whole romance thing going on and other dramatic stuff happens. If you read my review for the book then you should know that I liked the book but I didn’t think it was the best thing ever and that’s how I feel about this show. I mean it has some great moments and some emotional moments but I wasn’t that affected by everything that happened. It’s a good show don’t get me wrong but it wasn’t the best thing ever. The episodes were only like thirty minutes long which surprised me because I thought it was going to be an hour long thing but it wasn’t. There are only seven episodes as while which makes me wonder if it should have just been a movie instead of tv. I think that’s all I have for my non spoiler section so if you haven’t watched this show and you want to watch it then leave and then come back after you’ve watched it.

OKAY SPOILERS FROM HERE ALL OUT

YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO

Okay so let’s just talk about Owen’s cat for a second because it looks like a stuff animal and I had to pause and laugh because what the hell? And they keep talking about him like he’s really a thing and I thought it was so funny! The show begins like the book begins and I was so emotional for that first scene I did not think I was going to do. In the book I wasn’t that emotional watching her and her old boyfriend whose name I don’t remember saying goodbye because he was really sick and she had to leave but I was crying for some reason. The rest of the episode after that didn’t you do it for me like it was cute like a romantic comedy but it wasn’t that enjoyable.

The acting for this show isn’t great. It’s fine. With every other word that they said I was like no no no. It’s very cheesy. We met AJ really early into the show and like we didn’t even know what was going on in her life until like half way through the book. In the first episode we learn that she is getting a lawyer because she wants full custody of her son and we see that Auburn doesn’t always say what she wants to say. Like with every texts she is like typing something and then deletes it and types something else. I think I like book Auburn more than tv shows Auburn because just she was better and funnier and more confident then this chick. Also the look they gave to Owen on this show to make him look like the guy from Fifty Shades whose name I don’t remember. He was on Once Upon A Time for like that first season. You know who I’m talking about.

I liked the guy who plays Owen, I mean he’s not the best actor like I said but I like him. Lydia was the chick from Gilmore Girls whose April’s mom and I didn’t realize that until I watched Natasha’s video. I couldn’t figure out where she was from and it was driving me crazy and then I watched her video and I felt like an idiot for not recognizing her. That’s all I have to say. I’m sorry I don’t have more but I’m not as opinionated on this as much as I have been for the other shows but I hated 13 Reasons Why and I was upset that Still Star Crossed was canceled.

Accuracy: 50%

There are things that are correct about this show like the characters, their relationships and then there are these details that are changed for no real reason like her relationship with her roommate, the place of the city, where she works. They are other things like the story is changed a little to add onto the plot lined and changed to go in a different order. I did enjoy this show even though at some moments I wasn’t all that entertained, some moments were really great and emotional. I’m going to give this show for B like the book for being good but not keeping really interested in the story all the way.

Rating: B for being great but not keeping me on my toes the whole time

I enjoyed this show and I would recommend that everyone who likes the book to go and watch it because you will enjoy it. Have you guys watched this show? What did you think of it? Did you like or did you hate it? Let me know! I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to look out for more coming your way. You should follow my book club here and other social media links. Hey! I have finished my Still Star-Crossed reviews which if you would like to read those then click here and here. I hope you guys enjoy those reviews I was a lot happier reviewing this book and this show more then I was with 13 Reasons Why because I liked Still Star Crossed and I hated both the book and show 13 Reasons Why. Okay I’m done talking about 13 Reasons Why! I’m excited for the September book of the month which is Confess by Colleen Hoover!

I recently read this book and I discovered that you can watch it online for free so I will be reviewing the book and watching the show so look out for that!

This is my third time picking a book that’s been turned into a show. I mean to pick more movies! It might be a while because October is going to be the Handmaid’s Tale which is also a show. I could review that movie that they made in the 90s or the 80s but I’m not going to. If you would like to join the book club then click here to join or just stay tune on this blog to find out what book is coming next. Well that’s all I have to say about this, I’m excited for it and I hope you guys enjoy. Follow the blog if you would updates for when I post and follow my other social media links. Still Star-Crossed TV show review | Epic Adaptations

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m talking about the tv show, Still Star-Crossed, based off the book by Melinda Taub which is my August book of the month!

still-star-crossed

So I should have my review for the book for this by now which you can read here. If you don’t know I have a book club called Epic Adaptations where every month I pick a book that has been turned into a TV or movie. Last month was 13 Reasons Why and this month, I had a poll on Twitter to decide what book I should do this month. It was between the Handmaid’s Tale and Still Star-Crossed and Still Star-Crossed won! If you couldn’t tell by the fact that I’m reviewing Still Star-Crossed. It was also on my Top 10 Shows of Summer which you can read here.

This show was soo good! Yes I did watch this before I read the book but that’s because I had no clue it was a book until I was on like episode five and we only had two episodes left in the seasons. I did read and finish the book before the final episode so there’s that. I had such a good time watching this show I loved it so much! I loved all the actors and how well they played their characters. I loved that we get to see more of the characters in depth because the story in the book mainly focus on Rosaline and Benvolio. This was a pretty good adaptation of the book but they changed the ending so that they could have a season two but they ended not getting a season which I’M VERY ANGERY ABOUT! All the episodes should be on Hulu for you to watch so go and watch this show! That’s all for my nonspoilerly part of this review. I know it’s short but I have to talk about this show!

WARNING SPOILERS A HEAD

LEAVE IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED IT

OKAY GUESS WHOSE MAD ABOUT THE FACT THAT THEY CHANGED THE ENDING OF THE SHOW SO THAT THEY COULD HAVE A SEASON TWO BUT ABC CANCELED THE SHOW?? ME! You can’t just do that, well they can actually. But I can be angry about it. It’s so dumb that 13 Reasons Why is getting a second season a long with Riverdale and this show and Class aren’t. It makes me mad. A lot of shows I’ve watched this year have gotten canceled or I’ve just lost interest in. It makes me sad that’s happened.

I loved this show! It was so good and I’m so sad that there isn’t going to be a second season. But I’m done talking about that……for right now at least. The show is very fun and it’s very good and I enjoyed it very much. I posted my reactions to the season finale on Tumblr which if you followed me on, everyone seemed to enjoy. The show starts off pretty accurate but as it goes on they clearly wanted to do a second season so they started changing things and it was still good but I would have liked the book following better because it was happy and we aren’t getting a second season. I loved all the actors in this show and we got some great ones like Bash from reign, Gillies from Buffy, Earl Grey from Scream Queens, Elody from Before I Fall, lots of people.

The show is also very pretty as the pilot was filmed in Rome and the outfits are so pretty. I guess I should talk about this show now. This show follows after the deaths of Romeo and Juliet and the war between the family gets worse. To make sure that war stops before everyone kills each others, Ecalus the new prince decides that we needs to marry a Capulate and Montague to try and bond the families together. IF shit wasn’t bad before then it’s very bad now as people are killing each other, protesting, basically do anything to stop this from happening. We focus on Rosaline and Benvolio, the people who are getting married, Escalus and his sister Isabelle, the head of the two families, and just the families in general.

Watching this show unfold and see everything that was happening and who was behind  all the attacks was so great. Spoilers: Turns out Paris wanted to be the new prince and he tried to kill everyone and it went badly and I wished Livia had never saved him. I’m so mad that it happened. I can’t believed he just used her like that! NOW WE’LL NEVER SEE PARIS GET WHATT HE DESERVES AND OR HAVE LIVIA FIND TRUE LOVE!!! IT MAKES ME SO MAD! Another thing that makes me mad the fact that Isabelle and that Blonde chick whose name I don’t remember according to twitter they kissed but then it was taken out of the finale!!!! AHHHH! Now I’ll see their relationship evolve into some good loving! Okay I need to chill but I can’t BECAUSE I’M SO FUCKING MAD! I do like this show okay. I’m not mad at the show I’m mad at ABC for canceling it. I should stop.

Accuracy: 85%

The show started out pretty accurate but as it went on they changed the show so that they could have a second season. The characters were pretty much the same. The only character I would said changed a lot was Isabelle but I would say that she was changed for the better. I liked that she wasn’t married in this storyline. I wished the ending hadn’t been changed so that I could have gotten a happy ending instead of it ending like it did! But another then I that I liked this show and I’m giving it an -A.

Rating: -A for being amazing but it just left me hanging so

I enjoyed this show and I’m so sad that they changed the ending so that they could have a second season and they didn’t get renewed. At least I have the book ending which was happy. So for next month I will probably do Confess if I can get the link to work or if I can find somewhere to bootleg it *I’m not a good role model Have you guys watched this show? What did you think of it? Did you like or did you hate it? Let me know! I hope you enjoyed this review and make sure to look out for more coming your way. 13 Reasons Why TV SHOW review / Rant | Epic Adaptations

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m talking about the hit Netflix tv show based off the book by Jay Asher which is my July book of the month!

13ReasonsWhy

If you don’t know, I’m doing a book club called Epic Adaptations where every month I pick a book that has a movie adaptation and I review both the adaptation and the book. If you want to know more about it then click out this post here and if you want to read about my thoughts on the book then click here to check that out. If you like 13 Reasons Why then you shouldn’t read this review because you probably won’t like it.

So if you remembered from my review of the book then you should know that I don’t really like 13 Reasons Why the book and if you want to know then go read read my review of the book. I wasn’t looking forward to this show even before I re read the book, I still wasn’t looking forward to this show. Then it dropped and it trended on Tumblr for like a week and I went to school and everyone was talking about it. It was the new thing. I tired to give it a shot and I got like two minutes in and then I stopped because I didn’t like it. It just wasn’t close to the book in anyway. Now that I have re read the book and I’m doing this so I have watched the show and I don’t like it either. It just wasn’t good. I only really liked Clay and hell sometimes I didn’t even really like him at some points.

I can’t do a non spoiler part because I just have to rant about everything so if you haven’t watched this you have to leave because I’m going to spoil you in this.

WARNING SPOILERS

SERISOUSLY JUST LEAVE

OKAY! So where the hell do I began? The first episode was good which surprised. It was pretty close to book besides some thing like making Hannah and Clay friends and giving more flashbacks and I didn’t hate it. Liked that it made them friends because I thought it would have been better for their relationship. I’m thinking my rating will be like a high 90% but then episode to rolled around and my rating and my liking dropped. It dropped like every episode.

Okay that’s start with the fact that Tony is like Hannah Baker’s freaking secret agent. He was being really weird and mysterious and it was annoying as hell. I didn’t like his character. His only purpose in the book was for Clay to steal the walkman from him which Clay does in the show but then Tony just shows up everywhere like some old guy that appears in fantasy movies to give warnings and inspirational messages and I found it so weird! I didn’t really like his character because for one like I said before he was weird and one that’s literally all he is around for. His character is only for being that and that’s it nothing else so you don’t get to learn anything about him that would make him interesting. Guess the fact that he’s a secret agent is what makes him an interesting character but I didn’t it like that.

Another thing I didn’t like which was something I was half way looking forward to was us getting a closer look at all the characters. We never met any other characters besides Clay and Hannah in the book of 13 Reasons Why so when I watched Christine’s review of the show she said that we get a closer look at the characters who have tapes and Hannah’s parents. The other characters that have tapes in this story suck. They aren’t great people and they for the first couple episodes they are going after Clay because they don’t want the tapes to go to Bryce who raped Hannah and is the worst out of all them. I’m like why you guys all still friends? You know what he did what the fuck are you guys doing? None of them are interesting and the story is trying to get me to connect with them but I can’t. We one don’t know a lot about them or see them in any scene where they are doing something good. I liked Hannah’s parents because they are going through something that is hard to go through and it’s probably the only thing that is shown well on this show.

Can we talk about the weird dream sequence with Hannah’s mom killing Clay? What was that? I mean I would understand why he would have that if he had listen to his tape and then had met up with Hannah’s mom and had that dream I would understand but he didn’t so what was the point. Also if you are going to make Clay and Hannah closer then they were in the book why is Clay saying that they weren’t close! What was that! They are clearly friends! Also can we talked about the fact that Hannah doesn’t even die the same way! In this she gets in the bath and cuts her wrist but in the book she takes pills. Why did we need to make this change? To make it more dramatic because that doesn’t look go on Netflix or the people who run the show. You literally changed her death to make it more dramatic.

Also they shouldn’t have add the suicide or the rape scenes to the show because it can trigger people and they knew. The people went to therapist and specialist to figure out how they should do these scenes and they were told not to do it because people would be triggered and they completely ignored that! The message is still the same for this show from the book which is that love can heal depression which I don’t agree and they have this whole thing were Clay feels guilty about Hannah because she said that he could have saved her if he loved her. I have two reaction for this which is no not true she has no right to tell him this because it’s not true. It doesn’t work like that. And two this boy cared about you so much. Yes he could have been a better friend at some points but he loved her. THIS SHOW MAKES ME SO MAD! I need to stop. Okay we were done! This show started out really well but with every episode I liked less and it got less accurate.

Accuracy: 43%

The character names were right, the people on the tapes were right but I didn’t remember Justin being on there twice. It wasn’t that close to the book and I won’t be watching it again. I didn’t have a fun time watching this. It was boring it has the same messages as the book which I didn’t like and the show runners did somethings that I didn’t agree with which is why I’m giving it a D.

Rating: D for being really boring

I’m not giving it an F because I do think that the acting is great and I did enjoy that first episode so I don’t think can give it an F. I didn’t enjoy it and I wouldn’t watch it again because it felt longer then 13 freaking episodes! Also WHY IS THERE TO BE A SEASON TWO! WE DON’T NEED A SEASON TWO! *sighs to calm down Okay I’m done. For now at least. I’m not going to watch season two because it probably has nothing to do with the book and can we talk about how weird it is that Netflix renewed this but canceled Girl Boss, Sense 8, and the Get Down. What the hell? I have a poll on Twitter to decide what book I should read next for Epic Adaptations so if you could please check that out.

img_3977

Right now it’s between The Handmaid’s Tale and Still Star-Crossed and I can’t decide so please help! I don’t know what post is coming up next but look out for it. I’m so glad I’m done reviewing this show. Have you guys watched this show? What did you think of it? Did you like or did you hate it? EPIC ADAPTATIONS BOOKCLUB ANNOUCEMENT!

Greetings Earthlings! Today I’m announcing my bookclub called Epic Adaptations!

epicbanner

So if you didn’t know and I don’t think you would know, I’ve had a book club for awhile. It’s nothing special I had two books picked out and then I forgot about it. I felt bad because I really wanted to do it but I wanted to do something fun with it. If you also know that I want to do more movie posts. So I’m going to do both! This bookclub will involve reading book and the film or tv show that is based that book.

I will be picking one book once a month and the review of the book should came out in the middle of the month followed by the move review at the end of month. In the adaptations review, I will give two ratings. One will be an accuracy rating on how will it matches the book and then I will gave another rating on how much I enjoyed it. If I pick a book that I have already reviewed then I’ll probably just repost that review or I’ll redo it if I don’t like it or I forgot about something.

My book for this month is one that I’m picking because I already have a post ready to get started on and I want to talk about. The show came out a couple months ago and you heard about, it was trending on tumblr for like week. Yep that’s right for this month I’ll be reviewing 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher and I’ll also be watching the first season of the Netflix hit. I haven’t seen the show, I saw like the first minute and then I stopped watching because it was already wrong. I don’t know maybe I’ll like.

I hope you enjoy these reviews that are coming up soon like 13 Reasons Why the book review and Spiderman: Homecoming review. Look at for that! If you would like to join the book club then click here to join or just stay tune on this blog to find out what book is coming next. Well that’s all I have to say about this, I’m excited for it and I hope you guys enjoy. Follow the blog if you would updates for when I post and follow my other social media links. YOU HAVE TO WATCH A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS!

Greetings everyone! Today I’m reviewing the Series of Unfortunate Events which came out yesterday and I just finished it and I have a lot of things to say so let’s get started!

q9jqvvnr

Rating: + A: Perfect show with get characters and fantastic plot line.

I’m going to be honest I never read this series until last year. I’ll hold for your judgment *i feel the judgement right now I literally finished the last book on Wednesday. I had alway wanted to read this series but for some reason it took me 16 years to do it. I was going to put the ASOUE books on my 2016 favorites list but I just wanted to finish all the books first. So you guys should be seeing this series on my 2017 favorite book list. I had been looking forward to this series since the  first teaser trailer came out in like 2015 I think maybe before and I never heard anything also after that so I forgot but then more stuff kept coming out and I got so excited!

The show came on yesterday on Netflix and I started watching but then my sister got mad because I was watching it without her so then I stopped watching it and then we started it up again, finished it and now I’m here telling how fucking awesome this show was! It was spot on and beautifully filmed and wonderfully casted. It was so good seeing these books coming to life! It was perfect! Two trailers were released for this series one was funny and the other was pretty dark and I think that was pretty great. That’s what this series is it’s really dark which is something that it is know for but this story has it’s humorous moments. Sometimes that is hard for shows and movies to have that perfect blend because they can be too dark but not funny enough or like the case of the film version of this series they can be too happy.

This show was that perfect blend of humor and darkness that is this series which just adds on to it’s greatness. There was a movies that had the plot lines from the first three books, I haven’t seen it but I have hear horrible things about like the fact that they tried to squeeze  three books into one movie. The cast for the Baudelaire kids look much older then they should be and Klaus ISN’T WEARING GLASS! WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT? THAT’S HIS WHOLE CHARACTER! I MEAN NOT REALLY BUT YOU GET WHAT I’M SAYING! But we aren’t here to talk about that film we are here to talk about the show which is much better.

*movie left and tv show right

This show was so great. The characters were great, the story was great, I had so much fun watching this. Everyone was perfect this show was perfect. This show was a great kick off to 2017. Okay that’s all I can say for my non spoiler section so if you haven’t seen the show yet I’m going to ask you to leave. It’s for your own safety if you don’t want to get spoiled. Go watch it and then come back and finish this review. Bye bye! If you have watched the show then you can just keep on reading the rest of this review and I hope you enjoy.

WARNING SPOILERS FOR HERE ON OUT

IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCH IT LEAVE

I’M BEING SERIOUS

Okay now that the non spoiler people are gone let’s talk about this show! This show was the best and as soon as the opening came on I knew that was going to be awesome. If you know that in the books something that is said is that you shouldn’t read these books if you want something happy and that is what the opening credits for this show is. It’s Neil Patrick Harris sing about the story for the two episode and about how you should look away. The opening was written by Daniel Handler who wrote the books under Lemony Snicket so that just adds on to the greatness.

They also have Dear Beatrice after the opening in every part one episode because every part one episode is the beginning of new book and when that happened I was just like this show is going to be amazing. I was watching these with my siblings and my mom who hadn’t read the books so I was just freaking out and they were just like what?  I love that had the Dear Beatrice because those are such a big apart of the feel of the books and it made me so happy!

There are so many references and easter eggs to future books all over the place. When I was rewatching the second episode with my siblings I heard Count Olaf say something about a sugar bowl and I was I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE!!!! Speaking of Count Olaf who is played by Neil Patrick Harris was amazing. I knew he was going to be good when I saw the trailers and he was even better in the actual show oh my god it was great. He was so perfect as Count Olaf like in the books he freaked me out and he was able to make me feel like that again. I didn’t see the film like I said before but I have heard mixed things about Jim Carry’s Count Olaf so.

*movie left and tv show right

Neil was literally one of the best part of this show with the different disguise *#yessicahaircuts along with his henchmen and two women. They were all so funny most of the humor of the show came from their characters goofiness *well many the henchman. There were a lot of other reference like in the last episode when Olaf and the Hook handed man are running away, Olaf was just like that it’s I’m going to be working alone and I’m never going to have a partner which is foreshadowing is to come in the next season with Esme Squalor hopefully.

I think will bring her because this show was spot on in like every episode with characters and storylines. Some of the lines from the books make it into the episodes which is so great!

Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket was just fantastic!  He just narrates in a voice that is like soo nice to listen to and it’s also like kind of monotone which just makes it better. He was a lot of fun to watch because he’ll just pop up at random places and start talking and explain whats up and then they’ll have lot of things that help him go along with what he is explaining. I don’t think they had a Lemony Snicket in the film but I know that they had the voice of Jude Law. He probably was good I wouldn’t know but I think even if I had seen then I still would have like Patrick Warburton better.

I already talked about this but I’m going to talk about it again and that is the Baudelaires. They were casted so perfectly in age (well I think Louis Hynes is like 15 but he looks really young and Sunny is infant so that wouldn’t have been too hard) and looks. They all did such a good job as their characters. I loved Malina Weissman as Violet she did such a good job as Violet. Every time she put her hair up in a bow it was so dramatic and I loved it. Louis Hynes was a perfect Klaus and he looked adorable in his glass I loved him. Presley Smith is the cutest baby in the whole world. She is perfect for Sunny!

Other characters were on the show and other actors that I didn’t know about were on the show like Will Arnett and Cobie Smulders, they play two parents trying to get back to their kids and at first I thought that they were the Baudelaires’ parents but it turns out that they were they Quagmire parents and we see the Quagmire Fire. I was just freaking out and my family was just like what? Mr. Poe was a character that I don’t like but is perfectly performed on this show. Uncle Monty and Aunt Josephine were so fun to watch on tv when they die I was just like why!!!!!! The show ends with the kids at the Academy which is the location in the fifth book and the Quagmires are there with them and then it ends with a song talking about not getting a happy ending which was so great! I loved this show!

This show was perfect in every way. I need a season two right now! Netflix if you are reading this just get on it because it’s so perfect! Let’s hope for an even better second season if we get one. Did you guys watch this? Did you enjoy this as much as I did? I hope you guys enjoy this review and are following my book club here and other social media links. Like, Comment, and follow for more rants like these! Rating: -B: Could has better and was too slow and only got good at the end

Shadowhunters is based on the Mortal Instruments books series by Cassandra Clare which I have reviews for City of Bones, City of Ashes, and Lady Midnight out right now. My City of Glass review is coming out soon so look out for that. There already was a Mortal Instruments film and I liked it but no one else seem to but I was really looking out for this show ever since it was first announced and ever since I finished the series. My excited dropped though the more stuff they released because man it looked cheesy as hell and had an actress playing Clary that didn’t seem like the best actress.

I got what I expect. An okay show with Actors and Actress that some I found great like Alberto Rosendo, Matthew Daddario, Harry Shum Jr., and Emeraude Toubia. They played their characters so well and I loved them. Some I thought were okay which is the rest of the cast. I’m sorry to say that because to be honest I like Dom Sherwood, I thought he was good in Vampire Academy and he is not too bad to look. He very once and a while he seems like a good Jace but sometimes I just don’t like him. Clary on the other hand, she hasn’t been in a lot but man I had a little bit a hope that it was just the trailers making her look cheesy. Nope and what the hell is up with her hair?

Why is it orange? It looks like a wig but it’s not!

I have both pros and cons with this show. One of the cons is that it stopped following the books after two episodes. The first two episodes were pretty close to the book and they were pretty good episodes but then episode three came alone and man that was pretty bad. It was just so weird, episode three was my least favorite. I had a test the day after it air so I couldn’t watch but then I started watching and it took me three days to finish it because I just was bored. Jace takes Clary to this underworld bar and has her make out with a vampire and I’m like what???? Then Izzy is ‘hanging out’ with this fairy dude and I’m again like what????? Then we have got my baby Simon who was kidnapped and is now with Raphael and Camille. Alec is off somewhere.

Another thing was they tried to push the ships too hard. I mean come on?? One of the reasons I loved Magnus and Alec is was just watching their relationship grow and there also was a lot of funny moments with Alec trying to hide their relationship. But in the show they just tried so hard to push them together and it was just weird. I didn’t feel that connected to them or that Alec felt the same way for some episodes.  They also did something that I hate which is bring ship names into the show. I don’t find it funny at all I find it like they are trying too hard to be funny.

We also got this weird arrange wedding thing and I don’t get me wrong that kiss was epic and I think Lydia made the right choice with calling off the wedding so that he could be happy. I wanted the City of Glass kiss though after they had before grown and I didn’t get that. We also didn’t get the great Jace and Clary kiss that we got in City of Bones. We got some lame kiss that happened in front of the whole squad and not the romantic one we got in the book.

There were a lot of errors that were in the shows. Like Mrs. Lightwood is like stone cold to Izzy and nice to Jace and Alec but in the books she was nice to Izzy and Alec because they were her kids and stone cold to Jace. Also Lydia is from the Branwell family and she’s like my grandfather ran one of these and I’m like that’s not what happen did any one read the books.

I do have some pros about the show like I said I loved some the cast and how the portrayed the characters. My favorites are Alberto Rosendo and Emeraude Toubia. I love them so much as their characters and they are both very pretty. Everyone on this show is very pretty. I think that the show got better was it went on and with all this new season two stuff showing and it looks pretty close to the books now. They got the Smallville show runners and I’m currently watching that and I really like it.

This is a show where you shouldn’t go in expecting the books because it’s not going to be the same thing. Go into this to look at a different way of the Mortal Instruments because then you should be able to find some entertainment in watching this show. Do you enjoy the show? If you do then are you excited for the second season which comes back on tonight? I hope you guys enjoy this review and are following my book club here and other social media links. Like, Comment, and follow for more rants like these!
